Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe apartment could have been cleaner.
We were kindly provided with an early check-in when we arrived very early on an overnight bus - it was much appreciated. The apartment was spacious and comfortable.

United StatesSome things that could be improved: 1. The hot water takes a while to come out. The cold water knob is actually hot water and vice versa. 2. There were no extra towels/bath mats. We had to use one of the two towels they provided as a bath mat. 3. This next one is not their fault, but it is good to know before booking this place: the location is on a busy street right before a red light. Loud noises from pedestrians and cars passing and honking non-stop. If you book anywhere in the center of cusco or around Plaza de Armas, this is to be expected. If you don't like this, book somewhere else like in San Blas or anywhere further away from the city center.
Some things we liked: 1. The location was close to Plaza de Armas. 2. The staff was nice. 3. The room has a balcony, clean, and comfortable bed. 4. There was a view of the mountain from the living room. 5. There were microwave, large fridge, stove, pans, plates, utensils, dining table, couch, and tv in the room.

PeruBreakfast was not that nice, disorganized, not on time, and overall not worth it so don't count too much on it. The kitchen is very messy and dirty, not a place you want to go to. If you don't like cats, they have 2 running around the hotel, (for me it wasn't a problem).
We stayed in an apartment type of room, it had a balcony and great sunlight. It was comfortable, really modern (like newly remodeled), and overall pleasant to stay at. They had the option to have breakfast to go in case you had an early tour which was super convenient. The staff is really nice and they are available 24/7 at the reception which was comforting. They sell a lot of stuff at the front desk in case you are missing something like water, a toothbrush, etc. The location is really good, a couple blocks from the main square.

United States“Soundproof rooms” is listed as an amenity. This is very misleading. Any room/apartment facing the inner courtyard could clearly hear any conversations and the doorbell to get into the lobby. The fact that you could hear everything going on in the hotel was our only issue with our otherwise outstanding stay.
Great location and staff. The apartment itself was spacious and clean.

South AfricaIt took a while for the check in lady to answer the doorbell so I was waiting outside for a while with my luggage. It was a bit loud with the noise from the traffic below.
The location was close to the main square. The bed was extra large and really comfortable. Shower temperature was really hot and had a strong pressure.

United StatesThe flushing water is not very powerful for the toilet. The kitchen is equipped minimally but is sufficient to prepare simple meals.
The hotel is very conveniently located near the plaza de Armas. It is close to everything. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The toilet in our room was broken and our room was changed to a bigger room immediately. The staff helped us book a taxi and we got to the airport very early in the morning with no problem.

United KingdomRooms facing the street are a little noisy at night (so opt for inner rooms or bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper)
Great location very close to main square, shops and restaurants. Also walkable distance to train station. The host, Caro, was best thing about this place! Always happy to help us and very responsive. Coco tea always readily available in reception.

United KingdomWhile this was a larger suite on the top floor during our second stay at this property, the bathroom (whilst modern, renovated and spacious) had an issue with the shower leaking out water due to poor seal/ design. Some surfaces in the kitchen had a bit of dust on them, which could be better cleaned with a bit more attention to detail, otherwise no complaints.
Excellent location, just minutes away from Plaza de Armas and drop-off points for most tour buses. Lots of shops and ATMs in the vicinity and there’s a large supermarket (Orion) not too far away either! Very cute living quarters, superbly managed by Karol, who is extremely hospitable, friendly and attentive as a host! Room itself was large and spacious, kitchenette fully equipped for the purpose of our stay and we were also provided heaters for the room when we requested. Breakfast was delivered to our room on request and the staff was super flexible and eager to help make our stay as comfortable as possible, which is always a nice feeling as a guest. Great views from the top floor of this suite towards the mountains as well! Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough for a few days’ stay in Cusco! :)

United KingdomThe bathroom could have been bigger/ better. Shower leaks water due to faulty seal/ poor design. There is limited ventilation in the bathroom as well, so occasionally there is a bad smell from the plumbing I guess. No shower gel provided; shampoo and conditioner weren’t dispensing in the shower.

United KingdomNearly had a mischief in the slippery shower, so some mats for safety would be good.
The place was such a pretty building, 5 mins walk from the main square. The ladies that ran it couldn't do enough for us, they were so friendly and laundry was turned around in less than 12 hours, amazing. We were only there for 4 nights and didn't have breakfast there. Great little apartment though.

PeruWe stayed two nights during a rare rain and snow event in the city. There were leaks in the glass ceiling in the patio and a minor one in a corner of our room. I have been in more expensive hotels in the city with similar problems.
Superb location. Only a couple blocks away from the Cusco central square and all important sightseeing sites in the city. Very friendly staff. A very spacious, small apartment with modern fixtures and furniture. Bedroom with King size bed and a well-equipped kitchen, large LED TV in the bedroom with wide choice of channels. Excellent and very comfortable for two people. We had a nice apartment on the third floor with street view. My travel was work-related and the living room was very good for sitting and doing work away from the bedroom. Very affordable pricing.

United KingdomThe room /Apartment at the front was too street noisy for us. It had a fabulous view though
We arrived and sadly had a room which was on the street which was too noisy for us, they quickly offered us a swap into a large apartment at the back which was quieter and had 2 floors and plenty of space. It was perfect . We enjoyed the location and the staff helped us in every way we needed. They helped with Taxis, our laundry and the rom was cleaned and fresh teas supplied daily The owner offered us a complimentary meal as a way of apology for the noisy first room. The restaurant was Aura and was delicious. Internet was great and breakfast was a nice touch

Finlandinitially we were put in a much smaller room than we had booked and not even close the same amenities (eg. no balcony). When complaining, they said that our original room was under repairs. Then we got ourself another room that was lovely and even better than we originally booked. If you have a room with windows/balcony on the street side, the honking hors and voices from the street and a big problem for light sleepers.
location was great. price/quality good. staff friendly. there is a big difference in the rooms, so avoid the cheapest ones.

CanadaAs nice as it was, it seemed as though no one had used the room in a bit as it was quite dusty.
It is located so close to the main square. I had the apartment style room, equipped with a full kitchen, living room and large bedroom. Even though, my windows faced the Main Street, I didn’t even notice the noise. This was a big deal for me, switching from another hotel that was not soundproofed internally.
