- Clientele: clearly people that want the sterilised version of the Philippines and to be waited on. Mostly affluent people that have no interest in interacting with other guests or even the staff. - Annoying, loud , know it all, affluent international school kids in the pool. - Most parents are not looking after their kids and seem to be more interested in drinking cocktails. Please note, these are only my personal opinions and what we experience in the 2 days stay there....The hotel itself is great.

- Brilliant staff, so polite and helpful, we felt out of place a little (like royalty) - Beautifull gardens and private access to a dock for a boat trip - Excellent preparation and service on trips - Good breakfast, but not as good as I was expecting for the level of the hotel (3 star quality)

Chickens!!! The hotel was lovely but it was surrounded by chickens and cockerels and they did not stop cockadoodledooing ALL NIGHT. This sounds funny but when your room was right next to it I genuinely didn’t sleep more than 4-5 hours it drove me mad. Rooms towards the other end of the hotel to where we stayed might not have been as bad and to be fair we didn’t ask to move. WiFi was a bit hit and miss.

Beautiful hotel, well looked after and maintained pool area/gardens. Pool had really good range of open hours. Staff were really friendly and helpful throughout. Breakfast had a reasonably good choice. Bar area by pool nice with good choice of drinks/cocktails. Location was great - short 5 minute drive into Coron Town. Reasonably good Gym facilities (24 hours) Rooms a great size, big comfy beds, good aircon and clean. Staff also brought treats every day which was a nice touch (like little biscuits and things).

They provided dirty drinking water. Got a parasite infection on the first day. Clean water should be a bare minimum. Staff is not consistent friendly, check in super nice, check out felt like they wanna kick us out.

Some spaces are not used, near the bar with barbecue area. It could be nicer if they put a relaxation area in this corner.

I love the breakfast, lots of choices with different varieties of Asian and foreign dishes. The location is good, the staff is very accommodating, the place is neat, they even have mosquito killer machine in every corner. They also have room for children to play. Very relaxing, perfect for a family vacation.

The breakfast had limited options for European/continental breakfast. There was a problem with the pool filter and the water turned greenish for a full day. Didn’t look very inviting. They ran out of ice so they couldn’t serve any sunset drinks. They could have offered a voucher for the next day to compensate but they didn’t.

Staff was extremely nice and welcoming. The room was very spacious and comfortable. We also enjoyed the little sweets which were brought to the room every evening. I also highly recommend the massage.

Lovely property with nice facilities. The staff is very friendly and helpful - they arranged pick up and transfers for us, ensured we had a breakfast baggy ready to go. We used the spa to get massages and it was a great experience.

The price to qualitu ratio is simply not ok. We paid about 3 times what most other good hotels offer, thinking that we would be getting something really good in return instead we faced a series of poor services...one day they changed the towels, but didn't leave any face towels, another day our A/C started dripping in the middle of the room, they didn't even send someone to fix it, inatead they sent us water...we sat one night for dinner they took an hour to serve french fries and shrimp (the manager stepped up and didn't charge us, but only after we complaint). They were missing simple things like balcony chairs. Also it was quite noisy

The resort is very nice, the room was very clean and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. We felt really good at Bacau Bay.

When ordering lunch by the pool, it will take some time to arrive. Also, on one particular day there was no staff near the pool, there were no towels and no option to order anything for quite some time. We had to walk to the restaurant to find someone.

Restaurant service was slow.

Rooms were comfortable, and the grounds were nice. We enjoyed our time by the pool. The view of the bay was also really nice. We liked being on the edge of town in a quiet location.

The first room was noisy with the pool staff speaking loudly just below our balcony in the mornings but the reception staff were amazing and instantly moved us to a quieter room on the other side of the resort. Don't forget to put a 'do not disturb' sign on your door as housekeeping did walk in most mornings when were sleeping. Otherwise no complaints, we were really impressed.

The staff were absolutely incredible and bent over backwards to meet all of our requests. They were always so polite and with a big smile on their faces. The sunset bar was lovely with great music and the most beautiful spot to watch the sunset. Lovely pool facilities and the bedroom was extremely comfortable with a big bathroom and shower. We rented mopeds and could always get a tricycle from outside the hotel. Would recommend you eat at Island Boy for amazing seafood and grill, also live music which was a great vibe. Overall, would definately return again.
