Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesMy only complaint is that this place was close to a dance club (or something similar). Music played late into the night making it hard to sleep.
This place was fantastic! Great staff, close to the city center, loved the breakfast, etc.

VietnamThe people at this place were absolutely incredible. From the moment we stepped in the door to check in we had everything that we needed. All of our questions answered (and there were lots of questions around yours what to do etc). The staff were so so informative with where to go how not to get into trouble pricing and much much more. They made this place as our first stop in Peru an incredible experience into the Peruvian people and how kind they are. The location of the hotel is perfect and close to everything that you will possibly need in Cusco. The rooms are comfortable and warm and quiet.

United Arab EmiratesMy room was a little noisy. Caused by a barber shop underneath which plays loud music. It closes around 9pm each night except on the weekend when it was open into the early hours. But overall I still enjoyed my stay
Amazing location, just 1 minute walk from the main square. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I booked a double room with balcony. The room was spacious, bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was powerful and well supplied with hot water. The breakfast is prepared quickly and you can enjoy it indoors or outdoors in the garden which I loved. I stayed for 5 nights and was extremely happy and thought it amazing value for money.

United StatesFriday and Saturday I could hear faint music late into the night from a neighboring establishment. The hotel provided earplugs, which was good, but I couldn't really use them because I was afraid I'd miss my alarm the next morning.
Great breakfast, location, value, comfort, cleanliness, and staff! They kept my luggage overnight while I went to visit Machu Picchu and helped me get a taxi to the airport.

GermanyVery friendly owners and staff were available at any time of the day, no matter when you start tours or transfers. The inner courtyard is beautiful. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit, fresh eggs with some fried vegetables, homemade juice and coffee. It was the best we got in Peru. A hairdryer to borrow is great with the cold temperatures in dry season. It is located in an old building with thick walls. So all you hear from other people is what gets through the windows and doors. There are wardrobes to unpack your bags and get them out of the way.

BulgariaA perfect spot in Cusco. Right in the center, but on a relatively quiet place. Wonderful, old colonial house. If you can get past some screeching floorboards, which is more than normal for such a preserved architectural jewel, you will enjoy your stay. The staff were great - very warm and helpful.

United StatesThe only downside is that the beds and pillows were a little harder than we had expected. The floor is also creaky, so it's easy to hear people walking outside
The staff were very accommodating and friendly, meeting us at the door at 5 AM and letting us check-in early. They also provided some great recommendations for travelling around the city and restaurants to eat at. They allowed us to pay with USD or PEN, and allowed us to keep our bags there while we visited Machu Picchu. The rooms are very clean with sockets right next to the beds. Their bathrooms are incredible with good hot water and facilities.

Yuliana at the reception is a superstar! She pretty much runs the place, she always has smile on her face is always responsive (whether I’m email or face to face)! Good breakfast and location. Free tea all day long….helps when you adjusting with the altitude.

United StatesThere were a few logistical misunderstandings but that happens sometimes. Nothing bad to say about the place.
The staff was amazing, Saul especially. Everyone is very helpful with finding tours, recommending restaurants, and making you as comfortable as possible. It's a quiet place, nice break from some of the party places I've been. Priced a bit higher than some alternatives, but very worth it. The beds, blankets, and showers were the best I've seen in a hostel.

this was my third stay in 3 weeks at Terra Sagrada. I keep coming back because of the super lovely staff, the nice courtyard and the location. I definitely recommend for a well location nice property.

FranceVery noisy despite the window insonorisation as the room was on the street side (many klaxons all night long) and strong noise of the crackling wooden floor from the room next door as if it was in our room from 5am in the morning. Small bathroom with curtains not covering all the shower so put water everywhere, very humid.
Great location 5 min away from Plaza des Armes. Beautiful colonial building with courtyard. Super friendly and helpful staff speaking English, who helped us to book taxis. Very large bedroom.

CanadaThe only negative was on Saturday night, there is a nearby club with loud music. Earplugs worked to still be able to sleep. No issue with noise any other night and I’m not sure this is a consistent issue.
The room and bed was massive, great for stretching out and getting a good night sleep. lots of room for luggage and storage. The best shower I had had all trip. Extremely clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They were very happy to hold onto our bags in a secure room while we did our hike to Machupicchu. Very close walk to Plaza de Armas, all the markets and all the nightlife in the surrounding area.

United StatesNeighbor building has music blasted until 3am, even weekdays. Rooms facing the road get a lot of street noise and exhaust fumes. No hot water on one day of our 5 night stay.
Beautiful building, comfortable beds, soft pillows (we have had mostly very hard in the rest of peru). Great, light breakfast. Easy to get to main square. Friendly and accommodating staff. Mostly hot showers with good pressure.
