How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing to dislike. It was just perfect!
My stay at Amigos was just heavenly, really! The room is really nice and clean. it has a proper blanket, which is really appreciated with the AC. Bed is super comfortable. The bathroom has hot water (even though you have to wait a little bit). There is a common little kitchen/dining area where you can use a fridge. It is kept really clean. The manager of the place is just the most genuinely nice and kind person I have met in the Philippines. He will always greet you and help you in any way he can to give you tips and make your stay more enjoyable. He showed me the local market to buy some fresh fruits, indicated me the most wonderful house reef I've seen to make some snorkel, and recommended the best dive center i've been to (Bongo Bongo). It is a very safe area and also there is always someone staying at the reception, so you know random people will never enter the property. I really wanted to stay there for longer!

Very clean and well maintained room. Staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. Definitely try some of the offered fruit =D. We felt very welcome and will definitely be back.

It was fine I liked staying here and would stay again. Not a Hostel at all the room was like a Hotel Room.
i didnt have the breakfast but the lovely gentleman made me coffe both mornings a really nice guy. The lady there too was very polite and friendly. they kept my bags while i waited for Transport. Walking distance to the beach and to the lovely Dauin. Deep sea diving available near by.

Noise from dogs in the street in the night, but thats not something the hotel can do anything about.
Super friendly staff and nice rooms. We stayed here while diving, and it was a good place to relax after a long day in the sun. Good A/C!

Object looked fresh and new. Everything was very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The air conditioning was efficient and quiet. Plenty of pillows. Bed was comfortable and big enough for two, albeit a bit narrower than expected. Free coffee and purified water were a nice bonus. The balcony was a perfect place to relax in the shade. Room size was sufficient.

For a hostel, this is the best!!!
I give this place 100%. Bong, the owner, did everything for the comfort of his guests. The room is immaculately clean. Bedside reading lamps were a bonus. Everything was thumbs up👍.

It must be the typo in the name, this place is definitely not the hostel, but very nice little hotel. It looks new, made with good materials, it’s clean, the towels there are the same quality I had in the hotel which was 2.5 times more expensive than Amigos. The attention and kindness of the owner and the team is very big plus to the staying there. Location is convenient for the beach, restaurants and there is even good massage salon in 10 min walk. Absolute recommendation, would stay there again without hesitation.

The staff was incredibly accommodating, and Sir Bong, who manages the place, is not only very friendly but also proactive. I recall our first day when Sir Bong and his team surprised one of the guests with a birthday cake. It's those small details that make a significant impact to the overall experience.

Absolutely everything. They are amazing, kind, caring, and friendly. I loved my stay and will come back anytime I'm in Dauin. The room was scrupulously clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony. Perfect location close enough to walk to anywhere in town but in a neighborhood with little traffic. Fabulous stay.

The room was clean and well equipped. The staff is fantastically friendly, helping with what you need! It's very close to the beach, about 2-3 minutes easy walking.

The shower head could be replaced with a better one
The facility is modern and clean. The location is quiet, yet close to some very nice restaurants. It was nice having a drying rack to hang out wet clothes outside the room. Bong the manager is amazing. He answered all my questions promptly before we arrived, and once there he helped us get to our dive center and with renting motorcycles for an excursion. He made us feel so welcomed.
