Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt’s quite cold even in their summer (we were there in February) and the weather is unpredictable (sun, rain, high wind). So take lots of layers! And payment is cash only which is good to know in advance.
Stunning place in Lake Titicaca with amazing hosts. The scenery is incredible, and Franco really made us so welcome. Everything is very well organised. Plenty of space just to rest and relax, and also go on excursions and learn about the Uros culture. The food was the best we’d eaten in a month in Peru.

CanadaA very special experience staying in Uros a community located on lake Titicaca. The hosts made the experience incredible..teaching us about the culture and history of the area. The rooms were gorgeous with big sweeping views of the lake, the most comfortable beds, a bathtub! And 3 delicious meals. Thank you Franco and family we will never forget our time at your place.

PortugalThe place is absolutely beautiful, the food was great, the hosts super friendly and we even did a tour to another Uros floating island where we learnt about the history and construction method of the floating island houses. Many thanks 😁

TaiwanNothing :) no wifi service but it doesn’t matter. 4G signal is smooth.
The room is really comfortable. There’s heater in the room and even in the bed. The whole family of host are pretty nice, the meals are delicious! The view of titicaca lake is really amazing but peaceful. This is our best stay in Peru. Highly recommended!

Franco and Mery were the best hosts! We felt very welcomed and enjoyed learning about the floating islands and their culture. 3 lovely home cooked meals; a personal tour around the islands and history of the lake/floating islands, as well as the chance to do kayaking on the lake all included. We spoke some Spanish but Franco’s English was impeccable. Great views of Lake Titicaca all around you! It can be a little cold (as you are in the middle of a lake!) so be sure to bring some warm clothes. Either way a heater was provided and hot water available too. Our favourite place to stay during our trip in Peru!

United StatesMy partner and I had the best two days! Franco picked us up via boat from the main port and we arrived within 30 minutes to the lodge. The room was clean, large, warm, and accompanied by a heat source for the night time. The bathroom was clean and warm water for both of us to shower! Also, the food was AMAZING. We truly loved eating the food cooked by their family. The meals were extensive with several options and always delicious. I couldn’t recommend it more!

RomaniaThere is nothing I can think about.
EVERYTHING. One of the most beautiful and nicely located places we've stayed. The room was large and bright, beds were huge and with extra comfy mattresses and pillows. The bathtub with a view is gorgeous. Terrace just outdoors is ideal to spend time relaxing and enjoying the sun. Hot water runs 24/7 and you can take a bath without being afraid it runs out. Gas heating during the night makes you not feel the harsh cold. Food made locally by the hosts is simple but delicious, with nice touches. Breakfasts are very healthy. The host family is very nice and quiet, didn't intrude our privacy and Wily helped us better understand the way the Uros live and build their floating islands in our balsa tour at sunset. We definitely recommend staying at Qhapaq. Hopefully we'll be back one day. For those working, as we did, there is a stable 4G connection with several providers.

Hungary- You have to get used to cold nights and the gas heater may runs out of gas, so be careful how you use it.
- great location, fantastic view - very friendly host - good food, especially the breakfast - nice boat trips - the quiet... Our host showed us the neighborhood and explained a lot about how the community lives and how the houses were built. It was really interesting!

BulgariaAn amazing place in a beautiful location. Wily and his family made us feel at home with their warm welcome. They pay so much attention to the smallest of details, delicious home cooked meals and an a educational boat ride are all part of the experience. The room is spacious, cozy and comfortable, with incredible views from all sides. The outside deck with full bed is a great way to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. Building and maintenance of the floating islands is a lot of hard work and I have gained a tremendous respect towards the Uros people of lake Titicaca, and am thankful for the opportunity to be able to experience a bit of their way of life and culture. We will be back there some day for sure! Highly recommended unique experience!

GermanyUnderstandable for the circumstances of living on a floating island the water to shower was wam but with low preassure. Take into account to pay in chash and confirm in advance the exact amount so there are no difficulties.
The room is the only one on the Island. The Terraze has a nice view and a comfortable outside bed with a sun protecting umberella. The room itslef is spacious and because of the windows with a lot of light. You are able to see sunset and sunrise out of the room. The eco-bathroom has has everything you need and it is very easy to use. Willy and his family is very kind and did our weekend unforgettable. The price included a tour to the 120 islands and the markable points as the soccer field and the local primary school. He explained very good how the Islands are build and how they have to maintain them to keep flooting. The Food was awesome! Big breakfast (Fresh fruits, bread, cheese, hotcakes, scrumbled eggs), lunch and dinner. We always were satisfied and even with the last minute change to vegetarian food it was delicious and every day different (lunch and dinner). With the small solar pannels we had light at night and even could charge our phones. For a day trip to the Taquile Island we payed 70 soles per person with the lunch included.

IsraelLong story short - they disappeared in the time of check-in and cancelled our stay 5 hour after the appointed time of check-in. After receiving a booking confirmation weeks in advance and talking to the hosts about the time of our arrival, they didn't answer to us for two day before our arrival about pickup or meeting point for the boat. Me and my mom got to puno in 5 am and were stuck on the street with our luggage for 5 hours before receiving a message from booking that the hosts cancelled our stay in that very moment. It has been almost a week and still no answer from the hosts or booking about the reason for cancellation or any compensation. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DONT GO HERE. We had to look for a free hotel to that night after ordering this hotel weeks in advance.

United States1) Advertised free WiFi — they did not have free WiFi and when they finally brought it, it worked for 10 minutes before it stopped. This was problematic as I had some work I had to commit to. 2) Nowhere in the advertisement did they mention we would be part of the Uros community, which I was honestly trying to avoid. 3) Ad said free parking but we had the host hunt us down in the middle of Puno after we had paid him demanding the extra 40 soles that we had already paid to the man who kept our car. 4) Big hot tub, no way to fill it because the water doesn’t stop draining. Not that you want to use that much water anyway, but it would be nice if the wand carried hot water instead of only the tub spout so that you could more easily bathe. 5) Took us 4 times asking how much we owe the family for them to come up with a number, and it was such an awkward interaction. On top of that, it was about $200 soles more than what was quoted on the website and we have no idea why, just the vague idea that they charged us extra for food and or other activities. It seemed dishonest given the Booking.com advertisement. 6) Ridiculously high amount to charge for the experience, so the value isn’t there. On top of that, given the amount they’re charging, it is absurd that they don’t take credit card or any kind of online payment.
The facilities were clean and comfortable, and we caught a beautiful sunset on the lake, but we were less than pleased with the false advertising involved in this booking and the awkwardness of the hosts.
