How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The house is quite loud.

A little noisy but, that’s to be expected in a city! I slept fine with my headphones on.
Clean, comfortable. The bottles of water were a nice touch. Good location near the airport.

Clean room within walking distance of airport. The communal bathroom was clean and had hot water. La señora even brought me a plate of food for dinner.

The hotel was quite difficult to find. It has only a small sign on the wall, and my uber driver had to persevere to find the place.
For an overnight stay in Lima before catching a plane out the next morning the hotel was ideal for me. Cheap, clean, and a 20 minute walk to the airport in the morning. The walk would be more difficult if you had more than a backpack.

Just be aware the location can be a dangerous at night. This is mostly just a good place to stay in the hostel between flights.
Stayed here to be close to the airport when I had one night between flights. The host was so kind, I was feeling really sick and she made me rice and eggs and tea! It was seriously so kind. The bed was really comfortable and everything very clean.

Hard to find as the sign on the front is very small, but it is exactly where it says on google maps. We landed at 10pm and felt comfortable walking there with lots of people around it felt safe however we chose a taxi for our 4am return to the airport as the area was a bit sketchy and we wouldn’t have felt safe there walking back to the airport with no one else around.
Very short walk from the airport (7minutes) although you have to cross a main road. Helpful landlady, comfortable beds, quiet location, hot water and clean shared bathroom. She organised a taxi to the airport for us the following morning as well.

This was a fantastic place to stay as an overnight between flights. It's 5 minutes by taxi from the airport and the lady host was super friendly. It's not really a safe area (I went for a walk in the morning and 2 locals told me to go back to to the hostel. As an over night place between flights it was perfect and amazing value for money.

Inability to communicate in English.
It is just 5-10 minutes walk to airport, my primary reason to book at this location. The place is perfectly adequate for a quick transitory stop. It is clean and provides basic needs in most simple and adequate manner. Also it is economically priced.

All good. Towels, one bottle of water and shampoo were provided.
Location is perfect if you are looking for something close to the airport. However, please keep in mind that this area is considered one of the dangours areas in Lima.

Just to note, if you have North American 3 prong adapters , the plugs here only have two slots. We weren’t able to charge our phones while we were here but it was ok because we charged them in the airport!
We stayed here because we needed to catch an early flight and it was perfect! It was clean and the beds were comfortable. It’s a 5 min drive from the airport and 15 min walk I’d say.
