There’s a 15-20 minute walk or a taxi for 8 soles to get to Huacachina (the hostel can call for you); the room was listed as air conditioned but only has a fan (you may need to cool off the room at night by opening doors/windows)

The hostel has very nice and colorful design; there is also an on-site bar and restaurant which had surprisingly good buffalo wings!; also the hostel is quieter

Hostel is a tiny bit outside Hauachina but you can easily walk or get a tuk tuk.

Great base to stay in while visiting Hauachina. The rooms were roomy, comfortable and very clean. The staff were lovely and let me stay after check out and use the pool area.

The toilet in our bedroom did not function properly, but that really presented no problem for us, as there were plenty of shared and really clean toilets that we could use.

The place itself is very cozy and charming, away from the buzz and parties of Huacachina. Perfect for those who want to be near Huacachina, but would like to have a good night sleep. There is also a good bar inside with an option to order food and the food is of high quality. The staff is very friendly. They allowed us to stay in the shared facilities even after our check out and have stored our luggage for us. All in all the experience brought a big smile on our faces.

So much effort has been put in by the staff to create a relaxing and fun place to stay close to Huacachina (less than a 5 min drive to it and Ica). The food was great, breakfast was made personally when you got up and the variety and quality of food available throughout the day was so good. Highly recommend.

Hostel is located outside of Huacachina town but it is only about a 15 mins walk or a 2 minute tuk-tuk which costs 4 soles each way. It would be ideal to have some sun loungers on the grass beside the pool.

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a lovely stay. The staff are super friendly. There is a lovely atmosphere about the place, with a refreshing swimming pool, nice chill out areas in the garden, and a funky bar. The food is decent. We had simple breakfast included which was coffee, juice, and eggs. Our room was nice (no AC but they provided a fan which helped with the heat).

In over 20 years of backpacking, this is by far in my top 3 of places I’ve stayed. Super friendly and amazing staff. It has a great atmosphere with a bar and a nice swimming pool yet respectful of people’s need for sleep. Everything is done with care and with a smile. Cannot recommend this place enough. 10/10

Great place to stay in huacachina. Away from the noisy party central of the oasis but only a 10 minute walk or so away. Cool building. Good food. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Lots of space to relax and a clean swimming pool.

The breakfast choices could be improved - just bread and eggs and if you don’t like eggs it’s not very filling.

The staff were really helpful! They recommended a restaurant on our first night which was so good. They also arrange all our tours for us and we thought they were great! We did the pisco sour tour and the sandboarding. The pool was great, the rooms were lovely, better than many hotel rooms we’ve stayed. The staff seemed like they couldn’t do enough even with a language barrier in some cases! We didn’t have any problems with noise at all either and we were in a room opposite the bar. Thank you!

The Upcycled Hostel is really value for money if you want to stay close to the oasis of Huacachina without spending too much money. The private rooms are relatively big, modern and clean. There is no AC in the room, but a goodworking and silent fan which was sufficient on a relatively hot day. The a la carte food in the little restaurant is also good and tasty. The staff is very friendly and helps with organizing activities and transport.

Great hotel in a good location, it’s a bit further out than in the main oasis itself but nice to be that little bit removed. It’s about a 15 min walk in the heat but can easily get a motortaxi or taxi for under £2 so worth doing! They do a lot of tours from the hostel, we did a sand buggy/boarding tour which is a must!

Only downside is that it’s a tiny bit out of town but taxis or tuktuks are super cheap and easy to get, and we walked into town in the daytime! Not a reason to not stay here

Our favourite hostel in all of Peru. Great pool, great food, great staff. Such a relaxing environment we extended our stay just to hang at the hostel (not much going on in Huacachina once you’ve done a sand dunes tour). Would happily stay again!

The staff went above and beyond for us! We arrived early and they prepared our room for us so we could check in, which was so nice after a long night bus! Only a 10 minute walk to the Oasis and close enough to party, but far enough away to sleep without noise 😊

This was the best hostel we stayed at within 6 weeks in Peru. The pool was clean, the breakfast was good, the room was spacious and clean, and the overall design of the hostel is super nice. We were welcomed warmly by the staff, and they actually remembered our names even though we only stayed one night.

This hostel is a little oasis in the middle of the desert. When you get in, you can feel yourself relaxing from the windy, sandy, loud Ica to arrive in a relaxing bubble. We booked a private room with our dog, and they were extremely nice to her the whole time – they also have a dog, Elio, who is an absolute sweetheart. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and nice, and they helped us multiple times to book cabs to get around town. The breakfast is prepared for you when you wake up, and everything was always fresh. On the day of our checkout, our bus was only late at night, and they were super friendly with us the whole day, letting us use the pool, shower and prepare ourselves for our long journey. They also have their own restaurant on site and offer a couple of vegetarian options, too, which were really tasty. I'd totally recommend staying there!

Coming back from Huacachina oasis at night requires a cab but at the same time, you also have everything there.

This has to be the best Hostel in Huacachina! We stayed for 8 days! The perfect blend of social, fun, and peaceful. The whole place is beautiful and so clean and comfortable. The food and drinks were perfect and you can easily grab a motor taxi to the lake town (5 mins) or to Ica (10-20 mins) for 5 soles. The staff were incredible!! They were so friendly and helpful and always gave a personal touch. Sadly my friend and I experienced a difficult life event (unrelated to the Hostel) during our stay and the staff went above and beyond to care for us and help us have a good time. Fast and reliable WIFI. I would definitely recommend and return.
