Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Switzerlandthe service was very slow. we were in the empty bar and we ordered a tequila and a cuba libre and took 20 minutes. the rooftop pool is very nice, but small, and only has two sunbeds. we were lucky the hotel was pretty much empty so there weren't that many people so we always had place by the pool.
nice hotel, modern spacious rooms. rooftop pool with bar service from the main bar and gym. good location. convenience store nearby. decent breakfast. very comfortable beds and big shower.

Germany- TV was in Spanish only and it took two people 45 min to set one channel to English. An English manual how to do that would have been nice. - The TV remote did not work from the bed. Even after telling the receptionist twice, I felt like they did not understand what I was telling them. - The breakfast was a disappointment. They did have a little bit of variety, but it looked sad and I expected a bit more. A milk alternative would have been nice as well. Some Oatmilk for example. - I did not have warm water on the first day and on the second it was boiling hot without me being able to turn it down. They did fix it while I was having breakfast though and it worked perfectly afterwards.
The Hotel is located in the heart of Miraflores, which seemed to be safe, and right next to a couple of fantastic restaurants. Also, the bed is super comfy and I enjoyed my stay in that regard. Internet Access was also very good and the Wifi worked without any issues.

GermanySee above. Keep in mind that you are charged 10% service fee of your total price. This 10% is not included in the final price. Some hotel in lima charge the 10% others don't.
It is a good hotel, however it has not the standard of a 5 star hotel. Everything is pretty basic. Gym is ok, but very old and not maintained. Room size and beds are outstanding. Really comfortable. Location is very good.

United KingdomThe carpet outside my room was filthy. It was never vacuumed. The breakfast was basic and rubbish. The staff in the breakfast area were kind. Most of the staff didn’t speak English. The manager of the hotel was strange sometimes kind and sometimes rude, I wanted to extend my stay and she became strange it was very off putting. They host functions at the hotel which is very noisy for the guests and no consideration is given.
The bed was comfortable. Some of the staff were kind but only after I complained.

Canadawe had check in problems very late at night (midnight) because we did not know in advance that proof of parentage would be required for a parent to check in with children. We had passports and all forms of Canadian ID for children but this was insufficient and caused a major delay in checking in after 18 hours of travelling. We had to make arrangements to contact another person at midnight in Canada before we were allowed to check in. We did not encounter this obstacle at any other hotels in Peru. The vigilance was excessive, the children were obviously with a parent. Our shower did not have hot water. We could only have cold showers.
