Like in all lodges in the Canyon del Colca there is a bit of mold on the walls due to the humidity and the lack of heating infrastructure. No problem for a few nights but if you are allergic bring medicine.

    - Beautiful lodge with a pool - Kind host - nice room with a big bathroom

Think something to sit on and relax around the pool would be great instead of having to be on the grass.

Great location down in the canyon, nice swimming pool, friendly host, delicious dinner and pancake breakfast. Basic, neat and clean room with good en suite bathroom and great hot shower :))) great views from the restaurant where you can also go sit and relax and read etc.

No good chill spots, the hammocks were super uncomfortable and there were only 3 of them for the whole hotel. No comfortable chairs to sit at. Breakfast was very stingy, no fruits.

Beautiful garden & pool, bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

It wasn't well signposted. We missed one sign painted on a rock and found it based on the picture of the swimming pool on booking.com. There wasn't anything to sit on by the pool.

Great to have a comfortable bed for the night. Swimming pool was very welcome at the end of a hot walk Food was good. Excellent pancakes served at 5.30am before our walk out.

It is quite difficult to find. Signage could definitely improved. Follow „Tropical“ Markers, it is the one before Tropical. A shaded (!) are with sunbeds/ comfortable chairs and comfortable hammocks (not consisting of material compared to fishing nets) was missing and definitely would improve the accommodation.

The room was very nice, seemed quite new, clean, like in the pictures.

Breakfast wasn't great before a day's hiking - just pancakes and jam, no protein. I notice other reviews say it was good though so maybe it's just because we are vegetarian (we were the only ones having breakfast at that time so can't compare). It's a shame there aren't some deckchairs near the pool to help enjoy the lovely space more.

Lovely pool area. Comfy bed. Overall a decent clean room. The price is comparable to others in the Oasis.

Cold water in the showers. (They say it was exceptional as it works on solar power....but it had been hot and sunny all day). Not particularly friendly staff. (I guess too many 1 night foreigners in groups as guests). Very difficult to find in the village....there is no map to show which hostal is where when you arrive and the hostals don't make much of an effort to send you to their competitor and Google maps doesn't work there. For jnfo, its the second last one downstream on the river....there are signs for Tropical....follow them and you'll find it on the way. its at the other end of the Oasis freom "Eden'

The dinner was fine, and.the prices of drink, food, room were fine. The.swimming pool was very nice and so is the garden nearby. the organised mules to take me up the mountain in the morning (as I'd hurt my leg.on the trek the day before). that was great!

It is not we’ll sign-posted but it is on Map Me. And we just asked lots of people and found it relatively easily.

We were super pleasantly surprised by this place! (I think they’ve taken on board a lot of feedback from previous comments). Our little hut (room and adjoining bathroom) were super comfortable and clean. The dinner was a good feed (and they asked straight away if anyone was vegetarian - which I am - and the gave me the best omelette I’ve had in ages). And the breakfast was really tasty. (Also extra tip - when you get back up to Cabanaconde exhausted after your hike, we had amazing (be it super simple) fresh fried egg rolls from the “fast food restaurant” a couple of doors down, on the right, in the main square.)

Bit chaotic at times, they don't have a lot of staff and the booking process doesn't seem to work properly so it's just luck if you turn up early enough for them to have the same kind of room as you have booked. Some scorpions and spiders in the room but to be expected. Bathroom floor flooded when we showered as there was no shower curtain.

Great location, great pool, big portions of food, hot showers, wifi, snacks and drinks. We walked round the other hostels in the valley and this was by far the nicest. Cocktails and food is reasonably priced.

I was disappointed about the food, i think they had some miscommunication about the amount of ppl coming as there was no food. Lunch was very late: 2pm! I had to make a fuss to get an egg with my vegetarian dinner (lunch was fine) BCS they didn't have enough eggs. I said if i won't get some protein then I'd like a discount for my dinner (i don't eat meat) that's when they gave me an egg. Their page says 'delicious breakfast included' but it was just plain two packages with a bit of strawberry jam and a hot drink. Wouldn't call that delicious. Just standard and the hotel ain't cheap. BCS of its location it's more difficult to get food down there and i can understand that, but they have daily mules coming and going to and from this place so they should be able to arrange something as the oasis is the most popular destination during the colca trek.

The hotel is stunning, the pool cleaned everyday and just gorgeous. Really beautiful place. Great rooms, hot water but uve gotta wait for it to heat up, let it run for at least 5-10min, warm and clean rooms. Make sure to arrive as early as possible ! ( I don't recommend 2 days trek to colca, first day is really exhausting then and u don't get to enjoy the oasis in the sun, BCS sun is gone around 3pm due to the positions of the oasis inside of the canyon, and then u have to get up super early to make a 9:30 bus to Arequipa) i recommend 3 days trek so u can enjoy the sun in the oasis (leave your previous stop at 6am!) And then don't worry about leaving the place around 6am BCS the trek up has quite a bit of shade along the trail and there is another bus to Arequipa at 13:30 so u can reach cabanaconde and have a lovely breakfast there while u wait for the bus to Arequipa ;)
