Room is very small and everything old. No noise isolation. Pretty hot inside the room. Must leave keys in reception every time exiting the hotel. Would not stay here again. 5% charge if paying by card.

I didn't like the darkness in the halls, the smell of the room when we got there.

I liked the attention at the service desk, the comfortable bed, the location. I also liked the breakfast buffet, the cleanliness of the room and the kindness of the receptionist. We were allowed to leave our bags in storage after we checked out.

Obviously like most hotels, it's hard to meet fellow travellers. Breakfast could be improved as there's a buffet but the scrambled eggs aren't kept warm so it's often cold.

Clean. Good location to tourism points. Staff very helpful. Storage unit. Ok buffet break. Lifts which are great for heavy luggage!

The only issue was the neighbouring club was a bit loud and had a tendency to play music pretty late at night. But that’s no fault to the Hotel.

We stayed here for four nights. The room is very comfortable. Bed was really nice, and they have hot showers! We were impressed that the cleaning person came in every day to give new towels and restock toilet paper. I’ve never had a hotel cleaning person that was so on top of everything as much as Recreo Hotel. And the people that worked at the front desk were all so friendly and helpful! The location is great, very close to the walking strip between Plazuela Recreo and Plaza de Armas where there are a number of restaurants to eat at. It’s also very close to Avenida Espana where you can easily grab the B bus to Chan Chan.

Theres no AC i guess, only fan... mind you, Trujillo is hot. We can hear the noise of people making love in the room next door.

The bed and towel is clean. The hotel also located just two blocks from Jr. Pizzaro so its easy to find food or sight-seeing until plaza de armas. The breakfast is simple but nice, they give you egg, cheese, ham, yogurt, fresh bread, fruits, and juice. The wifi is good, the TV also have a lot of channels with live sports channel too including football.

Our room didn’t really have a window. The one it has was towards the indoor patio which is more or less the hallway.

Very central hotel. We stayed there in between busses during the day for which it was perfect.

My room was on the ground floor near the reception. You could hear the neighbors through the walls and people rolling their luggage through the halls. Around 6 AM there was a lot of noise from various hotel activities. I'd ask for a room away from the reception. The room was a bit small bit there was space for your things and a closet to accommodate unpacking.

I stayed in a double room for 5 nights. It was a very comfortable experience. The hotel is in the city center about 15 minutes from the Plaza de Armas by foot and 1.5 blocks from the main pedestrian street Pizarro. The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was s buffet of scrambled eggs, bread, cheese, olives, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee. There was usually hot water with good water pressure. WiFi was strong.

Cozy bed, clean bedding, good hot shower, good buffet breakfast, big closet, having a small refrigerator in the room. Good location, close to city center, main street and local market. Nice staff.

Can hear TV in neighbor's room easily. Sprinkler system directly over the bed looks like a second shower. Room could be very small for two guests and bags. Wifi sometimes not present.

Quiet room with only little traffic noise. Comfortable beds and delicious breakfast. Very friendly staff. Close to city center. Absolutely valuable for the price.
