Rooms are small , and you would need a scooter to get about here the beach.has a very steep hill on the way back, and there is a beach 15 drive away, called Talaudyong beach which shouldn't be missed

We loved staying here , we stayed 7 nights and enjoyed the bar and restaurant area. It was very social meetings over people coming and going also getting to know the family that run the place , the shower and toilet block is kept very clean too

The walk back from the beach is a steep hill so you might want to get a tricycle on your way back up

We wanted to rent a scooter to see other beaches and some other sights. They only had one scooter which was booked. You can’t see much without a scooter cos distances are long. They offered to drive us to another beach for 800pesos back and forth. It was very nice but then we missed a lot of places we wanted to see. This was quite unfortunate for us.

The hostel is very cozy and comfortable. We had our own room which was spacious. Met some nice people in the hostel. Clean room and toilets! Relaxing atmosphere.

I liked everything here no issues.

Beautiful place! My favorite in Philippines by far. Staff are so friendly and helpful here. Accommodations are perfect. It's away from any busy areas. Great location to relax and enjoy nature. Beach is beautiful and a short walk away. Food here is some of the best I've had so far in the Philippines. I highly recommend this place before going to El Nido or anywhere else on the island. You won't be disappointed with this place, I had an amazing stay here.

Personally I enjoyed all of it. but if you’re the type of person who likes to stay with lots of people, with a bunch of action then you may not like this place.

The owners was amazing and it’s a nice small hostel - it’s where I met my friends who I continued travelling with! it’s very social and good food and great drinks! tThe area is very quiet - that’s why I chose it because I didn’t want to be in the city. Close enough to the beach to walk or they have a couple bikes to rent. the beach is beautiful with good food and drinks, can take surfing lessons/rent a board!

The staff was wonderful on every level. They helped with everything from food to transportation, and they were always possible to reach. We had lots of good talks over beers. The location is great with the beach only a 20 minute walk from there. The food was incredible as well.

I have nothing bad to say at all. Bring cash and all the essentials with you as there are no ATM's in the immediate vicinity.

The family atmosphere was amazing. I was welcomed straight away. The hostel itself is about a steep 20 minute walk from one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Worth the hike. The dorm was clean with a comfy mattress. There was a hot water shower. In terms of food, I'm a vegetarian and I was served some of the best food I have had on my trip at B&R hostel. If you are looking for a quiet retreat in nature, close to gorgeous scenery this is the place for you.

Negative: located right on the side of a fairly busy road with loud motorcycles passing by, no wifi in the rooms (at the bar only), very low maintenance is made on the land and very basic cleaning in the installations (restrooms, showers, rooms)

Positive: it's cheap, big rooms, air con and fan

The room smells very moldy!!!! Staff offered us roomspray. To be honest, that doesn’t fix the problem. If you have asthma, don’t go there. We choosed to stay in puerto princesa instead and didn’t even stayed there, since there were no other available hotels. I didn’t received back the money for the nights but at least, the owner payed for the taxi going to the other hotel.

Dorms where standard,be aware that you are staying in the middle of the jungle so your going to come across a lot of insects when you are sleeping, showering, eating etc.. There is Aircon in the room but does not work very well so heads up you will get very sweaty when going to sleep. laundry and scooter rental needs to be reviewed regarding prices, originally I was getting charged 350 pesos a day with a full tank of fuel while here it was 500 pesos and done laundry by bag and not KG. scooter had no headlight bulb along with indicators working so that has to be fixed for when travellers do arrive. finally don’t want this review to come across as a bad stay it was ok 👌. But defiantly needs some touching up in areas to make it a better experience. 😊

location of the property was perfect to see the beaches nearby. family were nice, but I do think 9/10 rating on booking.com is definitely overrated for this accommodation.
