Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing to complain about! Just a heads up lunch and dinner are not included in the cost.
Couldn’t believe how amazing this place was when we arrived. The reviews on booking.com sold this place to us and it did not disappoint! Lovely homestay with Wilson and Lizbeth but also with a lot of privacy too as you have the whole room to yourself. We ended up extending by one night it was so gorgeous, and you can see the Milky Way at night!

GermanyThe hosts Wilson and Lisbeth were very kind. They offered us a shuttle to their island. We had very delicious lunch, dinner and breakfast. The view is stunning. The room was very large and we even had warm water in the shower. The dog Kira was very lovely. A really amazing experience. Wilson arranged a tour for us the next day and stored our luggage during that and brought it to our expedition boat at the end of our trip.

United KingdomThere was nothing that I did not like, our trip was amazing and I would really recommend everyone to stay with this beautiful family.
The host family were amazing and so friendly. They provided lots of blankets, heater and hot water bottles to help with the cold nights. The room was very cosy and beds were so comfy - almost better than my own bed at home. The outdoor area was the perfect set up for sunsets and sunrises with beds/hammocks/chairs and blankets. The families children are so calm and happy, along with their little puppy who was so excitable and adorable. The family provided us with every meal during our stay, there was a hot shower and towels provided. On our way to the lodge our host made small stops to talk about the structure and materials used for the floating islands and discussed the different islands. It felt more knowledgable than the tour we paid to go on of the islands. The hosts can also help you arrange any tours and at a very good price compared to online. Thank you so much to Wilson and his family and puppy.

And a special thanks to Lizabeth for arranging 2 amazing tours, at very short notice and in such a tight timeframe. and for Wilson taking us straightaway before check-in by speed boat to catch up with our tour ! Amazing lodge , very big, great views, great outdoor balconies over the water , and great, restaurant class food. Our hats off to our amazing hosts who treated us like family. ``

United KingdomWe loved it all.
We LOVED it here. Peaceful and serene. Fabulous scenery all around. Great organisation and communication via Booking.com messages and WhatsApp with regard to pick up, taxi arrangements, food and any questions. Lovely welcoming family who took us out fishing on their traditional, hand-made reed boat. They have built the island from reeds, the reed buildings on the island and the boat. The accommodation is perfect. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Cold at night so we had lots of blankets and a hot water bottle. Very cosy! We also used their kayaks and explored the nearby islands. Trips were on offer to neighbouring islands. Handicrafts were also on offer however we were at the end of our holiday with no more luggage space unfortunately! Save some space! Food was fantastic - some of the best food we had in Peru! Freshly prepared local cuisine and juices. So interesting and flavoursome. One of us is vegan and Lisbeth and Wilson catered for this effortlessly and with delicious meals. Thank you to Wilson and Lisbeth and your two children for making this such a perfect and relaxing finale to our amazing time in Peru. Wonderful people -happy and proud to share knowledge about their traditions and way of life with us without intruding on our space in any way. We stayed for 3 nights. Thank you!!

ItalyWe liked everything. Bear in mind that it gets really cold at night so be prepared with heavy clothes. The bed itself has six blankets + W&L will give you bowls of hot water to keep it warm. Don’t worry: you’ll enjoy this part of your stay as well!
Best night we had during our time in Peru. The view on the Titicaca at night and in the morning is unparalleled. Wilson and Lisbeth are a lovely couple who treated us like we were part of the family. Rich dinner and breakfast. The morning after we had to be at the port of Puno at 6:30. W&L took us to shore and arranged our ground transportation to the port. 10/10 would definitely recommend

UruguayNothing, it was all perfect. A must visit place
If you are in Puno, you need to stay in Uros Island. This is an amazing space to stay while experiencing Uros Floating Islands. We had the best time as the hosts were incredible and took care of our every need. The room is spacious with everything you need to enjoy for your stay. The location is great with water all around you and during the night you get this incredible view of the city and stars. The hosts were so kind and gave us water bags for the night as it gets very chilly. They have heaters but you can turn it on for a few hours for safety reasons, but you will have enough blankets to keep you warm. They even cooked us a three course meal for the night, and it was perfect to say the least. We also had to leave early in the morning, and the owners packed us an early breakfast and even dropped us to the shore without any additional charge. It will be one of our most memorable stays.

NetherlandsNothing. It was very cold when we were there (below freezing), but they have a space heater, a million thick blankets, a hot water bottle, and hot food, so we still loved it and were very well taken care of.
Absolutely gorgeous space with unforgettable views. Nice home-cooked meals, very comfortable bed, you can borrow a kayak, great guided tour to learn all about how this unique village works. We loved our time here and could have spent much more than one night. Very kind and helpful family. Highly recommend!

United KingdomLoo facilities basic - drop and sawdust but no problem for a couple of days and worth it for the experience. Wrap up warm as the location is very cold at night!!
Incredible location on an island and beautifully hosted by Wilson and Lisbeth. Very unique lodge with beautiful views and furnishings. Wilson organised a very early morning pick up from the overnight bus from Cusco. All meals included and were delicious. Lots of blankets to keep you cosy and heater in the room for evenings as temperature dropped. Enjoyed the board games and cards!

BelgiumNothing. Don't hesitate, just book!
Wilson and Lisbeth, ànd their adorable children, go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The transfer was perfect, the room huge, the views breathtaking, the blankets warm, the food plentiful and tasty! They have only 1 guestroom and are located on their own island, a bit further away from the rather touristy part of the lake, which is great. Thank you so much, we enjoyed it a lot!

FranceThe only slight drawback is that it is very cold and there is no heating in the night. However, the beds have many layers of sheets and the family provided us with rubber hot water bottles that provide enough heat when put under the blankets.
This overall experience at Jaltawi lodge is really wonderful. The lodge is very clean, the beds are comfy, the food is delicious and the views on the lake are amazing. Lisbeth and Wilson were really friendly and helpful with organizing our stay. They even arranged a slightly bigger boat for us to come since we were afraid to take the little boat in the night. Lisbeth’s brother gave us a tour around the Uros floating islands the next morning, which was so much better and more authentic than the tour we had with an agency. I highly recommend this place for the best Titicaca experience. :)

United Kingdomthe location is absolutely beautiful right on the lake. it was so relaxing being cut away from the world. Wilson showed us around the community and explained a lot about the way of life on the islands and taught us a few words in Aymara. we even got to kayak a bit. Lisbeth cooked us delicious meals. I’m vegetarian and that was no issue at all. we had to leave early to catch a flight and they even prepared us a take away breakfast, organised the transfer and Wilson got a boat for the transfer that had a roof so we were not cold. An absolutely amazing experience, so unique and Wilson and Lisbeth were lovely and so hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble.

SloveniaEverything was perfect!
The highlight of our trip to Puno/Titicaca lake was staying in this beautiful lodge. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else! Puno in itself is a busy city and I recommend everyone to rather stay at lake Titicaca and organize trips from there. This lodge was just perfect. The family was super welcoming and organized for us everything - from taxi at the bus station, to boat ride, to tour in Taquile. All at a reasonable price. The dinner was amazing and one of the most delicious meals we had in Peru! The beds are super comfy, we had many sheets to keep us warm, plus the lady of the house gave us a heating pad for the night. So cute :-) Don’t stay in Puno, stay here and let the family organize everything for you. The views are amazing and the room is huge, spotless clean and comfortable The family responds in a minute and are very trustworthy people! Stay here!!!
