Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLittle. Maybe more choice of beers. Probably not suited for those who wish to be entertained or find pulsating nightlife!
Your own small private island with only 5-6 cabins, excellent service and food, and access to complimentary canoes, snorkels, and SUPs. The spacious cabins are beautiful with direct access to the sea, stylish design with comfy bed, and fully equipped. Although you have to eat and drink at the site restaurant - or swim several miles - this is not an issue due to the talented chef. From the island, it is possible to see various marine life including manta rays.

United StatesIt’s prefect.
This tiny island is a piece of heaven. The locations, the amenities and staff are the best there is. Food is Michelin star level made by a local chef. The excursions are also highly recommended and run by fantastic staff.

United StatesThe only thing that was less than ideal was no air conditioning but I wouldn’t change it as I loved that the island was powered by solar energy completely.
The staff was excellent, especially Maxine. He anticipated our every need. The setting was stunning and had a wonderful room, especially enjoyed the hammock room. The food and cocktails were delicious and felt like it was made just for us. They use triple filtered water and solar energy only. They organized a beautiful open air massage and body scrub for me.

AustraliaI would have preferred to have my breakfast delivered to my bungalow rather than eat it at the communal dining room . there were only 2 out of 5 tables that had good views of the water. I think they should have had coffee machines in the rooms like Nespresso to have a decent coffee. The food was mediocre and you had to wait for ages as the food is done in sittings so everyone is served together with the same meal. there are a max of 5 tables.
the location of the island is unique and has spectacular views.Arriving there is something incredible. every day a different vista as the fish swim past .The manager is very attentive to any of your needs and very helpful. The bungalow is great and I loved the hammock room. The excursion offered to the nearby island of Tahaa by the resort looked worth investing in . Unfortunately we didn't do it as we had time restrictions but from the other guests it looked incredible. I would also bring some wine to have in your room for later.

The location. Tiny motu surrounded by absolute blue. Was perfect for 2 days stay. Maybe too remote if you stay more (and you are not a couple)

GermanyUnfortunately, before our stay, the hotel changed its heating system and we had to shower cold 3 out of 4 times as the warm water system didn’t work. The food is imposed and we expected to have more fish dishes but ate meat 2 out of 3 days. The reef is nice but very shallow, sometimes it’s difficult to snorkel or you would need to go further away from the island.
The hotel and its location are amazing. The staff is really nice. The bungalows are huge and exceeded our expectation. Extremely comfy beds. From the terrace you felt as if you are in an overwater bungalow.

ItalyDue to the fact that is on a Motu (island) and the closest location is 20 min by boat, I think that is impossible to sell the room without the half board packages. This rate should be included when you reserve because you do not have actually have choices unless you want stay without meals.
Very private location that should be sold as an experience rather than a simple hotel stay. There are 5 rooms on the island and you are far from everything. Private reef, where you can swim alone with fishes. Dinner and lunch looks like eating in a family house than a hotel chain. Really cozy atmosphere and good dishes. Breakfast amazing. Intimacy is guaranteed on this places and for less Than big hotel chain you can really live a dream.

United StatesThe obligatory half board was very expensive and in our opinion it did not reflect the food quantity, quality. The first night we waited a whole hour to be served. There seemed to be one staff to cook for 13 people. The kayaks and paddle boards need upgrading. Everything else was outstanding. We loved our stay. We know there was a change of ownership and the new team are improving the place.
Location is absolutely outstanding. close to the barrier reef for incredible coral garden snorkeling full of fishes. Cabins were very private and spacious. Direct access to water. Able to see sunrise and sunset from the motu (island). they had kayaks and other water gear available at no charge. Maxime, who is in charge was very attentive.

United StatesThis was by far one of the best places my family has ever stayed in our life! The island was just beautiful! Max was extremely helpful and making sure that we all had what we needed. The food was great. The colors of the water around the island were breathtaking. We were able to snorkel right outside our room and see colorful fish and even some reef sharks. Truly an amazing memory that we will never forget our time there. Such a beautiful island!!

SwitzerlandNo complaints at all. The place is perfect!
The EDEN Private Island is simply stunning! Located on a remote Motu, very private and relaxing. Maxime and his team are very discreet and attentive. Our bungalow was spacious, clean and offered everything you could wish for: a fantastic terrasse with view to Bora Bora (magnificent sunsets!), a hammock in the shade (very cosy!), bathroom, living room, bedroom with a comfortable bed. You can borrow kayaks, stand-up paddle boards and snorkeling gear for free and explore the surroundings. The hotel‘s restaurant offers a la carte lunch and a daily surprise dinner. We really enjoyed the food. Note: dinner is fish-based by default, but you can ask for alternatives if you don‘t eat fish. I usually don‘t eat fish voluntarily but gave it a try at EDEN, and I really enjoyed it. :) We definitely want to come back here. EDEN was the biggest positive surprise during our 5-weeks tour through French Polynesia. The place is ultra relaxing. I recommend 3 or 4 night here if you have the chance.

United StatesThe only negative we experienced was the structure of the excursions offered. The website did not give details on what was available. We had presumed that we could sign up for only the excursions that were of interest to us. When we arrived it was revealed to us that all of the excursions had to be done in one day as it was difficult to arrange for multiple boat trips for 2 people. Since we were unable to participate in all of the days excursion choices, particularly the snorkeling, but were expected to pay full price, we felt it was not worth it. We were told that the new owners would be updating the website to include the breakdown of the excursions pricing so that it will help future guests make better decisions on what they choose do while staying there.
The bungalow was clean and nicely furnished. The bed was comfortable with soft linens. The water pressure was good even though the temperature control was uneven. This did not bother us. The Moto was well maintained and beautiful. We enjoyed having free use of the kayaks every day. The food was very good. The staff was friendly and warm.

United KingdomSpent 3 nights at this beautiful place. It really is spectacular. Manu and Marine are fantastic as are their team. The food was divine, rooms very comfortable and to sleep listening to the sounds of the waves in the distance. Kayaked over to the uninhabited island, used the paddle boards, snorkelled and also did the day trip to Taha'a to take in the pearl factory, distillery, vanilla plantation and snorkelling in the coral gardens as well as lunch on another island. Most people seemed to do 2-3 nights. In hindsight, I really wish we had done 4 or 5. The feel reminded me of the Maldives of the 80s and 90s but with the added bonus of gastronomic food and hot showers.

What an amazing experience! Our own cozy tahitian bungalow on a private motu, in a gorgeous lagoon, right by the coral reef, with sunrises and sunsets that blew our minds. We will long remember swimming with baby reef sharks and kayaking between 2 reefs... Our hosts Marine and Emmanuel made everything perfect including delicious, healthy meals.
