How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There was a function on rooftop and it was very noisy until midnight - we were getting up at 3.30am so did not get much sleep.
It was clean and comfortsble. Easy walking to most attractions in the area.

Bed were not comfortable, pillows were lumpy. Breakfast was okay. Lobby had overwhelming perfume smell.
It was nice that it was centrally located. Elevator was quick

Thought it was overpriced for room size and facilities. Think you could find better.
The hotel is well located in Miraflores and staff were very helpful. Parking garage was a real bonus. The king room was very small ( not the advertised sqm ) but after a complaint they moved us to exactly the same room but slightly bigger . So not sure how that works. Breakfast was standard budget hotel fare.

The loud reggeaton playing at breakfast at 8 am. Was like being in a club, terrible music choice especially that early in the morning.
Good location, clean, comfy room and bed. Best water pressure in shower that we experienced in Peru. Breakfast was good, a nice variety.

Be careful, they add high extra fees at check in. The staff charged me half of the price of a night (plus tax) to check into my room a couple hours early (even though the room was already clean and available). In 2 months of traveling through Colombia and Peru, no other hotel charged me to check in early. Additionally, I accidentally booked for one person instead of two. When I arrived with the second person they charged me an additional 1/2 night’s fee for the extra person. In total, I was basically charged for 3 nights for a 2-night stay. Very unethical, and no other hotels treated me this way in 2 months of travel in the region.

Had to ask for a receipt from the front desk staff on three different occassions before they finally sent it, every time they made us write down our email addresses again. Service could be improved - a standard request, like for a receipt, should be completed the first time we ask! They also can only maybe do currency exchange if you request the day before.
Hotel is in excellent location, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and polite. Wifi worked, showers were nice and hot.

at first we had to park and the gentleman at the front desk wouldn’t let us park before checking in, but he was nice afterwards. Also the construction is a bit noise mid day if you happen to be there.

Interaction with the reception staff was not amazing.
Bed was big and very comfortable. Room was big enough and we can get free water at all times. Breakfast was lovely too.

Warning: The Hotel is next to a construction site. We were at first dissapointed by the lack of soundproofing, it felt like the cars were passing by your bed -> in Peru like many other countries drivers honk the horn for any action they undertake 24/7. The could not care less thst it's 3AM... Intersection.... Honk the horn .. sure, why not. That prooved to be however the least of the worries as we soon realized at 7 am that the hotel has a common wall to a contruction site. The noise was unbearable and could be heared throught the hotel , reception area, restaurant, lobby, hotel room. High recomend staying at a different hotel in the mear future until the contruction is over , unless you are ok waking up at 7 due to uber loud construction noise.
