Amarela is a peaceful retreat away from the busy and crowded Alona beach. Our room on the second floor above the restaurant had an ocean view and was very spacious and clean. The staff was wonderful and helpful with any questions or requests. Breakfast was plentiful and we especially liked the avocado toast!

Beautiful gardens, rooms & common areas; kept amazingly clean; lovely private beach; great facilities eg snorkel sets & fins, kayaks, darts, ping point, volley ball all inclusive. Massages available on site. Easy to get to alona beach, but way more peaceful and tranquil than staying there! Library with books, dvds and board games. Can book tours through there for comparable prices. Lovely and attentive staff. Restaurant food was fantastic (def tourist prices though)! Includes buffet breakfast was great!

Amazing resort in quiet area with private beach. Super nice staff, great food. Plus points for the little museum they have as well as library. Beautiful garden. Also a lot pf activities you can do, such as canoeing, table tennis, etc.

It was a perfectly beautiful resort with a lovely pool overlooking the private beach. The staff were friendly the garden was unique and the whole stay was perfect for what we were looking for. Would definitely come again

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay so much so that we really wished we could have stayed longer. It is a lovely location for beach walks. Be mindful of high and low tides if you wish to swim. It's easy to check them online, though, and the pool is great for times in between. The staff are friendly and helpful. We hired scooters for a day and a driver for another day with Kim's amazing assistance. I'm hoping to return as this has been my favourite place in the Philippines.

The prices for massage, motorbike rental and food are higher compared to other resorts I stayed at.

It’s a really quiet resort, with a beautiful garden, pool and private beach. The staff is amazing and willing to help with anything. There’s a free pick up service to the ferry or airport. Breakfast is buffet style with homemade pancakes, eggs and waffles. If you’re not able to attend breakfast they make you an sandwich with fruit, boiled egg and water or juice to go. The room was spacious and clean. Daily cleaning service was provided. The food in the restaurant was really good. It’s only a 15-minute motorbike ride from the busy Alona beach.

Maybe a little less expensive so others can experience your place. Also maybe you can incorporate transport by your shuttle to other places aside from just travel to and from the airport.

The service and staff were excellent. They made us feel very special and family. Shout out good job Ren, Nina , Sander, Jane and the others were pretty special too. The ambiance of the resort was great, felt like we were in our Philippine vacation house! Great decor, etc.

Delux Twin rooms advertised as corner rooms ( double aspect windows) but ours was not, although on the plus side the balcony view was better. Tour arranged via hotel with outside provider disappointing as not taken to the original Tarsier sanctuary on the itinerary and Butterfly farm had animals and reptiles in inappropriate cages.

Unique style with art depicting Filipino history and traditional wood carved features. Great pool and private beach.

A very beautiful, cozy hotel with big territory. The hotel has not many rooms and guests, its quiet and private. The food in the restaurant is delicious, the staff is wonderful. It must be a 5 star hotel.

There are some areas in the beach/sea where grass is growing which we didnt like so much,

The breakfast is good and offers very different food options. The staff is friendly and helpful too and they like also small kids. The hotel is designed in a Filipino way which makes you feel at home.

Luv all of it, the ambiance ,the room, the pool and our room, and the staff and even the owner of Amarela is so kind and accomodative! The food they serve every morning is balance and so delicious!

Excellent service from reception, room assistance, restaurant service, security personnel and specially the seamless tour arrangements. A good distance from the busier Alona strip but still accessible, 10 mins from the airport. Rooms and facilities are clean. Food is great as well.

We are a family of 4 with two small kids. Its a beautiful boutique hotel with everything we need (restaurant, water activities, etc.) It feels homey, staff are attentive and friendly. There is even an Art Gallery. Amazing place and we would definitely stay again
