Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyA little difficult to go into town with no car (20min walk). Not every day dinner available.
Beautiful, calm and peaceful place. Very friendly personal. Hummingbirds and big Eukalyptus trees in the garden.

United Statesit was all fine!
It is a beautiful property with lovely landscaping. The rooms are very comfortable with very warm down comforters, a plentitude of soft pillows, and with plenty of hanging space and drawer space for all of your belongings. It is decorated beautifully in the Andean artistic style and one feels a great sense of harmony there. The owners Chito and Joyce went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and help with a few problems I had with the local ATM machine. The entire staff is welcoming and helpful. The Breakfasts were great with lots of fruit, eggs, pancakes, toast, coffee. I was so happy there that I will be back again to stay longer!

PeruHot water. It was difficult to keep a stable temperature.
The warm of every person there. Melissa and his dad were really kind. They make you feel at home. Melissa Wasi is on a really nice area between mountains disconnected from the traffic and population, but at the same time at 5 mins from Pisac downtown.

United StatesThe hotel charged us a 5% surcharge for paying our bill with a credit card, I usually don't carry around $700.00 in cash. That 5% surcharge should be noted on Booking.com
Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choices, freshly squeezed orange juice, egg choices brought to your table. The actual location of Melissa Wasi was much further away from town than the one pinpointed on the Booking.com website. It was 1/2 hour walking to the main square of Pisac. Otherwise the site was wonderfully quiet amidst Eucaliptus trees and gardens.

United StatesNothing comes to mind.
Our stay at Melissa Wasi was very peaceful and comfortable, especially after a few days of trekking in the Sacred Valley. There's very calming energy surrounding the property that's perfect for relaxing and recharging. The breakfast was delicious and nourishing, and Chito, Joyce, and Crystal were very welcoming and accommodating. Highly recommend!

United Statesno heat in the room but the blankets were warm. walls are a bit thin so I could hear other guests outside
The land is beautiful and quiet and outside of town. The staff is friendly and helpful. My bed was comfortable and the shower was really hot. Its probably a 15 minute walk into Pisaq, so you need someone to call you a taxi if you don’t want to walk, otherwise the drivers in town know how to get you there.

CanadaIt's a little distant from the town center, but that also makes it a quiet place so not something to really complain about.
A friendly and warm welcome that persisted throughout my stay. Beautiful hotel run by beautiful people. People that really cared and took care of their guests.

United StatesThere was confusion on the cost/person/room so it ended up costing way more than we expected and was also much more expensive than other comparable properties in the area.
The property and location were wonderful.

United StatesThere is no heat or internet in the rooms. They say they have internet in the restaurant where they serve breakfast but it never worked when I was there. We had to go across the street to the yard or main house to get any wifi. It was 20 degrees Fahrenheit at night and they did not offer space heaters or anything other than the blankets in the room. The father also constantly contradicts the rest of the family. The wife said they take credit cards then the father demanded cash. The wife said In front of the father that we could leave our bags in our rooms past check out so we could go hiking. At breakfast when the wife wasn't around the father ordered us to remove our bags and leave them in the main house. This was frustrating to deal with. Pricing for one person is not bad at $45US but they charge per person. For 2 people to stay in the same room it was $108US. That seems high for what is offered.
The grounds are beautiful. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was great and the staff was incredibly sweet. The whole family that owns the place are great. Most everyone was incredibly friendly and I enjoyed my time with them. I will definitely stay again if i travel alone.
