Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainAbsolutely loved our stay here - it was the perfect slice of luxury, having just finished the Salkantay Trek. The room was comfortable, large, and of course had the best amenities - wonderful spa and sauna. Staff were fantastic too - friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a stay here.

CanadaA little disappointed with the sauna and the pool; the water on the swimming pool was very cold, the hot tub was only half filled with water which was only warm and inside to sauna was a suspicious smell...
Breakfast was very rich, fruit salad, fresh juice, cheese, ham and yogurt. Very good coffee and several options for how to serve eggs. Spacious room with a space for relaxation, fridge, kettle for coffee and tea. Bathroom with 2 sinks, large shower and hair dryer.

IrelandWe booked specifically for the pool. To use the pool you must book an hour long slot, and they are only available from 7.30pm in the evening for hotel guests as they offer use to the public during the day. The pool itself when we did manage to get a slot was not filled up to full depth and as such the water could not reach the filters and it was dirty. There was a film all along the top of the water and bits floating in it. Very disappointed.
Very comfortable bed, shower spacious with hot water and good pressure. Good wifi connected.

United States1st floor smelled like cats. 2nd floor smelled like cigarette smoke. Checked in at 8PM; room still wasn't ready, no compensation for waiting. Hair in bathroom. Shower water was cold, water pressure was weak. Sink didn't drain. Room window was left opened to a smoking room which was unsecure (wide open) with curtain closed upon entry to room.

United KingdomThe hotel feels very dated. There was wallpaper peeling off in our room. When we tried to use the spa bath there was no hot water (barely lukewarm) and lots of gunk came out of the jets when we turned them on. For the price paid (specifically to have some R&R after doing the Salkantay Trek) we were disappointed. We did get properly hot water in the mornings, but not the evenings.
The bed was very comfortable and when there was hot water, the spa bath was very nice.

United KingdomThe reason we booked the hotel was for the swimming pool and spa facilities but we were massively disappointed. you only get one hour free of EITHER the pool or the steam room and sauna. We went with the pool and arranged to pay for additional time the following day. However, the pool was absolutely freezing, too cold to get in and the water level in the jacuzzi was really low. We cancelled the addition time but very disappointing. Also the breakfast was pretty bad, we didn’t even go for breakfast the second day and went and found somewhere local to eat.
The room was spacious and the bed was big, warm and comfortable.

AustraliaIt is hard to put words to something that doesn't exist. The spa suite has some minor to major water damage but it doesnt take away from the experience. Unless you're one of those people that complain for a pea under the matress. Instructions for the spa would have been handy. But we called reception and assistance arrived 5mins later. Food is brilliant. No complaints
Everything avout this hktel was beyond expectations. The walls had some water damage but the staff and facilities made for an excellent evening. We were also given 1 hour in their wellness centre complimentary. Which after 45hrs travelling from Sydney, was a welcoming gift. We had amle time for a nap, quick shower and dinner before spending 1hr in a sauna/steamroom that gad delightful aromatic leaves similar to eucalyptus. I wish i had stayed here and paid for the accomodation instead of the dismal offering from the tour company, note: avoid Aranjeuez Hotel its barely a 1 star in comaprisom to here. Both are 3 star rated according to BK.com but in comparison the PARADIS is a 5-star all day long. Staff were super firendly, spoke english food was impeccable. The rolm was carpeted and silent. We arrived in time to shower, have a nap beofre enjoying the complimentary steam room. The leaves that were in the steam room were a relaxing addition slight eucalyptus native to Peru. I wish we had more time as i would love to sit in there again. I can't explain how good the smell was. Our room was USD73, included breakfast for 2 and is far superior to every hotel ive stayed for the price. Heavily under rated.

Czech RepublicHotel gives impression of luxury but the equipment is very used and the shared rooms have a smell. Breakfast is the same every day and quite small (you get only one egg and need to pay extra for more). You can hear noise from the hallway in your room. Shower was broken when we checked in and we had to wait one day for repair. Hot water doesn't always work. The spa area could be reserved for 1 hour every day but it was almost not worth it. The stream room was very used and smelly. Jaccuzi was half full and the pool was cold. Only one of the receptionists could speak some English.
Big room, TV, bathtub for two (whirlpool).

Great location, Six feet from the Peru/Inca Rail, even though my initial GPS placed it about one hundred yards away.. Bus stand ( Convettur.com) for Machu Picchu's 25 min ride is just 1/2 block from the hotel. Our room faced the fabuloso river. Other reviews, regarding the train noise, are nonsense. After all the activities that you will do, ur too tired to hear anything, irregardless of ur room location. Sensitive folk need to stay elsewhere & put on a big pair of chones. It's ONLY one TRACK, NOT a multi track terminal. The trains r old school in size, not 🚫 the giant sized diesel engines 🚂, pulling over 20 containers. Staff is friendly & professional. Beds are very comfortable, semi hard posturepedic mattress is perfecto. Restaurants, mini beverage stores, $ exchange, artisan market & other essential businesses are close from the hotel. Overall a great places to stay.

SloveniaThe hotel has a pool, which was the main reason I booked it. However, you should book it in advance, but nobody told me that. I at least wanted a hot shower after that, but only got a lukewarm bath. Very disappointing. Also, the location isn't good All in all, the hotel didn't justify its price and expectations.
It was still a nice and comfortable hotel The space heater was a nice touch in the cold Cusco
