Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BarbadosGood afternoon We booked at this hotel, my credit card was not charged at booking, when we arrived we paid cash as we were 3 individual ladies, each paid their own portion. Today I noticed that my credit card has been debited the full amount again. I am requesting that this payment is reversed back to my credit card. I wait on your soonest response, not sure where else to do this complaint, I hope it gets sorted. I have copied and paste it below the email from my bank....... Scotiabank Hi POLYANA, There was an authorization for $100.46 BBD at IZI*HOTEL VIRREYNAL on your Scotiabank Credit Card ***7751 at 05:17 pm AST. If you didn’t do this, call the number on the back of your card.

CroatiaThe owner! From the moment we stepped in the hotel that woman was trying to charge us everything. She charged 15 USD to give us 2 single beds instead of one double. Ok.. then when I gave her 20, she didn't even bother to give me back the rest. You are allowed to have only one coffee for breakfast or they charge you extra. On the morning of check out she literally entered our room while I was inside taking shower. And while checking out she told us the towels were dirty and she needs to charge us for that... Pity, the hotel is cute, could be cleaner but the owner's attitude is unacceptable.

CanadaThe room was extremely loud. (You could hear every convo from the lobby. Room was on second floor). The front desk reps didn’t speak much English, but they did try their best. I mention this because they offer airport transfer. We asked to pre-pay and book, but it did not go as smoothly as one would want. Give yourself extra time for delays and keep your receipt.
The location is really good for PeruHop customers. It is also close to the bus for the walking tour departure.

Chinafirst day have breakfast, second day told me, not have breakfast service, so in future 3 days I did not go to breakfast anymore. other staff look I own them 10000bucks, can not feeling warm from them. room service need to request in advance, and not means u can get for sure, 2 days can get room clean 1 time....

PeruThe staff’s treatment. Awful, just disgraceful from the start. We ask him to give us the best room available, he gave us the worst. There wasn’t toilet paper, the bath tub was dirty, no curtains at the shower, who knows if the sheets were clean…. At breakfast, we came down to the tables and practically begged to be attended. After a while he asked us “coffee or tea”, then waited more and the coffee never arrived. We left, as he told us “you can leave the keys at the entrance”. Dogs are treated better than that

At night the have cold water and none turn the hot water on. The owner was nasty and rude with us. The place was very dirty and nothing was working there. The owner in the morning show up almost with out clothing. Horrible place and experience with them.

IsraelThis hotel seemed like a good budget option but don't fall for it! This was the worst accommodation experience I have had in years. Room was damp and dingy and there was mold on the walls. We opened the window to air out the room a bit but the window oversees what I think is the kitchen so the smell of frying forced us to close the windows. Small bed, small room. Electricity went out on the day we left in the whole hotel so we couldn't charge our devices before the flight. Hotel overcharged us and wouldn't return the money. They actually blamed me for complaining because it was just 10 dollars.

PeruWe had a horrible experience in this hotel, the staff kept asking for a tip, which was very disrespectful. Later, when we checked out, we were charged a $30 dollar fine for a small dirt on the bed sheets, which makes no sense. We were also told that if we don't give a bad review, we will be charged "only" a 20-dollar fine. WiFi kept disconnecting

DenmarkUnfortunately we had an awful experience with this hotel. I highly recommend that you find another hotel, and let this one go. The rooms are old and outdated, dirty and very noisy. You can hear the conversations of people outside. The tv doesn’t work, the fridge is really noisy. The shower was the only thing that works. When we arrived we had to pay 6 dollars extra per night as a “service charge”. This is where I should have left, but I decided to pay it anyways. I was in the room for 15 minutes waiting for my friend. When she arrived she wasn’t allowed to enter the hotel, because she didn’t bring the right ID. The owner was very rude and impolite, even aggressive, and would not help us. We didn’t want any trouble, so I kindly asked for the money back, so we could go find another place. At this point I had not even used the room and had payed just 15 minutes earlier. However, the owner would not give us any money back, she was clearly very angry for no apparent reason. She then proceeded to ignore us, but not even looking at me, and then leave the building. We didn’t know what to do, in the end we were let into the room after she left, by the kind young staff. As mentioned, the room was terrible, we stayed a few hours and then left to find another place. Probably my worst hotel experience ever…
