Alex was very attentive. Love love loved the 2 bedroom. Having the dining/kitchen in addition to the two very large bedrooms was amazing! I would highly recommend this location. Plus, it was a quick walk to the plaza!

We had extremely limited time here we got in late and flew out early, but the room was very comfortable and the staff very nice.

Alex is very attentive and ensures you have a good stay - he helped us with early breakfast, storing our luggage during our trek, recommendations for the city, everything. The room is clean, hot shower with great pressure, comfortable bed. The room we booked had a little balcony and a lovely view to the nearby ruins. Great central location but at the same time our room was very quiet.

Everything was perfect!!

Awesome room, location, breakfast, and staff. We had a direct line with Alex via Whatsapp. Alex was always there for us! He truly made us feel like queens. Would recommend staying in the 2 bedroom. Zero - literally nothing we did not like!

I previously wrote a review in full, detailing how much my family loved staying here with us! It was their first time in Peru and it was my 7th time in Cusco (over a 10 year period - my husband is Peruvian). To let you know how much I loved staying here, I can say it’s the best self catering place I have ever stayed in, in Cusco. I have obviously experienced many, many places and I only wish I had found the Katari sooner! There’s no point in looking any further, book the Katari. I say that as a fellow traveller from the UK. I stayed at the Katari twice this year and it exceeded my expectations both times. We were extremely happy - it’s great value for money for what you have available. The first time we stayed we had a larger apartment as there were more of us. The second time we had a smaller room because just 2 of us. You still get a fridge and a microwave. You still get the amazing breakfast. We had a mini balcony too. We stayed for a longer period of time in the bigger apartment and it was like having a base - a home from home. The second time was just one night, but we wish it was longer! Our host was Alex and we have never met a host anywhere more caring, sincere, amiable, dedicated, helpful and attentive than him! Alex should get an award for being such an awesome host!!!!!!!!

There is absolutely NOTHING that we did not like!!!!!!!

The property was exactly as shown in the photographs: it was clean and extremely comfortable - especially the beds. It was a brilliant place to stay for self catering as had everything you needed - but the bonus was that a very satisfying breakfast was brought to the room every morning. The breakfast included a menu with about 5 cooked options, plus it included yoghurt and fruit and bread, cake, cereal etc. The location is perfect - so much to do and see on the doorstep. Opposite is a theatre where you can watch traditional dances and music etc. There are also restaurants and markets and the walk to the main plaza de armas is around 10 minutes, 15 max. The apartment is very safe and secure and it’s warm. It is also very quiet! You have a TV in the bedroom, so you can play music etc. The rooms are cleaned for you. It’s like the same kind of service you’d get in a hotel. Bathroom spotlessly clean and hot showers. Alex our host was amazing! He is the most hospitable and helpful person you could ever meet. He has a sincere heart and wants to make your stay a perfect one! We loved staying at the Katari and Alex so much, that we came back for our last night after travelling around. Couldn’t recommend highly the Katari and Alex enough and it would be our 1st choice, when we come back again in the future! We are from the UK and it was my parent’s first time in Peru. They loved their stay here! We all slept really well - and I’ll say it again - the beds are so comfy!!!!

There is no lobby and you need to eat breakfast in your room, which is uncomfortable because the table is too small for 2 people.

our first room was facing the Main Street, it can get noisy. Alex was nice enough to put us to another room when we were back from Machu Pichu, which was very comfortable.

Check out at 9am is crazy early. No communal areas. Small bed and small room (not much space to open up luggage, stretch, etc).

A beautiful little room. Quality breakfast, hot showers, fridge, kettle, cutlery, Netflix, nice blanket/pillows, mini balcony, lots of charging points…we loved it.
