Rooms have some holes in the wooden walls, so the mosquitoes could enter easily. Use a repellent at night!

Nothing that I haven't already mentioned.

We liked the first room we had, which was a room in the big building, not the dark chalets. The a/c room we had was super clean and comfortable and had a nice balcony overlooking the river. Our second room was a dark wooden room which was nice and big with a big patio out front, but all the dark rooms are magnets for mosquitoes. So the light rooms in the big building are better imho. The staff was friendly and helped us with the room change, especially Stick. You can book day trips through the hotel and their restaurant El Faro is quite good.

food was great, room was great, the staff left a nice decoration on both beds with roses to wish my mom a happy birthday with a heart and writing out te amo mama in rose petals and leaving flowers in a vase along with a birthday card on the desk and they also upgraded our room for free as well!! the view from the balcony was immaculate, the ac was wonderful in the room and the showers were great with very very warm/hot water!! I would find ants sometimes behind the shelves, and a spider on the ceiling, but the room was very clean and that is to be expected - these are lodges in the middle of the rainforest on the river!! the location of this property is also perfect walking distance to literally anything you could need, tours, food, convenience stores, snacks, drinks, bars, anything really!

Could not darken the very large windows, so we were up with the dawn.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had to change rooms when a/c broke. I left behind a couple things and when the cleaning staff found them it was returned to me. I appreciated that very much!

The electrical plugs in the room were in very bad condition and it was literally not possible to plug - in.

This lodge is really nice. Perfectly located, near to the jungle and near to the city center. Staff was friendly and helpfull. Our room was clean and comfy with gorgeous view. to the river. If you are lucky, you can see the sloths from your balcony :).

No breakfast included for room price where most other hotels offer something. Room had hairs from last guest in shower upon arrival.

The Pool was nice with a waterfall and bar and not crowded. The grounds were tropical and lush with birds. The room was air conditioned but it was hardly keeping it cool since there were not enough drapes to cover the sun drenched windows and the drapes were not sun blocking. Nina the tour coordinator/operator onsite was excellent and friendly. It was the first time we did the Ayahuasca tour and we paid to have Nina translate from the Shaman. It was a worthwhile experience and worth the expense as it was a private ceremony for the two of us. It was definitely the highlight of our time in Puerto Maldonado,

No hot water in the sink, though the shower was fine. Bathroom and furnishings showed their age, but nothing that the other features didn't make up for.

Charming place nestled in a patch of forest above the river, with steps and boardwalks leading through it. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and even went out of their way to help us find some of the resident sloths in the trees. Our room, in the larger building rather than one of the bungalows, was large and had an air conditioner and a great view.
