Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Germanyfrom our point of view absolutely overrated and we cannot explain why this place has 4 stars. breakfast is absolutely not tasty beside the fruits, the staff (especially of the restaurant) is unfriendly, for a simple sandwich it took 45 mins. and on a sunday morning there were big groups from outside in the garden from 8am - 1pm which were super noisy. and Despite asking the personal to ask them to be more quite they did nothing. it was impossible to relax, what we came for and they didn’t even mind. No recommendation!
2 hrs. later checkout without additional costs

BelgiumBed was a king size but something was wrong with it: every little move made the bed shake. Not what you expect when you pay extra for a larger bed. Worse than the bed, the food in the restaurant: way too expensive and not good quality. Only time we were sick in over 3 weeks in Peru.
Great location with great view. Also easy to get there by cab from downtown. Staff is friendly and helpfully. The structure is a bit dated but rooms are spacious and clean.

BrazilWe had dinner at the restaurant twice. First one was fine, but on the second day the food was clearly still frozen. I returned the main course, but I’m pretty sure they still charged me for it.
Clean and spacious room, and a good restaurant in a city where there is none.

FranceI would say this place is a little overpriced. Also the location is not great for access to restaurants. We ended up getting pizzas delivered. Finally, the alpacas don't look very happy...
The staff were very friendly and the rooms a good size. The view over the lake is amazing and the garden very nice.

ColombiaRoom was small. Despite the fact that in the web page it says that transport from Juliaca Airport to the hotel in Puno (1 hour by road) has an extra charge, but they can arrange it, when the request was sent, they responded that it would have no extra cost. To our surprise, they did not honor their message, this was our greeting for our first day. Activities in Puno start early. Second day, get up early in the morning, with a temperature of - 3ºC, and there is no running hot water. Just imagine a very cold shower. For both inconveniences, the management offered apologies, and for the hot shower, my wife was able to take one in an adjacent room. Service is SLOW, but that is common factor in Perú. For the third day of our stay, breakfast starts at 0500 AM, but the restaurant opened at 0506 AM, not that bad, but there was NO COFFEE, nor the accustomed bread offering, nor butter & jam. Coffee came in at 0520, bread at 0525, but our transport was to pick us up at 0530. Summing it up, every single day there was a disappointment and an inconvenience.
View from the room was very nice, overlooking Titicaca Lake.

United KingdomIt was cold, they would light the fireplace (2) in the lobby until May! There was heating in the room but not in the bathroom. When we arrived it took forever to heat up. They kept leaving the front doors open which made corridors and down to the dinning room. Okay outside during the day and under the sun.
staff was amazing, attentive and doing the outmost

United StatesThey charge you extra fee just because two of my family are not US resident. They are Peruvians residents and for that reason we had it to pay extra which is ridiculous. It doesn't make sense. You would assume a local would get a discount. Instead I'm forced to pay more. Next, there is virtually no hot water. You have to run the shower for 5 minutes before it even gets room temperature. There is no way to iron your clothes or microwave for the food.
I like the location. The hotel has a pretty view

United StatesNo elevator-sometimes it’s tough to go up the stairs when you are carrying stuff considering it’s an altitude of 3800 meters. It’s a bit secluded. To get to popular spots you will need a taxi.
The views and proximity to the Lake. The animals running around the backyard. Quiet and safe location. Very decent prices. Better food than most hotels in Puno. Very helpful staff.
