Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing! We loved our stay!
Our stay was great at Manaeva Lodge with Reva - she was a really attentive host offering us fruit and juice after our evening flight - just what we needed! She was great at picking us up and dropping us off at the airport, it’s a great location for this, but would also be great for exploring more of Tahiti too. The rooms were immaculate, beds comfortable, air con a great bonus!

United StatesSince the lodge was up a hill just outside of town, there were barking dogs a good bit of the night. That was my only complaint about the whole experience. This is not a negative, but there was no office where our bungalow was located, and since we didn't have a vehicle, we were essentially unable to leave until our ride to the cruise terminal showed up.
Reva, who had been responsive to my emails and questions, picked us up at the airport late one night and immediately put leis around our necks! She also arranged a ride to the cruise terminal for us, and was willing to arrange other things at our request. We were presented with necklaces when we departed as well. The bungalow was very nice, with air conditioning and little touches like a fruit plate, drinks in the refrigerator, and some other food items. There was a swimming pool for our room, which was awesome.

Fabulously clean property that felt like heaven after a long ferry ride. The host has thought of everything in this lodge; the bathroom, the kitchen, and, the bedroom are very well equipped with everything you need. I cannot speak more highly of our experience with the host. We were meet with a plate of fresh Tahitian fruit and a bottle of clean filtered water; provided a free airport drop off at 2am; and, the host returned to the airport at 3am after I left my phone behind in the car. Amazing service! My family are returning to Tahiti in September and I have already rebooked our stay at Manaeva Lodge. Highly recommend

CanadaThis is a little far from any facilities or town but very close to the airport. Very convenient if using this as a quick stop before heading out to the other islands.
Reva was very warm and welcoming. She came to pick us up from the airport. The room was basic and very clean. Great AC.

SwitzerlandOur host Reva was very accommodating and helpful. We booked a room for the night flying in from New Zealand before continuing on to another island the next day. When our flight got cancelled and we got moved to an overnight flight arriving about 9 hours later than planned at 6:30 AM, Reva was nevertheless there to pick us up at the airport and let us use the room during the morning to get some much-needed rest. We highly appreciated this exemplary level of hospitality!

LithuaniaAll was good. Will stay next time if we have a chance to visit FP again.
Reva is amazing. She helped us a lot with logistics of our travel. She is like your good relative on a Tahiti island. Very convinient that they take you from and to the airport, also she brought her rental car directly to the airport with ferry tickets to Moorea and without additional paperwork let us go because we were in hurry for the last ferry that day. It's like: here here, luggage, jump in, go go go. Reva, thank you for the trust. We stayed 3 times for one night with her and even though its not a luxury of the hi end Bora Bora or other resorts, it's specifically unique and amazing place to stay once you arrive to or before you leave FP. Besides very good value.

Wow first the hostess and her entire family were so nice. The room (cottage) was beyond perfect. The food was delicious. They offered to pick us up at the airport at no charge and it was really early in the morning. Her sister gave us an entire tour of Tahiti. We were greeted with Leis flower and a plate of delicious food. The AC worked great and the hot water worked very well

United KingdomIt was some distance away from amenities.
I didn’t have breakfast probably because I had to leave really early. 6.40am Reva was amazing in that she picked me up from the airport and gave me a lift back early morning. In the evening her husband dropped me off at a restaurant then Reva brought me back. Taxis in Tahiti are really expensive so this was fantastic!

AustraliaNothing, it was perfect.
The place was perfectly clean, comfortable and quiet. We stayed in another part of the lodge, but was exactly as expected if not better. We chose this area as a one night option close to the airport. The owner also organised a tour for us which was excellent, and pick up from the ferry, a trip to the supermarket and then a lift to the airport. In reality it was a sort of one stop shop for everything we needed in Papeete. It may not be the Hilton, but I think much better value for money.

United StatesReva was so very accommodating in giving us a ride to and from our tours and airport. The lodge is up in a very nice neighborhood, but I would recommend a car or cycle to be able to get around so as not to impact the owners.
Reva and her husband were excellent hosts. The room was spacious, very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and served outside in their lovely garden. We had use of the kitchen and the washer and dryer rack. It was a very enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend this lodge.

United StatesThere is nothing we didn't like about the lodge, but it is a bit far from groceries and shopping if you don't have a car.
We loved the quiet vibe of the lodge. We had a room with private bath, comfy bed, and a/c, along with a beautiful garden. The shared kitchen was steps away and we mostly had the place to ourselves. It was very clean and there was everything we needed to have a nice breakfast and to enjoy our take-away dinner. The hosts are warm and friendly but you have lots of privacy as they are upstairs. There were some mosquitos, but that's everywhere in the rainy season. Our host came to pick us up from the ferry terminal (with leis!) and presented us with a delicious fruit platter and juice. They loaned us a very reasonably priced car so that we could tour the island. They also took us to the airport when our stay was over. Very kind and helpful hosts, they made our visit so pleasant.

A car rental is available at the property and is very convenient!
