A Fine Stay for One Person! Excellent Location!
    • Business trip
    • Solo traveller
    • One-Bedroom Apartment
    • Stayed 13 nights

CONS: * No terrace - the listing claims there is one, but no. Not a deal-breaker, but inaccurate. * The pillows were very flat. I bought a memory foam for $14 at the supermarket and was fine for the stay. * The apartment got hot - it was summer, and the place needs a fan. I borrowed one from a local friend. * The refrigerator is small - ok for 1 person who eats out and just has drinks and leftovers. * It would have been nice if there were printed instructions when I arrived - something like "turn on the hot water heater, it is in the closet in the bedroom" and wi-fi instructions, and possibly an area guide for people who don't know Lima that well. I told the host that she didn't have to meet me at check-in, so maybe she normally does that face to face. * The bathroom could use a new shower head * The mattress was uncomfortable. I realize everyone's tastes are different, but I usually sleep easily anywhere. All of these Cons are minimal (except the mattress), and shouldn't keep you from considering this apartment.

I just finished a two-week stay (only one person) at the apartment. Here's the PROs and the CONs (the Pros greatly overshadowed the Cons): PROS: * The apartment was super clean * Location - San Isidro is a nice area of town. I felt perfectly safe, even late at night. There was a large and pretty park right across the street - much nicer to look at than some other apartment building. The apartment is one block from Avenue Dos de Mayo, with a ton of stores, banks, bodeagas, restaurants, and two supermarkets. Another bonus was that since it wasn't in the heart of Miraflores, I saved a fortune because the casinos weren't in walking distance! * The building staff were very nice, helpful, and polite. They did NOT speak English, if that matters to you. * The Wi-fi was strong and without issue * Host communication was great, both before and during the stay * There were plenty of electrical outlets to meet my needs. That's not always the case. * The building's Pool area (top floor) got some sun, had wonderful views, and wasn't ever crowded. There were however, chair hogs that left their towels on the loungers all day. I just moved them when I needed a lounger. * There were plenty of places to put & hang things in the bathroom. Another thing that isn't always available.
