Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyWhat a magical place! What Ivan and his family have built is truly amazing: from the comfortable rooms with bio toilets and hot water shower, the super nice sun (and star gazing) decks with hammocks and sunbeds, to the spacious lobby and dining area. On top of that, Ivan and his family are super nice and attentive hosts, and listening to their stories was a true highlight of our stay. Please be aware that they’re literally sharing their home and their resources with you. A home that requires a lot of maintenance and constant care, and resources that are definitely not as easy to acquire as the centralized electricity and drinkable tap water that some of us are accustomed to. That deserves immense respect and consideration. This island is quite far from the more touristy part of the Puno side of the Titicaca lake (about 15 mins by boat). This means that you’ll really get to experience how these communities live, as well as the silence and beautiful nature around you. However, this also means that you have to come very well prepared and dress accordingly, as the boat ride will be chilly - although blankets are provided on the boat to keep you warm - but also breathtakingly beautiful. I have never written such a long review and there’s really so much more I would like to say about this magicalw place but if there is one thing I’d like all future visitors of Uros Titicaca Lodge to know is this: this i s their home, and their way of life, which they hold dear above all else. So be kind. And dress properly ;)

United KingdomI can't think of any.
I have a great experience at the Uros Titicaca Lodge. Starting from the ferry pick up, the view, our room, the meals, the host Ivan and family, and the day activity. Thank you.

CanadaNothing worth mentioning.
It's a once in a lifetime experience and if you go into it understanding that they're in a remote location with their own electricity generation, for example, you're in for a real treat. Also the WiFi isn't bad, considering where it is. There are restrictions on appliances which consume a lot of power and dry toilets because there's really no alternative but I honestly don't think that there's a better place to stay in the area. The views are incredible.

EstoniaEverything was really great.
It was away from the rest of the accommodations on Titicaca lake. Our purpose was to relax and we got it 100%. Staff was super caring, already from the time of booking, where they explained the facilities. Food was good as well!

This lodge is just perfect. For sure one of the best places in which we have ever stayed. The service that we received from Ivan was magnificent. He picked us at the shore of the lake and took us to the lodge. He was always ready to help us and do the different activities in the lake and Uros community with us. The facilities are very beautiful and everything was built by Ivan and his family. If you want a mesmerizing view of the lake, this is the best place to stay!!! WE TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!

Ivan and his family were extremely welcoming to their island. The room was extremely comfortable and the meals were tasty. we had three different types of activities available in case we were interested. Ivan was very attentive to make sure we were comfortable and we’re having a good time. this island is further away from the mainstream Uros hotels which was very relaxing.

BulgariaThe lodge is well into the lake meaning it's quiet and beautiful. You see and hear birds, waves, nature is all around you. Stunning views. The room was super clean, stylish, cosy, the food 5* incl local dishes. The best part - the hosts! Ivan and his family take care of every guest. He helped me with tours and transportation and shared so much about the life of the Uros people. Overall truly authentic and unique experience. Thank you, Ivan! Will come again...

NetherlandsUros Titicaca Lodge isn't just your normal hotel/lodge in scenic setting - it's an experience! We stayed for two nights, which included full board for two days and a number of activities to choose from including visiting the local community. Thanks to our host Ivan, we learned about the history of the Uros poeple, and how people have preserved their unique culture and lifestyle. The lodge itself is very comfortable - also in comparison with our homestays/lodges in the area. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the hosts take great care that guests feel warm and comfortable during the cold nights. The food was also delicious and very well prepared. I can only recommend spending a few days at this place if you are looking for a unique experience.

United StatesThere were only 2 downsides but they wouldnt stop me from staying there. The room is freezing at night. The provide a small heater and lots of blankets, but prepare to be cold. While we were there they were building 2 new rooms and some construction. Not a big deal just was mid build.
Great experience staying on the lake. The views from the room were amazing. The inside of the room was huge and actually much nicer than I expected. The food cooked by the family was all delicious.

QatarCome as a guest, leave as a friend. That's exactly about this place. My family and I we fall in love with this tiny cosy lodge and would love to return again. First of all - the people. It's heart and soul of the place. The island and the lodge belongs to a one family. Philipe and Ivan are very enthusiastic people, they both can be symbols of hospitality, friendship and support. We been treated like if we been guests of honor, or a family members. Even though that we are not that fluent in Spanish, we had no issues about communication. Secondly lodge itself - after we made a booking we recived all the details about our stay and about the facilities. We also checked the weather forecast and realised that we would stay on a lake. So we been prepared. But even though we hasa warm clothes the owners of the place provided us with a small heater to our room and hot water bottles to make our bed warm. They also have coffee/tea available 24/7 without any limitation. The lodge itself is cute and comfy, very well decorated and maintained. You have panaramic windows to sunset and sunrise side, each house separated from each other, so you can keep your privacy. The rooms have a deck to sit outside during the day or stargaze during the night. Hot shower, clean towels and bed linen, warm blankets are available. Absolutely no surprises or issues with all that. The food - home-style food prepared and served three times a day. We stayed for 2,5 days and never ever the food been repeated. The fish is absolutely amazing, don't know how they cooked it, but even my kids ate everything. The nature - there is not enough words to describe how beautiful this place is. This place is must visit, definitely. But please keep in mind that you "go to the wild nature" it's beautiful, but can be a bit cold, so please, get ready.

This was a once in a lifetime experience. We experienced the lifestyle of a kind wonderful Uros family. We are so glad we chose this floating island and family. It’s an experience we would not have gotten anywhere else. The food was amazing. The house was beautiful and amazing. The host took us on his Reed boat around the lake and fishing. We threw out the net one day and went back the next to collect the fish that was caught. He took us around to different floating islands. The highlight was going to the primary school to pick up the grandkids. We were so well received by the children with hugs. That was so sweet. The only regret is not staying longer. We stayed 2 nights and one full day and a half. That was too short. We requested a personal car to pick us up from the airport. It’s about a 1 1/2 hour drive to the harbor where the host family picked us up on his boat. Took about 30 minutes to get to their floating island. It was late by the time we arrived and they had a lovely dinner ready for us. The host explained the history of the generations and the lifestyle. I hope one day to go back.

Ivan is super hospitable, kind, and went above and beyond to suit out needs. The 3 meals never repeat - they are super delicious! About the lodge itself, it’s the only lodge away from the touristy lodge area. Very peaceful and calm. If you don’t want to pull up the window curtain and see a group of fellow tourists/lodges nearby, then pick this one! You will only see ducks, birds, enjoying the nature. And you can still be taken to the touristy lodge area to visit the neighborhood. Overall, suitable for travelers if you want to chill, relax, really take time to learn Uros’s way of living. Not quite suitable for travelers who runs short on time and wants to pack Uros experience in a 3 hour or day trip visit.
