Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandFloor boards in our room was not leveled properly and we felt like it was weak when walking on it.
Location was great, 5-10min walk from Papeete centre. Quiet area and the hotel has a great coffee/cafe 5mins away. Great free wifi access, air con and bathroom facilities was good. We rate it fair value of what you’d pay in Tahiti.

The hotel is in a good location and is perfect for those who have to make a stopover for a cruise because it is very close to the port. A 5-minute walk you can reach the center of papeete with restaurants and the famous city market. We chose it as a stop for travel from Thaithi

New ZealandThe room was completely adequate for what we were after having arrived so late at night. It was a bit noisy but being in the centre of town that is not unexpected.
The location and rate were excellent, quite close to the ferry terminal and easy walk to markets. We arrived very late at night and checked in the the night watchman and chexkin was quick and easy.

United StatesIt needed a little love shown to it! It was very run down, with dark hallways and stairwells with random swinging doors so it was a bit uncomfortable to find our room. There were holes in the walls in our room and the Wi-Fi was challenging it kept dropping us off. The bathroom in the lobby was not cared for or maintained. It had broken toilet and no toilet paper, but as soon as I asked for some the friendly girl at the desk gave me some.
It was a fairly close to the Ferry, The parking was included and convenient. The staff checking us in were very friendly, the lite breakfast was good, but the man running it was very watchful and it was a bit uncomfortable. The room had a little fridge and water boiler which were very helpful. The air conditioning was nice once it got cool! The bed was fine. The Wi-Fi in the lobby was helpful.

New ZealandThere could be a lounge on the ground floor. As it is, the lounge is part of the reception area and when the hotel is fully booked as it was during my stay, there is really nowhere to sit.
The surroundings were too urban and there wasn't any real place to hang out. Good thing is there is a food card right next door giving good food at reasonable prices. Whilst central to town, and the ferry terminal is barely ten minutes away, the walk into town is not over pleasant. The staff at reception are the best things about the hotel. They are very friendly and helpful and sweet.

New ZealandThe lighting was a bit too low to comfortably read by and the hallways were dark.
The room was large and well equipped. The shower was particularly nice with a large shower head, a second wand and lots of hot water. There was a desk with well placed outlets to plug in watches, phones, computers etc. Comfortable king sized bed with a lovely outlook onto the mountains. Very comfortable seating.

New ZealandWe had a late night arrival and the afterhours check-in didn't really tell us anything. We missed our included breakfast because we assumed it would run until later.
Great price for the facilities, wifi was great and seemed to be unlimited. Comfortable bed. It was what you would expect for 3 stars. Easy walk to the centre of Papeete
