Great location, walkable to nearby town with supermarket and restaurant options. Owner was very friendly and accommodating. We loved the fresh bread delivered each morning for breakfast. She picked us and dropped us off at the airport. We rented a scooter from the property which was perfect to explore the island. Air con works well. Would highly recommend this place, excellent value for money.

Great location, close to the village and beautiful beach. Nearby there is an agency where you can book excursions! Very friendly staff, the transfer to the airport and pick up is included! On arrival there is homemade lemonade, jam and butter and on departure they offer the flower necklace! Every morning there is a fresh bread waiting for you on your terrace! Absolutely amazing place!

The main sliding door lock was very difficult to lock/unlock, so we used the rear door instead.

Staff picked us up at the ferry and drove us to the property. The rooms were large and had a kitchen area and air conditioning. We were greeted with delicious lemonade and there was bread and jams provided for breakfast. Good wi-fi and I loved the orchids growing along the walkway. We were able to rent a car at the property. It is within walking distance of town and there is a beach-area nearby with great snorkeling.

The room was nice, and spacious with air conditioning. There was a great patio to sit and relax on. The kitchen was easy to cook in. The bathroom was nice. Overall I would definitely stay here in Huahine. It is a great value for your money.

I can honestly say that our first real contact with French Polynesia was in Huahine and it was perfect. The young lady Hina picked us up and took us to Huahine airport. Mister. Ropati Tinau, the manager of the Fare Ara guesthouse proved to be an excellent, benevolent and very knowledgeable host. I was able to rent a small new car directly from him, at a very competitive price, with which I drove around the small island (approx. 64 km) in one day. We had fresh bread every morning and the possibility to make tea or coffee and to use the fridge to keep cold water or food bought in the center of Fare village, a 10-minute walk from the Fare Ara guesthouse. Our bath towels were changed whenever we requested it. Internet worked well in our room.

The location was great, in walking / cycling distance to restaurants which is important on Huahine if you don’t have a car. There is a great snorkelling sport in walking distance, right off the point. Being able to rent bikes was a plus and we cycles to the Sofitel Coral Gardens to snorkel twice. We loved the simple baguette, butter, jam breakfast. Owner and staff are super friendly and you can tell that they about the property and guests.

Nothing I can think of.

The room was spacious and no complaints about.the bathroom. There is a small deck with a table/2 chairs and you look out on a huge lush hill with a rock outcrop and hear birds. Breakfast is a baguette which is delivered to the table on the deck around 6am. There is butter and jam in the frig and you can boil water for coffee or tea. There is a microwave. There is a TV that has Netflix. Ropati Tinau is the owner and he will help you if asked to arrange a tour.. He also rents cars/motorcycles. He is very approachable/friendly as is his 2 staff. The pension is about a 15 minute walk from the main area of the village. There is a supermarket, food stalls, dive shop, Yacht Club that has excellent fish starting at 6pm very reasonable prices. They can drive you back. Details at the bar. There is a small beach beyond the Yacht Club. Upon arriving/departure transportation is included. Payment for stay is cash only.

Quiet, relaxing place with all the amenities we needed. The host was great to organise a rental car, restaurant booking and local advice. The aircon was also very helpful!

I liked the simple convenience of staying here.

Quiet and away from the roadside, close to a public beach for snorkelling. Breakfast included, 2 restaurants nearby. Being able to cook for ourselves and having our ‘own place’ to look after. Orchid gardens. Walkable to town.

the best fare we stayed in our vacation. the owner went to pick us up at the airport and on the way to the house, showed us all the places (pharmacy, ATM, nice restaurants). we were received with the BEST lemonade of my life (no joke!). you have to go there and try yourself. the place was extremely clean, the kitchen have everything you need, Wi-Fi 10/10. we regretted we did not stay more days in Huahine; such an amazing place and the Fare Ara made everything perfect. I am missing the homemade banana jam that they offer for breakfast and the nice people from this place <3 the place is located close to the city center (1km) and one of the restaurants in the city (with nice happy hour drinks!) offers free transfer at night!

We enjoyed everything

Great place! The owner and all the staff are so helpful. He came to pick us up at the airport and showed us around, giving us the best info on how to get around the island. The place looks nice, breakfast is fine(fresh baguette and homemade jams), the location is perfect (close to the main supermarket and to the yacht club, a great place to have drinks and get dinner).

Plastic cover of mattress Hot water and new pad for washing the dishes would be helpfull. Now we used hot water from water cooker. Possibility to open windows without getting insects in would be nice. Two normal reading lights . Led spots in kitchen instead of the rather cool light of the tube, Wifi weak at certain times. Was the limited availability of hot water in the shower an incident ?

Basic apartment but all works and is clean. Stove, water cooker, micro wave and toaster provided. Comfortable bed. Free Airport shuttle service Friendly owner, providing a lot of usefull information. Car rental option Perfect and quiet airco, if needed. Plus fan Practical little town Fare with sufficient food options, a beach, supermarket and the yacht club etc Terrace fine.

Some very small issues with a few ants in the unit but that has to be expected in Huahine!

The owner was so nice. He picked us at the airport and showed us everything in the village - where to find the necessary stuff. Everybody was very helpful and nice. There was possibility to rent the car right at the place. The room was well equipped with all needed. Every morning we got fresh bread.

The beds had a plastic covering that was a little bit uncomfortable. Also, the rooms were close together so you can kind of hear your neighbors if they are loud, but nothing to complain too much about!

The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. The bread delivered in the morning with homemade jam was so lovely! Additionally, it was great that the property had an option to rent scooters, cars, or bikes.

Our host Tinau was extremely kind and helpful. He was available all the time and gave us good advice. He picked us up at the airport, gave us bread daily, fruit....The room was spacious and comfortable. There was a little patio in front of it. There is a beach close to the property and town is only 1 km away, so easy to walk to. We rented bicycles and a scooter directly from Tinau which was convenient. Overall we had an excellent stay at Pension Fare Ara Huahine.
