Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe shower and bath were faulty. Construction work on the bar which we were not informed of. Not easy to get out of the hotel so something to consider if you want to wander out for dinner etc.
Stunning pool and scenery! We were two of four people in the hotel and the staff were very attentive! If you want an escape from everything it’s a good a place! We had the bungalow which was a nice bit of extra space!

United StatesThe check in process after hours! there is none. The location was difficult for even the local driver to find. The road is such bad shape the driver had to drop us off and we had to carry our bags up the dirt rocky road to the resort. The location demands an off road vehilce to get there and it is quite a distance to the town or beaches.
Very nice building and grounds. Room was nice and clean. Food was very good.

PolandThe water was cold and the water pressure very low I couldn’t wash my hair because of that. Additionally the food was very expensive and the first night we ordered chicken dish and it was cold and hard to cut. The meal was small and we were hungry that night. The next day the food was better. Apart from that we asked to drop us off at el Nido terminal bus at 3 o’clock. The man was waiting for us and he was very nice. But when I asked him how much to pay for the ride he said 500 pesos. Although I knew it supposed to be for free he said so and we paid him. It was very unfair and I would say he used us. I don’t feel good about it. I think it is very unprofessional to behave like this. If you offer ride for free do it instead of taking monkey. I guess his boss doesn’t know about it.
The view was amazing

SpainFood is ok with improvements to make, they will get there as staff is amazing. I think what’s really necessary is to offer service water to the guests to avoid plastic bottles as much as possible. The message about shuttle costs should be evident on the booking page so people are clear about it since the beginning. Also they have a weird playlist of 10 edm and pop songs that they blast all day in their resto-bar swimming pool. We’ve asked them to put the volume lower to have breakfast which staff was attentive enough to the same the next day. What I meant here is to maybe create different playlists depending the time of the day to create a mood, you don’t want the same music in the morning and whilst the happy hours.
Property is on the top of the hill which gives you the view and solitude, I specially loved that there’s only 5 rooms so 90% of the times, it’s all private to us. The finishings of the resort gives that luxurious feeling. Staff were AMAZING, they go beyond their duties, always with a smile on their face and tried to help us more than onces (we were injured in a previous island), they even offered to help me do my luggage which I think is super sweet. They also ask you for breakfast options the day before to have it ready when you tell them to. I think service wise/staff they are 13/10

United StatesThere are a couple of things that I need to mention here. Since the location of this property is about a 20 minute drive from town there isn’t anything around it, which we knew going in. The road to access the property is very steep and in bad condition, which requires a 4x4 to traverse it (also something we were aware of). The resort likes to nickel and dime you for everything as well. We arrived a few hours early to the property, and they asked me to pay 1200 php to check in early even though the room was already cleaned, and unoccupied at our time of arrival. They also offer to book island tours for you and offer several options just like every where else around the town of El Nido. That being said the resort tried to charge us nearly double what you would pay in town to book the same tour, so needless to say we went with another option in town. The transportation they provide is over priced and not always readily available, depending on how many people are staying at the resort at any given time. We spent a majority of our time in the town of El Nido because that’s where all the action is. The resort more or less has a curfew set for 10pm because that’s the latest they will pick you up to bring you back to the resort. If you want to come back past 10pm you have to secure your own transport which is fine, but they will only drop you off at the bottom of the hill unless they are a 4x4 vehicle because nothing else can make it up the hill, so you end up having to walk up, which is no easy task. Especially if it’s been raining.
The staff were all very friendly, and willing to help however able. If peace and quite are your thing, this is the place for you. They have amazing views of the island and water.

South AfricaThe access road was in a very poor state after the rain, so had to walk up and down because it was too muddy for vehicles. Didn't mind it so much because its not that far, would be challenging for older people. Although the menu was delicious, it was very limited and not cheap. No fridge in room as they don't allow other drink to be brought in.
The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The service was fantastic. The room was very comfortable with a wonderful bed and view from the room. The pool was really great for a late afternoon wind down with a view. It was perfect for the 3 nights we stayed there and feels like it is much more than 3 star. Delicious food.

NetherlandsIf you want to see al nido this is not the place for your. Transfer from the hotel to the city is 800 pesos one way. And you can hire a scooter but the entrance from the road to the hotel is a working road with big holes and rocks and it is steep! Even the 4x4 had some trouble going up. So if you want rest yes this is you place! If you want to see thing this is not!!
We loved the staff and the beauty of the decor. They try to be a 5 star place but they are not (you are not paying for 5 stars ;). Still it is beautifull and the staff is very helpfull.

Australia- It’s powered by a generator which runs most of the day. There’s a constant humming in the background. - the only way up and down is by 4 wheel drive. Through a seriously rocky and muddy road. They charge you for the journey each way and it is not cheap.
Really nice spot to relax and take in the stunning view. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help.

Romaniaogh, many things. To begin with, I wouldn’t stay there again not because it’s bad, but because it’s far away from Corong corong beach or the port area where many boats are leaving from. You don’t need to tip at this location because the tip is included in your bill, apart from the listed prices. I believe is 10% or 15% in top of what you pay. They say here they have laundry services and massage, but at the location they said they don’t have. They say the massage personal is “full” but we were only three couples at the location, so it ie hard for me to believe that. They don’t have hair dryer in the room. I tried opening a drawer and some worms came out which was ew. They don’t have electricity 24h/7days: between 10:00 and 15:00 the power is out. Wifi and signals are poor to not working, it depends. The location is uphill. You need the transfer from the resort to the main road which they have for free from the morning until 10:00pm. And from here to the beach or other busy places, you’ll need a ride or a bike. Again, it was a nice place, but too expensive for the facilities and location on maps.
The property is really beautiful. It has a nice pool with a view, a nice deck, a few sunbeds and some chairs for you to lay under the sun. Bonus points for the food: everything we ate there was really good. The staff is mostly nice. The villa we stayed in was beautiful. They have transfer from the location to the main road which, trust me, it is necessary.

Saudi ArabiaIt is too far from town. And quite a hassle to go up and down the resort through a steep narrow road that they patiently drive you safely through. However, my friend and I had planned island hopping activities, and we found the resorts distant location unfavourable. Other than that, if you're planning on spending a couple of days 5 the resort, it is amazing. I would definitely go back! Also, in the near future, it would be a huge plus if the owners/developers considered adding more spa amenities such as a jacuzzi, hot bath /sauna etc. Since the guest would be spending 100% of the time there.
Mr. Niel and the rest of the staff were wonderful, absolutely professional, and won't hesitate to help you in whatever you need in a heartbeat. Food tasted great, and the portions were healthy as well. Ahana Resort is a modern resort, very clean facility, and a wonderful place to seclude yourself from the world and tune in with yourself and nature.

New ZealandThe property did gave us a lot of heads-up regarding the location and its distance from town, which sort of managed the expectation. As much as I enjoyed riding the 4x4 up and down the steep rugged road, being with old people with mobility problems, i can't help but to worry about them in case it will rain as the 4x4 won't be operational. The style of the rooms is minimalist, so on our standard room there is no place to have my clothes to be hanged. No towel peg inside the bathroom and no bathroom mat. There's no hand soap by my sink so i used the given small bar soap inside the shower but there's no container to hold it. Also, no slippers inside the room. I should have asked for these things but because of the looong days of traveling (another story) i just don't have the energy to deal with it.
It's the staff services that really stood out for us. Neil in the reception, Ryan the driver and the other staff did exceptionally making our stay very comfortable and our needs met.

PhilippinesMany things are mentioned on this page before: 1) there is limited to no internet (none for Smart) and the wifi fluctuates 2) food and especially breakfast options are very limited (but great coffee) 3) the door in our rooms was hard to unlock, which could be a major safety hazard in case of fire - please change your locks!! 4) the location and access to the property... the road up is both steep and not habilitated yet, making it very hard to go up by scooter or even 4-by-4. The resort has a free shuttle services down hill twice a day, but beyond that you will be charged for leaving and entering the resort. As vacation goers who like to go explore part of the day before returning back to the resort for a quick rest, and then to go out again... this was quite inconvenient. We had to park our scooters down hill and either walk up for 10 minutes or pay the shuttle fee. Once you reach down-hill, you still need to ride 20 minutes by scooter to reach El Nido town proper, which we don't mind but the first day it was impossible to get a scooter/trike into town.
This place looks exactly like the pictures - it gives you bali-vibes and provides you peace and quiet far away from the El Nido crowds. It is perfect if you want to spend your day lounging around the resort and pool but mainly stay resort-based. The place is very clean, a beautiful view and the rooms are great.

MalaysiaThe hotel is uphill on a road that is not yet constructed and therefore you can only get to the hotel on the 4x4 of Ahana which sometimes might not be available if you go out at night or need to go randomly to town or need your tour company to pick you up, this is a bit inconvenient.
Ahana has an amazing view, you can see beautiful sunsets from there. The rooms are nice and with a nice view as well. The pool and the rest of the facilities are brand new, also, the staff are the most friendly and helpful people we saw in El Nido, they made our stay a very enjoyable experience.
