How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Second time here, AWESOME HOST! He runs the place with a lot of care and really pays close attention to help. Comfortable clean beds and bedding, hot shower, good breakfast, cute cats too! Will definitely come back whenever I pass Puno again. Next time I wouldn't be bringing a body weight of luggage tho lol.

Suggestion: if possible, be good to add a main access door between the dorm and the bathrooms, to improve soundproofing/lightproofing. Or maybe to reconfigure the bathrooms.
5 min walk from the main plaza. Host is really kind and helpful, always very accommodating with everything (breakfast, tours, taxi etc). Dorm is very spacious and comfortable, modern style. Warm showers. Last but not least: as there was a bed available, the host let me in my dorm & bed at 6am after coming to Puno by night bus, free of charge. Even provided me breakfast on that day! Great stay overall, ended up extending by one night.

The breakfast could have some fruits or maybe eggs as well
It's a lovely place to stay. You feel immediately connected with all the other travellers which are starting there. The WiFi works great and you can use the kitchen in the dorm. The host is super friendly and helpful. Nice place

The beds were super comfortable. I like that they provided female dorms. Giovani was so helpful and nice. He helped me book my tours. The breakfast was simple but nice.

The owner of the hostel is great, super helpful! Also, the mattress at this hostel are amazing!! Slept soo well there. The 8 person dorm room is very spacious and has got everything you need. Really enjoyed my stay here and i would love to come back!

No well Partitions.in accomodation. Living room,bunk beds,and kitchen without partitions cause noises to the guests .
Great great great Great at the warm host Giovanni,who welcomed us in front of the hostel when our transfer bus arrived in the early morning at 5am. He also prepared a light breakfast for us with free of charge. When we were waiting for the late tour transfer to the Titicaca Lakes at 8am,he accompanied with us and made phone calls all the time..He is always kindness. Great at the clean place which is tidy and comfortable. Great at the lovely two cats who always came close to us. What a wonderful experience.Strongly recommender.

The host is adorable, he works all alone to manage the whole thing, it's impressive really! Also, the bread for breakfast was fresh, which is better than any hotel/hostels I rested in during my trip in Peru !

I've had a really nice stay at this hostel! The host is very nice and helpful. The room is clean and the beds are nice. I booked a Titicaca tour via the hoster and it was really nice and good value for money! Recommend!

Nothing at all.
The hostel’s owner was very kind and helpful. The facilities and breakfast are good for the price paid. Clean and comfortable beds. Quiet place. What I liked the most is the hostel offers only female share rooms at no extra charge. I think that’s very thoughtful and fair. There are two lovely cats at the property :)

Solar hot water. So it was cold showets. Only place in peru ive seen heaters used and needed it. No heat here.
The host was fantastic ! I did like the setup of the dorm room. And this place has that chill vibe. You want to relax? Do it here. Even with the 2 negatives , I'd still recommend this place.

Not finding it till I had spent 3 nights in Hell!!
The Host bent over backwards for everyone!! The place was small but only a few beds so lots of space..it was a good design and modern...

Host Giovanni went out of his way to be helpful and even upgraded me to an ensuite double room at no extra charge! Bed was warm and comfortable. Bathroom was large and airy. Value for money was excellent - Giovanni even offers a simple breakfast of fresh bread with butter and jam, tea/coffee and fresh papaya juice at no extra charge. Free tea and coffee available all day also. Kitchen with cooker, microwave, kettle atc clean and very useful. The room I stayed in couldve done with a clean but as it was a last minute thing and no extra charge i cant complain.

I had a great stay at the Urpi Wasi. Giovanni is a great host, he did everything possible to make the stay as nice as can be. The beds are really comfortable, the whole place was very clean and welcoming. There was a nice atmosphere among all the people staying there.

Arrived early morning after night bus and was able to check in. Even got upgraded to a private room. Giovanni is a very kind and caring host. The place is comfortable, clean and an easy walk to the centre. Would definitely stay again and recommend!
