Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWhile the internet was adequate it did run slowly or cut out altogether at times. That usually could be fixed by moving out of the room and closer to the router
Lucie and Phillipe were very welcoming and went out of their way to help us figure out tours, book a car and find our way around. Google Translate was helpful with translation. The grounds and buildings are exceptionally lovely and we enjoyed the natural setting. The breakfast was delicious and good value for money. The rooms are beautifully appointed with many unique touches. The air conditioning worked very well. Being able to use the kitchen was an extra benefit. Phillipe was so kind and drove us to get take out dinner one night.

United StatesEverything! This is one of the best places we've ever stayed! It's tucked away in a beautiful setting, the attention to detail is exceptional, from the room decor to the bathroom soaps to breakfast of fresh fruit, breads and cheeses. Our host and hostess were kind, friendly and thoughtful. Truly a wonderful place!

United KingdomThe road to the property is pretty bumpy, and we drove it a few times, but even with 6 people and a bootload of food we were able to get down it with no issues at all.
Lucie and Phillipe were fantastic hosts - friendly and welcoming, with great ideas on what was going on in the local area. The property is in a fantastic, hidden location; you're in the middle of nature here. Each room is well-equipped, with all amenities you would expect. This is a slice of paradise. We were able to use the barbeque and move some furniture to accommodate all of our party, all with the blessings of the lovely hosts. We would have loved to have stayed longer, and we hope to return. Merci beaucoup, Lucie and Phillipe!

United StatesMy time at Haere Mai I Te Fare in Moorea was amazing! The owners were super friendly and made us feel at home. They served yummy French-style breakfasts every morning with lots of tasty choices. The cabins were really clean and cozy, with cool air conditioning and a nice porch to relax on. Plus, the owners helped us rent a car for a great price, which made exploring the island easy. I definitely recommend staying at Haere Mai I Te Fare for a fantastic experience on the beautiful island of Moorea.

New ZealandJust be aware of the road going to the accommodation. If you have a rental car just take it slowly and all is well
The hosts are so kind & helpful! We didn't speak French but we managed through Google translate. Beautiful location inland. Loved the bathroom. Very clean, breakfast was lovely and Lucie did our washing for us as well. Would definitely come back!

Australiafew short power outages due to A/C use at night..sorted out). Aware that there are two large dogs (well behaved) but few stray dogs on walk up to guest house from main road. Accessibiliry without car was bit of an issue (bikes for use to get to public beach would be better... good idea, the walk to Sofitel is 1/2 hr).
The property is lovely, room and amenities were great . Host was helpful, didn't speak English, but with Google translate, all was very good stay.

India* Access to the property could be better * There could be more plug points in the property * Wifi can be made more reliable * More food options at the restaurant
* Friendly and professional staff. Louis was fantastic. He showed great empathy on a day when everything was closed and helped put together a meal for the family. He is a patient listener and tries his best to address your problems. * A rustic environment brings you closer to nature. I loved the wood theme in the dwelling as well as in the common areas like dining. * Convenient access from the ferry station

United StatesThe linguistic gap with some staff members occasionally posed a challenge in cultivating deeper bonds... I should learn French!
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. We even spent New Year's Eve with them :) Our spacious and well-appointed room, with comfy beds, was a perfect haven for our family of four, including a baby. Mauruuru for the wonderful time we spent at Haere Mai I Te Fare!

RomaniaWhen it comes to travel, the misconception that luxurious destinations only offer high-priced accommodations often prevails. However, our experience at "Haere Mai | Te Fare" in Moorea shattered this notion. Opting for their "Family Bungalow" with two double beds and one single bed, a private bathroom, and a delightful balcony, we found a perfect blend of comfort and affordability at $135/night, with an additional $15 per person for a scrumptious breakfast. 💼💤 It's worth noting that payments are accepted only in local currency, and cards, Euros, or Dollars are not accommodated. 💳🚫💶💵 What truly set the ambiance apart was the captivating presence of a grand rubber tree at the heart of the property, coupled with Polynesian decor that adorned the entire space. The owners, exceptionally warm and attentive, ensured all our needs were met with enthusiasm. 🌳🎨🛌 However, accessing the location requires a rental car or at least a scooter, as it's a 5-minute drive from the main road, conveniently close to both the ferry terminal and the airport. Additionally, the Sofitel Hotel nearby offers a tempting day pass for exploration. 🚗🏍️🏨 I wholeheartedly recommend "Haere Mai | Te Fare" to fellow travelers heading to Moorea. For a better deal, consider reaching out to them directly. Our delightful stay was a testament to the charm of local hospitality and the hidden gems waiting to be discovered. 🌺🌴✨

They invited me to join in on group meals and made an effort to talk with me using Google translate since I speak English and they speak French. They cleaned my room in the middle of my 8 day stay which was really nice. I liked that my room felt private while still allowing me to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

United StatesThe host was great. Instead of the beach resort this small hotel was situated in the forest of the island. It was not fancy. Which lend to its charm. Had access to the kitchen. The road into the hotel is dirt and at first is not easy to spot. But going up the road added to the adventure.

United StatesWe used google translate to communicate, which worked out. I would just want guests who don't speak French to know that it will be helpful to learn some common words or have a translation app handy.
Breakfast was delicious! Try to be there for the Sunday breakfast if you can. Lucie, Philipe and Louie were very accommodating and generous, offering snacks and coffee/ tea outside of the organized breakfast time. The property was very beautifully decorated and had lovely details, down to the terrace railing. It was rustic but also very clean with strong and beautifully designed infrastructure. Despite the language barrier, Philipe and Lucie helped me to arrange a rental car and helped me a lot in trying to fix and eventually replace my broken phone.
