How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Everything was great! Our first night in Lima and the staff were really helpful and the location couldn't be better!!!! You literally walk out into the main square and everything is walking distance!

There's not a social vibe, everyone is on their business
The facilities are great, you got everything you need, but the rock star is Pablo, he is not only constant, careful and earnest in effort and work, but also one of the most authentic and nicest human beings I met, He is the sun that makes sunny days even better, and cloudy days into joyful days. Sebastián was also so kind. Thanks a lot, guys!

Great environment, very comfortable, close to a lot of places in Lima to visit. Also good free tours available. All the staff were amazing. Jossimar made the stay awesome.

I had a great experience in this hostel! The location is great and it has good facilities. Also liked the pisco sour class the staff organized. Especially Sebastian, Pablo and Yosimar were really fun!

Pariwana was great. I enjoyed the entire venue and the party. Sebastian and Pablo were the highlight of my stay with his customer service at the bar/terrace. Highly recommend staying here.

A toilet brush is missing in the toilets 😂
The three things I like the most are the location, the facilities and the staff. Kathya, Valeria and Belén were not only so friendly but also so quick and efficient. I will come back for sure!

The bathrooms could be cleaner. The air fan in the room was very noisy during the night, but without it it is so stuffy :(((

The best hostel in Miraflores with some of the best staff to help you out with anything you need. Very thankful with Pablo Margot, Yoshimar,, Nahuel, Ana, Flor, Nicolas, Belen, va Katia, José, Jano, Dani, Najid, Carlos and Sebastian for making my stay and trip amazing

The room was very hot, and although it had air conditioning, you had to ask the staff to turn it on for you, and they would turn it off if it had been on too long. Also, it was very loud in the room, there must be a club or something next door as there was a speaker blasting dance music until 4/5am. The kitchen is very limited so you are basically unable to make any of your own food, it only had a microwave, and there was one bowl so cereal for breakfast was basically a no go. perhaps to encourage you to use their ‘restaurant’.
The hostel was in a good location, Miraflores. It feels much safer than the classic city centre. There is also something going on every evening, salsa lessons, pisco sours making, ping pong tournament so you will never be bored. They offer daily ‘free’ walking tours in different areas which is a great way to explore the city in a safe environment and meet other travellers. You will need small change for the bus and some money to tip your guide though.
