Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

GermanyThe bathroom was not really dirty but could've been a bit cleaner. The street was very noisy and also lights from outside flashed into the room. So for me it wasn't a very restful sleep.

PeruIt only takes 1 bad treatment, 1 bad experience to take away all the good service I had experienced as a regular customer for 2 years now. I haven’t felt this way at any other property I have been to. The front desk supervisor insisted that I was wrong about my booking details and wanted me to pay an extra fee for the 2nd guest, even when I had already cleared the booking details out with the front desk clerk and asked for confirmation to booking.com customer service twice, and they both gave me the reason. She was so mean to ask for the fee, she really put me in a very uncomfortable situation, and then, she suddenly changed her mind and told me that no extra charge was necessary. Like, all the bad moment I passed was for nothing. I strongly recommend to making sure of what includes your booking and what does not, once you arrive to the property, so you avoid passing an uncomfortable moment, like I did.
