How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Poor Wifi connection. Need to upgrade as they are in 3 star hotel. Also no glass and water bottlw in the room including coffee.
Staff are all Friendly. If you ask something, they can manage to help you out.

Bathroom needs renovating. Was a bit noisy due to the location of the room we got.
Was able to do an early check-in.

The hotel is a sort of old and dark. Breakfast was just ok, but very limited.
Our room had jacuzzi, which is great for the price. Well located, center of miraflores. Smart Tv with netflix.

The breakfast I didn’t bother going to after the first day it was just awful. I would rather the hotel be cheaper and not include the breakfast. It just wasn’t worth it. The facilities were plastic and the water pressure wasn’t the best and it was extremely noisy. I could hear trolleys being moved up and down the car door at all hours and I could hear everything going on outside.
Listen, all I will say is I paid for what I got. The hotel staff were lovely, I have nothing to complain about when it comes to them. The location was fantastic in a safe place. They did have 24 hour security.  It doesn’t include air conditioning however, when I explain to the staff that I had a skin condition, they immediately brought fan to my room which was very nice of them..

Breakfast was very basic, only coffee, juice and toast with jam or marmalade. Cooked item was scrambled eggs with ham but was the same each day. Room was very cold as window didn't seal properly. Outdated decor. Noisy but can't be helped because of location.
Good size room, very clean and good facilities. Excellent location and felt very safe here. Staff were helpful booking us taxis and were accommodating to us checking in early.

The floor wasn’t clean and there was someone else’s hair in the bathroom.
This is a budget hotel in the Miraflores area and walking distance to a lot.

The floors weren’t clean and the shower had black mold growing in it. There was also someone’s hair on the bathroom floor.
The hotel is in Miraflores and easy walking distance to lots of restaurants and parks.

the shower didn’t have hot water and we didn’t notice until after the deadline to request a switch
we only stayed for a short time after our flight but the property was clean and bed was comfortable (firm)

The property locks the doors at night. When I came downstairs at 9a on a Sunday, the front door was locked and no one was at the front desk. There were people trying to get in and out and no staff responded. Seemed like a fire hazard.

1. The lack of options for Breakfast, basically is the same every day (Scramble eggs with cheese and jam, toast, and a hot beverage) and is not a Buffet! as mentioned in the description. 2. The facilities are not the best it seems under maintenance, the elevator is old. 3. The souvenirs like shampoo and soap don't have the best quality, soap is dry and the shower takes a couple of minutes to get hot water.
The location of the hotel is great, restaurants and bars are nearby as well as some tourist attractions. The staff is friendly and attentive. and the cleaning service is also good.

It is a bit difficult to air out the rooms properly, but it wasn’t that bad!
We were a bit sceptical because of the bad reviews, but we nothing to complain about. We even extended our stay from 3 to 6 nights. Breakfast ist simple but as it is a buffet, you’ll have enough! Rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff is caring.

I don’t like someone is checking on me and treating me like a crook
The word “hotel policy” means you gonna be impeded to leave the hotel until the reception send a cleaning woman to check your room if you haven’t broke something -Very very bad and poor breakfast - very very slow internet
