Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SlovakiaGetting to the floating island and back is not so easy, but Eddy arranged everything for us - taxi from Juliaca Airport and boat to the island (together 110soles for 2), so it was not a problem.
Sleeping on the floating island on the lake Titicaca was an amazing experience for us! All rooms have wonderful views over the Titicaca. We watched sunset from the bed on our terrace, it was absolutely amazing. Eddy and his family was perfect hosts and we enjoyed our stay a lot. They cooked very good dinner (10usd per person) and breakfast for us and we also had a lot of coca tea. We also had a tour around Uros islands (10 usd per person) with Eddy which was very interesting. He speaks good English what is not so common in South America.

United StatesAltitude sickness is a real thing. You are 12,000 feet high when you are in lake titicaca and we all experienced headache and discomfort. It does pass but it is a little rough around the edges trying to adapt.
From the minute you get off the boat you are surrounded with true indigenous culture and the purest love and happiness. This is a family owned business and they devoted their lives to this place and making it comfortable for guests. The food was awesome and super healthy. The day beds were amazing and the rooms were spacious. Thoroughly enjoyed this experience.

GermanyNothing!!!
Probably one of the greatest experiences on our trip to Peru: being picked up by Eddy at our arrival by night and driving by boat to the reed island watching the stars/the milky way over lake Titicaca. Eddy and his family were great hosts creating us some unforgettable memories and making it an extraordinary stay. They served really great and fresh local food (e.g. fresh ceviche of the trout that was fished by Eddys father in the morning) and did everything to make the stay as comfortable as possible (e.g. for the night we got hot water bottles for the bed as it is getting really cold by night). The room was really nice with a breath taking view out on the lake. During the day Eddy took us out on the lake to show us the Uros community and told us a lot about how they are living. All in all we loved our stay there and recommended it to all our friends and family to stay there if visiting lake Titicaca.

United StatesBeware there are no outlets, so bring external battery packs. They do have usb plugs.
The island is traditionally made. I loved my experience here. Eddy and his family are such kind souls. They welcomed us onto their island with our puppy. They are great with pets. I felt super comfortable in the room and the king size bed was a plus. We slept really well. The view is extraordinary. The stars at night are marvelous We went kayaking around the area, highly recommend you do to. It’s a great value for the experience. The food was delicious. Eddy gave us a tour around Uros. Overall a great experience, I look forward to returning.

FranceThe lodge is badly isolated and it’s cold at night
The place is absolutely fantastic. You wake up every morning and the first thing you see is the deep blue of the Titicaca Lake. The housekeeper is really nice and available. You have to pay 40 soles for a round trip to Puno, and the service is available almost all day. The breakfast is also nice.

Czech RepublicCompared to the rest of the references here, our experience was not 100%. There was no water in the shower (I mean neither cold). Also the communication with Eddie was not fully OK, we ask for arranging a trip for the morning but at the agreed time there was nobody at the island. In about half an hour Eddies wife come to the island and we started to search Eddie. After another hour she took us to other island to catch at least the second trip.
Beautiful atmosphere, quite comfortable stay taking into account the exotic location and unusual way of living there, perfect pick up, good food.

IrelandWe were very disappointed with the overall experience. All of the lodges offer the same view, so it is not enough to just rely on that fact alone when providing this experience. - The hosts were not friendly to us at all, we were dropped on the island and then could not find anyone for the next few hours, even to get some water. They barely spoke to us during our whole stay. - We booked a boat tour at 2pm, but at 4:30pm we still couldn't find anyone and in the end went for a small, barely 1 hour tour before the sunset, but we were charged the full price. - The dinner was well below average, with no local dishes or anything special, and was incredibly expensive (double the price to be found in Puno for a good meal) - There was a lot of hidden charges like the transfer to the lodge and drinking water, which seems unfair considering the isolated circumstances. - Heating in the rooms was advertised but it turns out we weren't allowed to use it. - The shower had no pressure, so while it was hot it was difficult to have a shower anyway. - Communication with the host was slow at times.
The experience to be on a floating island was incredible and the sunset views were unique and special.

SwitzerlandThe stay at Uros Aruntawi lodge was the highlight of my visit to Titicaca lake. The family is so nice and the place is so beautiful (especially the terrace) You can really feel how the life of Uros is and get close to the nature as much as possible which made the stay a very unique experience for me.
