Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt’s just as pictured. A tiny island that Cesar and his family built and also live on. You’ll stay in a huge, modern one room lodge. There is a giant super comfortable king size bed with plenty of blankets and pillows. I felt like I was being hugged all night- that’s how comfortable the bed was. There is an additional queen size bed by the window and one outside under a cute gazebo. There is a couch and a 2 seat dining area. ItThe bathroom is also so big. The toilet is comfy and clean- you just have to put some wood chips on top of the waste as it is a flushless toilet. But it was all easy and clean. It’s like glamping. Cesar’s wife made me dinner (trout or chicken) and a huge breakfast. Cesar brought everything over himself. And the sunset, stars and sunrise is just amazing. I’ve never seen so many stars I. It was amazing listening to ducks and birds flew in and out and around the water. Cesar and his wife and son are so kind and sweet. Cesar took me out on his reed boat and even took me to the local community to see a couple of islands and an opportunity to buy some crafts from local women.

The place was absolutely astonishing. If you are searching for quiet peacefull stay, you should book this Lodge! It is located aside from other Uros floating islands with a beautifull sunset view from your terrace. Caesar is a great host. He took amazing care of us. He took us from the port and did an excursion around Uros islands where we had a chance to visit once of the island and as well other one with flamingos and he explained us everything about locals and lifestyle. He also arranged taxi to take us back and we got as well some small present to remember this place. Dinner and breakfast prepared by his wife were delicious. If you wanna make Caesar happy, bring him as a gift a beer which he likes ;) and don’t forget to take as well something to his adorable kid. Thank you very much Caesar, you made our stay unforgetable!

United KingdomI loved my stay. It is very peaceful and quiet. Cesar is a very good host, and tries to make sure that you have everything you need. Always with a big smile on this face! The mattress is great. Breakfast has all you need and the coffee is also very good. The dinners are simple, but good. I had to work and there is good wifi - it doesn't state on booking.com that there is Wifi so wanted to mention it. Just two points to mention to not be surprised Dinners are not included in the price. Wasn't an issue for me, but it can be easily overlooked in the description and some other places are offering breakfast and dinner included in the price. Bathroom is obviously not like a bathroom in a normal house given this is a floating island. I know some people can be picky. It's the best of what is possible though. Very clean, hot water in the shower etc.

MexicoTry to avoid the rainy season as you have to travel in a small boat to get there.
This is an amazing place. Hosts are wonderful human beings. The view is spectacular. The peace and connection with nature is a total magical adventure. As a world traveler, this became one of my favorite spots from the beginning. No WiFi for me is a plus, as well as the dry bathroom. If you love peace and quiet in nature, this is definitely a place to visit.

United StatesThere are several piers, better confirm where to get on the boat. Not the main pier for sure, normally they will pick you up at a small one and that one is far from the main pier, we missed each other and wait for 1 hour for the boat.
If you want good photo, here is the place It is very quite and comfortable one or two days stay should be perfect. The family will cook for you, they have heater in the room, so no worry about the clod weather.

United KingdomNothing - everything was perfect.
We hade an amazing stay with Cesar and his lovely family. The location and property were outstanding and we were able to completely unwind and relax. Cesar could not have been more attentive and considerate, giving up his time to bring us out on the lake and to show us around the Uros islands as well as happily answering our many questions about his way of life. We had our meals cooked for us throughout our stay and the food was exceptional. We could not have been happier with everything about the stay and would love to return one day.

United StatesAbsolutely nothing--everything was just perfect, not a single complaint.
Where to begin? This was one of the best stays that I have had ANYWHERE. Cesar and his family will make you feel as part of the Uros family and culture, and it couldn't be in a better location. I didn't really know what to expect of staying on a "floating island," you know, how to get there, what to do, how all of this was going to work out. Cesar took care of it all, from picking me up from my PeruHop bus drop-off and taking me in his little motor skiff to his personal island, to going with me on an all-day excursion to show me his world, to organizing a trip to a nearby island, to arranging for my final transport to JUL airport. His wife, Mariela, is such an outstanding cook! Trout and chicken for dinner, amazing breakfasts, loving touches here and there. The accomodation in his one-room lodge (only one guest for the time being although he is thinking about building a second room) couldn't have been more spectacular, with a 180-degree view of the lake, a super comfortable bed (with three warm blankets plus a duvet!), a solar shower that always had hot water, and even hot water bottles at night to keep your toes toasty! Sit on the deck and watch the sunset; listen to the grebes and all the other waterfowl; or have his little son Dael come by and smile at you with the sweetest smile you have ever seen on a child's face! I spent two weeks in southern Peru and wrote four entries in my personal blog, and my three-night stay at Cesar's place took a central spot in my descriptions. Go stay with Cesar, as he will treat you with respect and friendship and you will leave with new friends on Lake Titicaca.

CanadaWe came to Uros islands to be as close and connected to Titicaca lake as possible and we got exactly that. The view is incredible, amazing, peaceful and the surrounding so quiet, you can only hear the birds and lake waves. Breakfast was delicious. The host, Cesar, is very welcoming and he took care of us from A to Z, making sure we were warm and comfortable (at night it gets pretty chilly - be prepared). We asked for a tour around the lake which was amazing and so relaxing. We hope to come back in the future (once the political / protests situation is more stable) and we will be recommending this accommodation to anyone traveling in that region. Absolutely worth it, don't stay in Puno, stay on the islands!

Ceaser and his wife were exceptional hosts, the location was incredible and he organised an amazing boat trip the day after we checked out and was waiting with all our luggage to take us back to the main land. They cooked us a lovely dinner and breakfast and even gave us all an amazing handmade gift on check out. The views were amazing if we could give 10 stars we could!

United KingdomA unique experience to sleep on a floating island. The location is stunning, probably one of the best in the Uros for sunset. Cesar and his family are extremely welcoming hosts, keen to share as much about the local culture while also making sure you enjoy your privacy. The food, hospitality and help finding our way there and onwards after leaving have made it our favourite experience in Peru so far. This lodge sits on its own, far from any neighbouring lodges, and this has a truly breathtaking effect. We had a really peaceful couple nights.

We booked a night in early July. It’s on a floating island of UROS community, near the end of the community, so it’s very quiet, an unique experience. Best night we ever had for years traveling. The host Cesar and his wife are wonderful. Cesar built this house himself!!! how cool is that!!! Amazing view and serenity with three-side glass windows around a spacious room. The deck equipped with chairs and a lovely canopy bed with comfortable bedding and white veil curtains all around. It is romantic beyond imagination. We stayed up late to watch the stars and Milky Way, listened to birds. Cesar’s wife cooked the dinner (extra charge but really worth it). For chilly night, Cesar tugged in hot water bottles for out feet, layers of warm, soft and thick blankets. very comfortable. the second day, after breakfast, we dressed in traditional clothes and Cesar row the reed gondola to show us around and explained how the reeds are used for building. He also took us around with his power boat later. Cesar took our luggages to our next hotel when we were exploring Amantani Island for 2 days excursion. Such a memorable stay! Thank you , Cesar and Marlary.

FranceNothing. But be prepared for a cold night as there is no proper heating (which is completely fine with all the blankets in the bed). Also, be prepared to go to the loo in a dry toilet (which is also completely fine and clean).
The location and views are really amazing. This lodge is a bit apart from the other ones, so it is very very calm. The host is also incredibly friendly.
