Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

NetherlandsWe did find it too expensive. The location and Roy make up a lot as they are both fantastic. But there is no breakfast, swimmingpool, bar or anything. The waterpressure is very low and the look of the bungalow we were in is charming but it was not very clean or high end. However they are still building up the place, if they will add services and use cleaners, then it is worth the price.
Roy! He is the best host you can wish for. Superkind and allways ready to help. Really an amazing man. He even contacted us via our Spanish teacher after we left as we forgot some clothes. Roy is just one of a kind. Also we loved the location: it's in the quiet part of Máncora (you really don't want to be in the center of town with really loud music till 4 am), you walk to town in a few minutes. But right at the beach there are 2 nice restaurants and you can also go to the hotel next door to use their restaurant. You will here the road from your bungalow mixed with the beautiful noise of the waves.

United StatesFollowing comment in "the blessing but a curse" category. Located adjacent to Selina Mancora means easy access to the bar, restaurant and grounds. Roy can help with access to services of Selina such as yoga classes and massages. It also means that music from the abundant nightlife of the Selina property spills into Puerto Te. I love house music , but it made getting to bed early a bit challenging
Roy is an excellent host. He is very attentive and works to ensure the guests comfort. The beach front is a plus.
