Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandYou may want to bring your own hair dryer with you, as there wasn't one in the room, but if you don't - it's not an issue as well, you can get it from the owners :).
First of all, they offered a transport from the airport which was very convenient. When it comes to the location, the hotel is located a bit away from the center but it's not an issue -20mins walk, 5mins by taxi and there are lots of local and good restaurants around, at the same time it's quiet. Both hotel and the room itself was very clean, the bed was so big and comfy, we loved it! But the best part is the owners - the nicest people, we felt taken care of each day. You can get a coca tea for free for the altitude, the breakfasts are prepared freshly and were so yummy! And when you're going for a trip early in the morning, they will provide you with a 'take-out box' with some fruits, snacks and water. If you have questions or needs, they will surely try to help. We would surely stay there again. PS. You need to wait a little bit for a hot water to come, but it's there! :)

United States22yom didn't like security measures of management locking and unlocking the front door for access, MOM DID like that security measure.
This family owned hotel feels quiet and secure, with 4 floors and an elevator on a residential street. It is also close to a main street for restaurants, street vendors, and shops via the stairs 500 feet away.

United StatesI didn't like having to leave this wonderful place and people...
As soon as we arrived, the owner was very aware of my wife's altitude sickness, and went above and beyond to make her comfortable. The empathy and compassion of him and his entire family, as well as the entire staff is self evident for our entire stay. We have nothing but love and gratitude for their help, and will return to visit our Peruvian family again. The food is amazing the juice is hand made, as is every food, everything was delicious. Everything is spotless, it's hard to watch everyone cook and clean and not help them.

United StatesThe elevator will not work when it is raining. But now worries, as if you will not be climbing a ton of stairs while in cusco, 4 stories worth won’t kill you!
It was clean, very clean. The staff was very attentive to all your needs. They gave me tons of pillows and extra blankets when cold, without asking. A family owned operation and they were always on call! I felt very secure and never had to worry about my safety or my property!! Liz and her father were amazing people with genuine concern for all their guests. Breakfast was always included, every morning. I had two channels on the tv in English, CNN world news and Cinemax, which was all I needed for the few hours of rest and relaxation in my room. The shower was completely new and clean with proper hot water and water pressure!! A must wherever i stay! It was a 10 minute walk to and from the main historic square, which is liked because i did not want to stay in the middle of all the action or busy car noise. It was typically a 7-10 soles taxi fare to and from the main center square when i was too tired to walk. Their rates on tours were amazingly cheap $12-$27 usd per person. I saw no need to book with anyone else!! I would definitely stay here again and I will definitely miss the family who ran this establishment. Such sweet and caring people! The person who cleaned my room was well deserving of the large tip I gave her, my room was always in order when I came back off a tour and she always had a smile on her face and was very trustworthy!

LatviaThe hotel location is a bit of a walk from the historical center, but it our opinion it brings more positives than negatives, because you don't get all the touristy buzz around you. And if you don't feel like walking for 15 minutes, Uber will get you there in no time.
Everything was perfect! We felt so welcome during our whole stay, whatever questions we had - we got answers, help and more right away. Everyone did everything in their power to make us feel at home. The rooms are nice and clean, the breakfast is great - tamales, omelette, fruits, cheese sandwiches... Just ask, like you'd do in your parents house. Checking out felt like saying goodbye to dear family. We are definitely coming back!

We had an amazing stay at Ureta Hotel, Victor and his family took such good care of us and went above and beyond. It was a quiet location, within easy walking distance of the centre of Cusco. A great place to settle for a couple of days whilst adjusting to the altitude and to get lots of recommendations.

United StatesOne advice piece for future guests: be mindful of the shower's temperature. The hot water can be a bit intense, with the cold water not quite balancing it out. I'm unsure if it was unique to my room or a more widespread issue. However, this small detail aside, my stay was satisfying.
I first learned about Ureta Hotel from the Two Soles Abroad channel on YouTube. Victor (the hotel wonder) and his team made me feel incredibly welcomed when I arrived. The hotel's offerings were thoughtfully chosen, from a complimentary airport shuttle to a diverse selection of teas and coca leaves, useful for those adjusting to the altitude. Living in Quito for a year gave me a head start there. The daily fresh towels and the consistently delicious breakfast were highlights of my stay—a special thanks to Liz and Rosa, who helped with my last-minute Machu Picchu plans.

Our host, Victor and his family treated us like their own family. They are super kind, very hospitable and did outside the box to make me and my fiance stay memorable. It was hard and sad when we had to check out. The room is spacious enough, clean, and in strategic location. I would recommend everyone who is planning to come to Cusco to stay at Ureta Hotel!

The sunshine warmed us as Victor, the owner, served us a mix of local foods. Heading out early for a tour? Victor will be up to make sure you are picked up for your tour and sends you off with a snack box. Victor and his staff are your extended family! They will look after your every need! United StatesThis is without a doubt the best hotel in Cusco! Not because it is luxurious or fancy, but because of the overall atmosphere. You will feel like visiting a family - the one you actually like. Victor, the owner, is an amazing person who makes you feel right at home. If you're not spoiled and arrogant, you might just make a friend for life. The price of the room is really good, and it comes with breakfast (and coffee 😃) and a free ride to and from the airport. The rooms are clean, and the beds are very comfortable. We were worried that we would get cold at night because Cusco can get chilly, but the rooms are very well isolated, and we didn't hear any noises from other rooms (even when the hotel was at full capacity). If you get cold at night, though, you can rent a heater for a few dollars a day. The showers have HOT water, and we've never run out. If you have an early morning, Victor will be up to make sure you have snacks ready for your trip. We got even luckier, and when we were going to Machu Picchu at 4am, Victor personally drove us to the train station. He has a heart of gold. Also, if you don't speak Spanish, make sure your phone's translator app is ready so you can communicate with Victor and everyone else in Cusco. You are in a different country, so don't expect locals to speak any other language than their own. When we go back to Cusco, we will definitely stay in Ureta, and we recommend this hotel to anyone.
