Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe loved everything.
What a wonderful stay. We were so lucky to grab a room at this villa. The hosts were so kind and attentive, happy to help in every way. The villa itself is simply splendid, from sunrise to sundown. We had everything we could ever need: hot coffee from 6am with baguette, butter and jam by the pool. Kayaks we could borrow for free and take to the sea straight from the villa's back door to the beach! a fully equipped communal kitchen and rest area by the pool. We could even do laundry! 2 convenience stores a short ride away, and close to plage des Tipaniers. Dont hesitate to book.

United StatesRoom is small with very large bed, so no indoor seating, but it helps that there is large outdoor space by deck and pool. Smoking is permitted on outdoor decks, so it's luck who the other occupants are.
The managers are wonderful; friendly, caring, great attention to detail, will do their best to make your stay pleasant. Speak French and some English. Large deck with tables right on the ocean, pool. Communal kitchen is well-stocked. Very clean and well-maintained. Walking distance to a few stores and restaurants. Free use of kayak.

CanadaWe had to make an international call to ask if we were in the right spot. There is no signage on the gate and there's a pin pad with code (they do send it in their welcome email but we couldn't open it without wifi, so screen shoot it prior). Any signage would be better as you come off the main road and towards the gate to let you know you're entering the proper area.
Beautiful property. Individual rooms (4 in total) with private bathrooms in each. Common areas include the separate kitchen, pool and outdoor seating area. AC worked great, they placed baguettes every morning with butter and jam, the pool was kept clean and the hosts were outstanding. A car is highly recommended to get around the island.

United StatesBe more clear about the location of the facilities. It is hard to find the location, although host was quick to reply to my email that I was lost.
Overall, the value of the cost of the location and what you receive for benefits is worth it.

United StatesEverything was perfect the only thing that would make it even better would be to have bicycles available if you don't have other transportation.
Wonderful place with 2 separate bedrooms on either side of the main house with a private entrance for each! Nice pool and deck with lounge chairs and eating area right on the water. The shared kitchen who you share with the other guests works great to cook your own meals and has some condiments to use which was nice. In the mornings we always had a yummy breakfast surprise! Outside lounge area is also great. Room was very nice and clean. We really enjoyed using the kayaks daily especially in the morning and afternoon. Paola the mom of Vairea (who owns the place) was wonderful and we were so glad to have met her. She was so kind and helpful. We absolutely would recommend staying there and hope to stay there again. Having a rental car or scooter would be nice but you can walk to a small store nearby. If you do rent a car they will deliver it to you.

RomaniaNothing, just keep in mind you need a Rental car in order to go around.
Firstly, I wanna say a big Thank you to our host that helped us with everything: rent a car, airport transportation, restaurant bookings etc ! The villa is facing the ocean, has a beautiful pool and sun loungers area. You have access to a shared kitchen and an outside dining area. We used the kayaks daily and saw beautiful corals and colorful fish in front of the villa. The room was super clean and we had everything we needed. They offer great value for money, especially considering we are talking about French Polynesia. We even got all sort of morning treats (donuts, croissants, pancakes) even though they don’t offer breakfast on site. Thank you again, totally recommend if you need a base to explore for a longer stay on the Island.

We saw whales from the deck! On a private (gated) road so very peaceful and safe. Kayaks available to use. Clean, modern facilities and host was very friendly and helpful. We loved it! Beautiful place, very clean, very nice room and bathroom, from the terrace you can sometimes see whales coming by, market 300m away, best mango - right from their tree, you can park car inside the yard, wifi available, and the heousekeepers are just wonderful, super nice, always helpful, nothing is problem I was a bit worried for location, if it would be a problem for tours, but we did 3 tours with Viator, and visited Tiki Village, and they all picked us up at the market or at Tender dock (also 300m) - so dont worry for this just text them where you are and the Tour will pick you up Definitely recommend, if one day ill return to Moorea Im staying at this place :)

MaltaThe location is around 40 minutes from the ferry terminal so you would need a car to get there and to get around (but you can park this inside the property which is a bonus). No restaurants in the direct vicinity either so again a car is needed.
EVERYTHING! My goodness, this property not only looks as per the photos on booking.com, it's so much more. The owners have really invested their time in making the villa beautiful and homely. I cannot recommend it enough. Firstly the room - I had the room on the right as you enter the property. You have your own entrance and key. You enter a small hallway that opens out into a spacious room with a HUGE bed (could comfortably fit 3 people!), a decent amount of storage space and beautiful decor to make you feel at home rather than in a guest house of hotel. The bathroom is well decorated and the shower is very spacious with little touches such as room spray added. The balcony doors lead out to a private outside area with a few steps leading up to the pool and decking area. Three sunbeds lookout onto the sea. The property is directly on the sea and has kayaks you can simply carry literally 3m to the sea and go for spectacular sunset kayak. Across the deckling is the outbuilding which houses the communal kitchen (the property only has 2 rooms to rent out so the kitchen is shared between max 4 people. It is super well equipped and this is where breakfast is laid out each morning - bread, jams, cheese, pastries and help yourself to cook the eggs + tea & coffee.

United KingdomWifi was an issue in our room. It was fine in the outdoor kitchen space but not strong enough in our room.
The house sits along the shore in a quiet community, and the room was pretty much brand new and in excellent condition. The en-suite bathroom was nice and clean. Gated parking is a plus, as well as having own private entrance to go in and out as we please. Everything was comfortable and we liked that there is a common kitchen area to cook, eat meals overlooking the water, a pool, washing machine, etc. Jean-Claude was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable. The plates of fresh mango, pineapple and local jams each morning were fantastic! The family was responsive and very kind.
