    Nothing.

Stijn and Edith were so warm, personable, and helpful. They make you feel at home, but a home where you have no worries or responsibilities. They help you navigate Ollentaytambo, the services, any challenges you face (we were managing altitide challenges and our bank not recognizing where we were), and go the extra mile to make your stay easy and comfortable.

we didn’t have to see the place well because we arrived at night and leave early next day; that’s the reason for my rating.

Place looked good, clean and the attention was excellent, they welcomed us with a hot te when we arrived, room clean with nice and typical decorations.

Bathroom started to smell a bit, but ultimately not a huge deal.

The owners are kind and caring, the common space is gorgeous, breakfast provided is good, and an absolutely unparalleled view. Sitting on their veranda and looking at the mountains, the ruins, and a breeze blowing felt like a paradise.

The lodge is located right next to a beautiful little river just down the road from the center of town. It is plenty close enough to walk to town. The surrounding mountains and views of the ruins are incredible. There are beautiful gardens and a very pleasant dining area where they serve a great breakfast. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The lodge was quite cozy, with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Stan, Edith, and Luisa were very helpful in getting us settled, offering suggestions on restaurants, and giving us tips. Very friendly people. The river running outside, and the natural feel to the place, sets a nice ambiance that offers a great alternative to the hustle and bustle in town. Breakfast was delicious, with scrambled eggs, fresh bread and jam, coffee, and tea. Additionally, tea is available in the evenings. We will definitely come back for another stay if we’re ever in the Sacred Valley again.

The room was a bit small, but we new since you can tell from the pictures.

The lodge is beautiful, true to the pictures. We had a triple room with view to the mountains and the creek that passes right next to the property. The staff is wonderful, very accommodating and ready to help. The owner is also a certified tour guide who took us to Machu Picchu and gave us a private tour, fantastic experience! She also helped us with transportation arrangements from Cusco Airport to Ollantaytambo. We would definitively go back!!

There was a lot of issue with the hot water system for 3 of our 4 nights. I had to contact Edith to address it. WiFi was spotty too.

It was good value for 4 nights. Edith and her husband was very friendly and helpful. It’s about 5 minutes walk to the main square. Breakfast was wonderful - real scrambled eggs, fruit/yogurt salad, bread/butter/cheese/jam and coffee/tea.

River Urumbaba is right next to the hotel and due to heavy raining the river was extremely full and fast running and LOUD. I could barely sleep all night from the constant noise! I understand it was an extreme few days and normally the river is really quiet so it was only my bad luck!

When we getting into our room, I found that the light bulb in the room is broken. Also, there is no cup provided. After we checked out from the lodge, my wife found her necklace was lost. She thought she might left the necklace in the room. So we contacted the hotel. But we never get any response from the hotel about this.

The lodge is within walking distance to the main square and train station.

It was super noisy. You can hear all the other people staying there and the street noise. Although away from downtown the noise really came through. We did not get a good sleep at all.

We liked the location as it was away from downtown, but close and easy to get to downtown through the alleys. Also it is located by a beautiful creek and the view was very nice. Staff are very friendly.

One of the reasons I have chosen this place it was because of the view, but they put me in a room with no view to the mountains and with the window turn to the street, because of it I heard A LOT of noise during all night long, it was awful. Furthermore, in the description they describe that there is hairdryer avaiable but there wasn't

The breakfast is prepared for the group, so they delivered in my table a whole breakfast with egg, tea, coffe and breads.

it was on a major road and intersection in this small town across from some type of motorcycle repair shop. literally revving engines through all hours of night 24/7. walls so thin I could hear my neighbor in the bathroom or a cough. add to that the loud inconsiderate voices of the neighboring establishments , homes and farm with roosters also at ALL hours. I literally begged them to stop so I could try and get an hour of sleep. it’s billed as peaceful and on a river - but that’s not even close to what I experienced. I told the owner he offered nothing for my completely wasted 2 rooms there. he is trying to present a nice place but nothing will ever combat that noise. worst experience I can recall in Peru or Ecuador where one understands some noise can’t be avoided. I hate to leave a negative review as I know it affects someone’s business but please do yourself a favor and do not book this place. I’m not fussy or very particular - but you cannot rest here and that’s what one looks for in ollantaytambo.

Industrial shop across the street grinding metal and pounding at various early morning hours; Roosters crowing at 3a.m.; Dogs barking all hours; Road noise starting at 7 a.m.; low water pressure at times; and No heat in the rooms (asked for a heater and was told to try the room with just the beds alpaca blanket).

Inexpensive; Owner's Staff were very accomodating; Top notch scrambled eggs; Airport Transfer for a fee; Arranged Tours; and Views of surrounding mountains and ruins.
