Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe had no complaints. Life on a floating island means that your showers, though hot, must be short, and that you have composting toilets, which were no problem at all.
Eduardo and Gloria were excellent, knowledgeable hosts. Eduardo picked us up in his motor boat and took us wherever we needed to go. Gloria’s breakfasts and dinners were superb. Before our must-see tour of Taquile Island, Eduardo stopped at another island for a gratuitous tour and explanation of his culture and its development of reed boats and floating islands (see photo).

United KingdomThe setting is idyllic, self sufficient - the sunsets are to die for. The family who invite you into their home (Eduardo and Gloria) were so welcoming, caring and met all my needs. I have no hesitation in recommending this as a place to rest and relax.

GermanyOf our entire 3-week trip in Peru, the 2-day stay at this lodge was one of the highlights. Eduardo and Gloria are wonderful hosts. They provide you with enough privacy, but if you feel like talking and engaging in conversation, they are patient and accommodating. The food (3 meals a day) was absolutely delicious (Gloria is a skilled chef). The room was clean, beautifully decorated, and cozy. Outside, there were loungers and a veranda bed for added relaxation. The lodge is situated far away from the other reed islands, making it pleasantly quiet with only the sounds of birds chirping and a gentle breeze. It's a place for absolute relaxation. Compared to other lodges, you have hot water for showers, which is important on the cold nights of Lake Titicaca. However, the lodge provides a heater and four blankets. They also offer hot water bottles, so we were never cold. There are various activities available, including kayaking, a small tour of the community, a ride on a reed boat, and much more. During these activities, Eduardo provides detailed insights into the history and UROS culture. We would 100% recommend this lodge, and if we didn't live so far away, we would come back. Thank you, Eduardo and Gloria.

United KingdomI can't think of anything!
Highly recommend this place!! Communication was amazing. The room was absolutely amazing. Edward and Gloria were the most accommodating hosts, they thought of everything and the food was delicious - 2/3 courses each meal! There's a separate dining building that you have your meals served in. You have your own table and privacy, like a restaurant. The rooms were clean and carefully decorated. The beds were really comfy. We had fun on the canoes exploring and Edward took us out on the reed boat and gave us an explanation about the islands. We spent two nights, which was perfect, which we mostly spent relaxing and looking at the gorgeous view. There was a generator in the room so we could charge our phones. I loved not having WiFi. There was also a heater in the room to keep us toasty. The loos are compost loos (non flushing), so be warned, but they were very clean and easy to use. The shower was lovely and hot and very modern. They also organised a transfer from the airport for us and also into the centre of town on check out.

Our room was very comfortable and clean , the beds were soft and comfy. United StatesIt's the most expensive stay we've had in Peru, which makes sense given you're paying for the experience. I just wish the experience was a little more like a homestay and interactive with the family than hotel atay, but this is just personal preference and I would definitely recommend friends and family to visit Uros and stay here.
Eduardo and Gloria are wonderful hosts and have a really great setup on their island - from my view on the boat riding by it looked clearly to be the best of all of the floating islands. The rooms are very nice with comfy beds and incredible views. We loved the swinging bed on our patio outside for watching the beautiful sunsets.

FranceI would like to recommend this hotel, especially for those who are hesitating to live on the Uros islands. This is truly once in a lifetime experience. Eduardo and Gloria are amazing hosts, everything is made with a lot of attention to the details. Our stay was very comfortable, we had everything we needed ( heating, hot water, blankets, etc) The home made breakfast and dinner were delicious. Eduardo has even made for us a boat tour to admire the sunset, that was really spectacular, the lake Titikaka and the sunset. The people that have chosen a standard hotel in Puno instead of a lodge on the Uros islands have lost a lot of memorable moments !

United Arab EmiratesWhere do we start. Eduardo and Gloria's island is located away from the busy part of Uros offering a relaxing stay with spectacular views. Eduardo went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, Gloria made sure we have the freshest and most delicious meals. The room has an amazing view of the sunset and the most comfortable and warm beds. Eduardo took us on his Reed boat to catch the sunset from the lake. I couldn't recommend this place more!
