The house met all expectations and was truly a place to relax and enjoy nature. The hosts were very kind and gave me a feeling of being welcomed. I can totally see myself coming back and staying for longer.

I wish I knew that they offered tours to the Uros islands. We did the tour from Puno on a boat with 50 other people. Some other guests at Casa de Valentin did the same tour with only the three of them and it sounded like a much nicer experience.

This was maybe one of the best places we’ve stayed. Breakfast was delicious and the lunch and dinner were filling and tasty as well. The shower had hot water and the electric heater did a lot to warm up the room. It was in a great location easy to walk to town and easy access to the trails in the area. Everyone who worked there was super helpful and welcoming, even though they were busy with maintaining the place as well as the festival. Don’t miss the recommended mirador hike if you’re fit and acclimatized to the altitude.

It's a beautiful and quiet location, friendly family run business who are helpful and accommodating, assisting to arrange an airport taxi and boat tour. Comfortable bed and a great lake view.

Nothing to do with the property itself but the place is freeweezing cold (we travelled there in July 2022).

Very clean, very nice people and you HAVE to try their Ceviche (order the day before). Get a boat trip to Uros Titino, one of the floating islands nearby (45 min boat trip) - definitely worth it!

Valentin's place is amazing! We arrived at sunset and the view from the beach was breathtaking. Valentin and his son are extremely friendly and they gave us good advice on things to do in the area. The food was good and the room was super comfortable (hot shower!!!). I would 100% recommend this place.

The company of Mario and his kindness, as well as his wife Juliana. The time dedicated to visit the island with us, and explain us everything about Taquile history and culture. Food was also great thanks to Juliana's talents for cooking.

It was really cold at night so make sure you have very warm clothes and extra snacks in between meals.

Loved the Valentin family. Felt adopted! My kids loved it too. It's part guesthouse part farm so they spent a lot of time with the animals. Hubby and I spent time on the Lakeshore and in their dining area with breathtaking views of the lake and area. This is a remote area so you pretty much have to go all inclusive. We didn't see any other good options. Town is two shops. This is an authentic homestay type experience being with a kind, humble Peruvian family. We adored them. The rooms are basic but comfortable and very hot water. Heating however there is none but bed covers plenty,,so bring warm clothes!! It's cold but totally worth it. Food is all home cooked by the mom and hot water all day for coffee and tea and chocolate. GETTING THERE - we did it local style and took a local bus from Puno to Capachica then from Capachica to Llachon( takes about 2 hours from Puno) tell driver Casa de Valentin - they all know it) OR you can get a taxi direct from Puno or Juliaca for about 30 USD. (1 hour 15) Very hospitable family. We will def go back and hope it doesn't get ruined in the meantime! Summer visit next time! Thank you Jesus and family we loved you and your hospitality. While the staff tried to be helpful, I felt like I needed to nudge them a few times to get things done/arranged. Not much water coming out of the shower.
