Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PeruThe lodge is on a floating island with georgous scene of the lake. The room is big and outside there is a terrace where you can see the sunset. The location is quiet and peaceful, with a lot of little ducks and birds. The owner of the lodge, Julio, is a great host and also guide. The hotel fee includes 3 meals and tours, kayak, etc. Julio is also excellent as a local guide and told us a lot of history about Titicaca and the local life and culture. In summary, it's a great experience for a weekend to escape from the city and work, just feel the beautiful nature and enjoy a peaceful time.

Julio was a great host and his wife prepared very nice meals. Lodge is very comfortable with Western shower & toilette and looks like in the pictures. Location is great and views are spectacular. Highly recommended to stay at least 3 nights as Julio organizes tour around Uros with great history background and ride on a reed boat. You can also use kayaks on the premises. There are also great sun beds that you can use during the day when sun is quite strong. Trip to Taquile Island can be organised at the additional cost. Julio is originally from Uros, so by staying at his lodge you support original Uros society.

We had a fantastic stay at Titicaca Lodge despite suffering a little from Altitude sickness. The room was beautifully decorated and had an amazing view. Lots of thought about comfort with plenty of seating areas, blankets on the bed, fire etc! Plenty of activities to do should you wish with trip to the uros islands, kayaking, paddle boarding and Julio provided us with loads of information about the environment and area Julio and his wife really looked after us so well and went out of their way to be as helpful as possible. They organised oxygen for my youngest son who was feeling off colour, suggested electrolight for me which worked wonders, put on the generator so I could use a hairdryer after showering as it was cold, provided fantastic food and service. Really can not rate this place higher

United StatesNothing - everything was amazing. Please visit Puno and stay with Julio!
Absolutely amazing! Julio was an amazing host and tour guide. He picked us up from the dock and dropped us off himself. He and his wife live and work on the floating island and our available any time of day or night to assist you with whatever you need. The rooms were absolutely stunning with 360 degree views of the lake. Julio’s wife is also an outstanding cook whose dishes could rival those found in city restaurants. The rooms were so spacious and completely green/sustainable. From solar panels powering all electricity to dry toilets, no detail was missed in designing the rooms and island. It was a bit chilly when we went in November, but Julio had the fireplace running for us to keep the room nice and cozy. Julio was such a joy to be around. Even with the pandemic decimating tourism and his community, he remains positive and delivers 5 star service. Although we travelled all over Peru, this was without a doubt our favorite stop during our journey of Peru. Who better to support during this pandemic than a family owned and operated business that is also a protected, indigenous people? Julio spoke numerous languages and was able to give us outstanding tours in both English and Spanish. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! I highly recommend adding this lodge to your itinerary when visiting Peru. We did not find Puno itself to have much to see, just visit this lake! You can take an amazing l, scenic bus ride to Puno from Cusco and Julio will grab you from the dock himself. From there it’s 5 stars all the way with amazing views, tours, and food. This is a great place to disconnect and just relax. Wifi is available however if absolutely needed.

United StatesI wish we didn't have to leave!
This was such a magnificent trip and experience staying at Titicaca Lodge. Julio is one of the kindest people we have ever met, from the time we booked the stay throughout our entire time staying at the lodge he made sure that we were comfortable and taken care of. He went above and beyond in every aspect of our stay. The lodge is beautifully decorated and incredibly comfortable with plenty of blankets to stay warm the entire time. His wife Jhuliana is an incredible cook as well! We enjoyed everything that she made for us and appreciate the amount of effort that went in to treating us to every meal during our stay. This was such a relaxing and unique experience to stay at the lodge, one that I think everyone should be lucky enough to experience in their life! We are so thankful to the wonderful hosts, this is an experience we will remember fondly for the rest of our lives!

PeruWe traveled a lot, this lodge located in the middle of the lake Titicaca has all the details to be considered the best. The room are beautiful ,all of the windows face outwards, towards the west, and afford magnificent views. Our host Julio was amazing, he made sure every detail was perfect. He was patient, encouraging, joked with us, and taught us so much about culture, history, and language. We felt at home. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience.

PeruNothing, everything was perfect. Worth staying an additional day with no tours, just enjoying the place.
Excellence all around. Logistics worked like a clock: previous communications, reservations, tour arrangements, pickup in Puno, as well as at the end checkout, pickup and dropoff at the Puno hotel. Sanitizing standards were top level, far beyond what is offered in any good hotel. The hotel is striking, 5-star standard, and beautifully decorated with the finest taste. The food was excellent, peruvian taste with international quality. Best of all, Julio and Jhuliana, the best hosts ever, so kind and hospitable, and knowledgeable of the Uros history, geography, art, and everything there is to know about. I foresee they will be very successful providing top level accomodation and service to visitors from all over the world.
