Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaTruly an unforgettable and unique experience! Cesar and Lucy were so kind and thoughtful. Having the opportunity to learn about and experience the Uros islands in such an intimate way was remarkable! The views were gorgeous and the room and facilities were quite comfortable. I would love to return and will certainly recommend the lodge to all of my friends and family!

ChinaThe shower's water pressure was quite low, but considering the isolation of the location, it was understandable.
Cesar and Lucy were great hosts. Cesar gave us a very nice tour around his community and answered lots of our questions. He also took us to his son's school to pick him up. We saw how the elementary school was run in the community and got to meet the children and teachers, which was a very unique and memorable experience. Lucy fed us really well with different kinds of food, including trout, chicken and fruits. The view was amazing from our room. We saw some pink and purple thunderstorm at night. The bed was very comfortable with soft linens. It was cold at night and hot in the middle of the day, so prepare to wear layers. The room has a gas powered heater and thick blankets, which kept us warm at night. Instead of paying money to a tourist agency, we paid directly to the host. We were happy that we could support locals in this way, as their economy heavily relies on tourism.

United KingdomCesar and Lucy are fantastic hosts. At Uros Samarana Uta Lodge they provide an authentic and unique experience to get to know the Uros community and their way of living. They are very open to answer questions and to explain and describe their lives. The facilities are very good and the room are amazing, with great choice of design and most amazing views. They also provide hot water for showers and heating inside the lodge, which is great especially in cold winters. We definitely recommend going fishing with them as it is a unique experience!

CanadaThe best experience we had in Peru, everything was so beautiful and authentic. Cesar and Lucy are extraordinary hosts, they will strive to ensure that you have the best possible stay. The room was breathtaking as well as all the activities that went with it. We went fishing with them on the lake, a memorable memory, and they also took us to neighboring islands. We have learned a lot about their community and history. The meals, included, and prepared by Lucy were delicious. I recommend 1000 times and I hope we will have the chance to go back.

The best lodge, the best host in the world! I have been fascinated with the views of the sunset and its facilities, the room is beautiful with panoramic views of the lake and with beautiful decorations all on hand with hot water and heating and next to your private terrace; likewise the Uros is large and has ample to explore, but best of all was the exceptional service of Cesar, he was definitely born with the gift of service, and one can see and feel it. as the best host in the world!!! also one can stay in the best hotels but rarely can you feel at home and even more so have confidence in someone you have just met. In our stay we did all the activities Cesar shows you all his community the Uros, he explains you all the life and tradition and their culture also the traditional boat trips, canoes, activities Fishing, gathering reed plants, etc were all included, his wife Lucy cooks very tasty Thank you Cesar&Lucy for creating this paradise and for making us feel at home and family, I definitely recommend it ........ ask Cesar for wifi because the lodge has its own wifi!

CanadaCesar and Lucy were terrific hosts and offer a wonderful lodge and total Uros experience. Even before arrival, the quality of attention in organizing the boat pick-up was impressive. The boat ride itself was so relaxing and enjoyable. The lodge itself is just marvellous with spacious rooms, clean and very comfortable with fabulous views out into Lake Titicaca. The meals are nutritious and delicious, and if there are dietary issues, every effort is made to accommodate these. Most wonderful were the side trips, whether in the motorboat, the canoe, or the large raft, each of which offers a distinct experience. The Uros community is absolutely fascinating to learn about and Uros Samaraña is an ideal way to experience it.

United KingdomWe purchased a few things from the community, hand made items and a bottle of wine, the prices were extremely high compared to other items we have seen elsewhere. Would recommend bringing some extra snacks and maybe beer or wine as it's expensive when at Uros. Curtains are very thin so need an eye mask.
The host was lovely, sorted out transport from the bus station all the way there and back. Looked after us, we didn't need to do anything, food sorted, activities and tours sorted. Welcomed us into the community, it was a privilege to be there. The views from our room and our outside terrace with bed was stunning! It was also nice to eat dinner with the other guests and get to know them, there was a lovely group there. Accommodated vegetarian diet with variety for the couple of days we were there. Kept us very warm throughout our stay!

We only had one night to spend at Uros Semarana Uta Lodge and we regret it was only this much. It was an amazing time, Cesar is very friendly and very responsive. He arranged our pick up from the train station and took us with his boat from the taxi. He and Lucy prepared an amazing stay for us, the house is very clean and comfortable and the food was delicious. The next day we didn't have anything planned so Cesar took us to a tour around the islands, explained to us everything about their community, arranged for a totora boat trip and gave us an amazing time learning a lot of stuff. Him and Lucy are such warm and friendly persons, it was so nice to be guests in their home and we recommend to pass their door step and get to know them, you will have an amazing time.

United KingdomWe had the most incredible stay with Ceasar and his Family at Uros Samaraña Uta Lodge. From the moment we got picked up by Ceasar in his boat at a local port we were made to feel like part of the family. The room was beyond all expectations, a real sanctuary amongst the stunning landscape. As part of the booking we were able to join Ceasar's wife and son out on the water to fish for our lunch, and were also taken around the local islands to learn more about the community. I recommend anyone who is looking for an unforgettable homestay experience to stay here.

Astonished beautiful room on the lake. The room and scenery outside is beyond our expectation. And it's not cold at all at night due to there is a huge heater in the room. A good chance to stay with local people to see what their typical day like. The host Caser can speak in both English and Spanish.

GermanyThe lodge is a really nice experience that we would definitely recommend everybody, who comes to Puno. Cesar, the owner, and his family are great hosts and really care about you. The boattransfer from the harbor takes approximately 15-25 minutes depending on the water in the lake. The room is very nice and you have a phenomenal view over the lake through very large panoramic windows. In the night it can get very cold, but the room is equipped with a gas heater. You also get a warming bottle. Also the room where you get your meals is heated well. There you can also charge your electronic devices since there is no possibility in the room to do that. The meals prepared by Cesar and his wife are very comprehensive and tasty. You get fresh vegetables as well as fresh fish out of the lake. In the morning fresh fruits, coffee, tea, scrambled eggs, bread, cake and marmelade are offered. The real highlight is the trip with Cesar to an island of his community, where he describes in fluent English how the islands are built and how the Uros are living. Another great experience was the trip with Cesar to his fishnet and collecting the caught fish right out of the lake. Of course the price of the lodge is higher then for booking a hotel in Puno. But it is a really fair price for all the things you get (meals, transfer, tours on the lake, clean and cozy room etc.). Many thanks for Cesar and his family for having us. Good to know: Paying by credit card in the lodge is possible but in this case you have to pay a 5% provision.

AustraliaOur host Cesar was very friendly, helpful and did his best to cater to all our needs. Food was exceptional and the little side tours interesting. Others have commented on it being cold so we came well prepared. This wasn't necessary as the room was warm, plenty of blankets, hot water bottle and heater to keep warm. Would highly recommend this experience.

ItalyOur stay at Titicaca couldn’t have been more amazing than at Uros Samaraña Uta Lodge! Cesar and Lucy are lovely, passionate guest and definitely one of the highlights of our stay here. We loved to spend time with them introducing us to the Uros people and Titicaca life. The Lodge is so incredibile! On a floating island in the lake, facing the most romantic side of the laguna, such a luxury room with an incredibile deck, so warm in the frozen Titicaca nights, and the best food, prepared with love and care. You cannot miss to be here when in Puno. Recommended from the bottom of our heart.
