The 1km 4wd rough access rd in is funny 😄 then you arrive in paradise. Definitely needs more shade options on the beach quite a few few day visitors use the facilities which is not an issue as it’s quite a popular lunch spot, but it means that there is sometimes a lack of shade options in the afternoon, despite providing priority to the guests. Would be nice if there was more beach play sports equipment options

Very clean and best location.

Property is very clean and located on Nacpan Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in El Nido. The staff is incredibly attentive and nice. The communication between colleagues is flawless and we never had to repeat the same request to multiple colleagues. The music wasn’t loud, not the visitors who do not stay at the hotel. Overall, our stay exceeded expectations and would definitely come again!

We were in room 205 and there was the occasional stench of sewage from the toilet. I think it was limited to our room as our friends did not experience this. The bathroom lights are on a motion sensor. This is an over-engineered feature of the room. As using the bathroom in the night would wake up my partner and it was impossible to turn the lights off without them reactivating with the motion sensor. The menu in the restaurant got a little limiting. I would have appreciated more pan Asian options. A lot of the options were really heavy with fatty meats or heavy on cream. This is a general feature of Filipino cuisine though. A different lunch/dinner menu would make all the difference. The music at dinner was akin to what you might hear in an elevator or Chinese restaurant. Combined with heavy dishes this put me straight to sleep.

The location is stunning. The beach is one of the best I have been to. Super wide. Ultra fine sand. Gorgeous water. It is a proper boutique hotel. Not too many rooms. Just enough to provide an atmosphere without the impersonal nature of a large resort. EXACTLY the kind of property I look for. It just was amazing. The rooms are large, extremely comfortable and ultra modern. You can easily close the curtains at the touch of the button. My partner loved this. The friendliness of the staff is beyond belief. I was constantly smiling. The breakfast is a la carte which is so much nicer than a buffet.

The restaurant menu could be more diverse with more lighter options, or pan-asian food. I don’t really fancy Salisbury steak on the beach.

While the loungers are set aside for guests at the hotel there are not really enough of them and they do not recline fully into beds to facilitate sun bathing, also they didn't have enough umbrellas to provide shade to all beds. Room 101 is quite noisy being very close to the breakfast area and the bar meaning you are always at risk of being woken late or early by the staff.

The location was fabulous, even if the road to get there was a little bumpy!

Honestly I can't rate Angkla highly enough, the service, the setting, the beach, the staff! Particular mention for Edjohn, John and John in the restaurant and bar. Delicious cocktails, the food was phenomenal too. What a wonderful special place.

Even though they offer shared tours, they told us we could only arrange private tours (triple the price)… The hotel is open as beach club for people to spend the day, which sometimes results in crowded pool, kids running and screaming…

The location was on one hand nice and quiet but on the other hand quite far from the center.

The hotel was stunning, the beach just in front of the hotel was super nice, the staff was friendly, nice and helpful. The food (breakfast and the restaurant) was super tasty. Everything was great, we really enjoyed our stay and all the services around.

There are too many dogs around the property and on the beach, making it hard for us to feel safe to walk along the sand. The infinity pool seemed like it can be cleaned more often or at least have a filter.

The staff was very helpful and approachable. The private pool was nice and clean. The rooms were also very clean.

The only thing missing there was a wardrobe for clothes. There is a small area with coat hangers but it’s not enough when you’re staying for longer. We had our clothes in suitcases the whole time which made the room feel “untidy” and hard to walk in.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful, food in restaurant was delicious, room was very clean and comfy and the beachfront was just spectacular.

Amazing hotel, with a nice pool, smart rooms and good food. We stayed there for 4 nights and had an amazing experience. Super friendly staff, especially Edjhon :) who would address us by our names all the time.

- sensor lights in bathroom- go on full if you need to get up in middle of night and there’s no way around this. - cannot turn off balcony lights so room was rather light at night making it harder to sleep - a little challenging with location as road is unsealed and rough and will cost a lot more if you intend on doing day trips ( however just stay! And relax. Best beach in area) - in house massage was average ( no music, no pillow under ankles, didn’t use the oil I requested, didn’t cover my eyes) expected more for the price.

- beautiful location on Nacpan beach which is quiet clean and scenic. ( However road to get there is mental.. but not hotels fault) - comfortable spacious room well equipped - friendly and attentive staff. ( I especially liked they were kind to the dogs without the dogs interfering with the guests) - 2 swimming pools and a small but new gym. - airport transfers included - vegan menu - friendly and respectful dogs.
