The staff at the hostel were all helpful! It was clear they were dedicated to making our stay enjoyable. We did notice, however, that keeping up with the cleaning seemed like a challenge for the staff. Perhaps due to being understaffed, some areas, like the sofas downstairs, could have used a bit more attention.

The staff were fantastic! They were incredibly attentive and always happy to help with anything we needed. It felt like they genuinely cared about our experience. Breakfast was a delightful way to start the day. It wasn't fancy, but it was perfect! Fluffy pancakes, fresh eggs, and juicy slices of mango and watermelon – a simple combination that fueled us up every morning.

It’s noisy, due to being in a good location, means lots of outside noise from traffic. Just wore earplugs and was fine. Shower pressure is terrible. One occasion no water at all coming out. However problem was reported and fixed immediately. Improvements could be made by having hooks and shelves in the bathroom. There’s no where to put your stuff. Also a full length mirror in the room would be a nice touch. The bedding and towels were looking tired, no longer white. We had an issue the first night, they had over booked the hotel, so we had to stay across the road. Was alittle inconvenient, checking in and out again. Means our first day was wasted waiting around for our room to be ready. The boys were apologetic and offered us complimentary drink. Although we thought breakfast was great. Had pancakes and fruit every morning. It is advertised as a looking like there’s more of a variety. There is no choice. Pancakes or nothing.

Location was amazing! Close to everything. Rooms were small, but comfortable. There was a duvet which was a huge plus as most places we’ve found so far just provide a thin sheet. Air con worked well and was quiet. Provided with shower gels, shampoos, dental kit etc which is a nice touch. Fridge in the room. The two guys that work there, always working hard. Sorted out trips for us, even though they charge 100php more, we were happy to pay and see them get alittle commission. Pancakes at breakfast always tasted great.

It is too loud outside, a bit hard to rest if the noise is an issue for you. There were some lickings because of the aircon. There is wifi but not too good due to it is speed, it was hard to use it.

The breakfast was very minimal but good and there was a coffee shop available on the entry and the coffee was tasty. The room was okay. It has a balcony on the third floor with a sea view and, good location near restaurants.

Rooms are small and could be a little cleaner, but overall we enjoyed our stay in AJCB in Coron :)

The location is great, pretty close to the center so it might get a bit noisy at night. However the noise dies at around 23:00. The staff is very kind and helpful! but they run the help desk AND the coffee shop, seems like they can use more help :)

I think I had bad luck, but I don't think I've ever seen the room I actually booked. While checking in I was told that I was not staying at AJ'S but in the hotel across the road, due to "problems with the room" (I think overbooking). I had to swap rooms within the hotel the next day, while I was promised to go to AJ's after the first night. The third and last night I did sleep at AJ's but I do not think it was the room I actually booked. The rooms at the hotel were nice and also the room at AJ's was fine, but there is a serious communication problem.

Size if the room, wifi wasn't working on our level (3)

The room was clean and on good location for us (we left for a boat trip to El Nido after and the meeting point was very close). When landing on the airport we were led to a van and driven to the hotel (among other people who weren't going to our hotel) and they dropped us off there. Upon check-in no one mentioned anything about paying extra for the van but then on checkout we had to pay 350php per person. It's no big deal but it would be nice to be informed about that beforehand instead of getting no info and not knowing about how much it will cost at all. The room was as big as the bed was, so it was a little crowded with our luggage on the only part of the floor there was. The room was clean, the wet bathroom had hot water and there was an extensive guest kit (toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, combs etc), also there was drinking water, glasses, water heater. The Ac was a little loud but we were so tired it didn't matter. The windows are quite thin so you could hear everything from outside (mostly roosters 24/7 and traffic). Upon check-in we had to choose which one of the 6 breakfast options for the next day (if you like fruit a lot, don't let the option promising a generous amount of seasonal fruits fool you, we got a spoon of canned pineapple 😅). Overall it's a good option for a quick stay if you're solo traveler or not travelling with a lot of luggage.

The sheets and pillowcase were kind of wet and smelled like “kulob” when I arrived. Coffee was not included in the room anymore. Breakfast selection was limited not like the photos shown online. I had to ask for towel cause my room didn’t have one when I arrived.

Staff were kind, attentive, and approachable. Room was ok. Location wise is good near establishments and town center. Coffee bought downstairs is great.

Our bathroom didn’t have light . We have to use the bath without light for 2 days it was uncomfortable.

The breakfast is delicious and the staff was super kind , they help us to have our breakfast early in the morning before our island hoppings .

Wifi was not working all the time we were there! The water out of the shower is not a lot and bad pressure Cold sloppy pancake on one day They prag with their good coffee but then you can’t even have a cappuccino for breakfast

The room was small and sheets were stained. Our first night there, there was loud music and vacuuming coming from the lobby at 4.30am. Not sure if that was from our building or another one but you can hear everything happening in the lobby and most things from the street. In the bathroom, there isn’t any shelving for toiletries and we had no hot water during our stay.

The staff were the best part of this accommodation. They were very attentive to our needs from booking tours to helping us with ferry schedules. I appreciated the transport from the airport which only came up to 250 peso per pax. Location is very convenient being right in the town.

- wall in front of the window so barely daylight - We arrived at 6.30pm and were told our room is booked (even though we booked five nights). Probably another guest extended and they made a mistake so there was a double booking. Moving us to another place is fine, mistakes happen, but the way this was handled was very frustrating. There was no proper excuse, no discount on the first night, free nice coffee or anything like that to accommodate this mistake. They first wanted to bring us to a hotel 10 mins out of town until we started discussing for like 20 mins. In the end we moved across the road for the first night but like I said, there was no proper excuse, it felt like no one was really sorry at all (sorry can easily be said but you know when someone means it).
