Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandYou cannot cook on place and are obliged to eat at their restaurant but the food is delicious and not more expensive than what you can regularly see in El Nido There was no electricity in our room, but they will charge your phone on their place, just slow charge cause of solar panels Be aware you risk to have a room that has to view on the see and is behind, if you paid the more expensive room that has view on the sea don't forget to mention it The less expensive room says view on the see but has none
Simply amazing place, If you like snorkeling you will love this place, there's a sunken ship that is full of sea life and close to the surface (you can see it on maps) You can borrow snorkels and diving mask, palms, life jacket,... Play badminton, volley ball, enjoy the beach which has almost no one on (very calm) The breakfast is included and delicious, and you can freely reful your water You have to be aware that for the confort is close to a camping site experience, that's not an hotel room I saw some huntmans spiders but not too big, no worries because the room has a net so no bad bugs or spider will bother your sleep The people there are super kind If you go in Palawan you really should go there, to me it's better than your A,B,C or D you could do in El Nido, go there fist ! I advise you to stay 2 to 3 nights there Not less because there's a lot to see and experience, not more due to the confort and price of the food

GermanyWe hate... that we had booked only 3 nights!
All personnel kind ad helpful, especially Dom and Andy, working so hard to make our stay awesome. Paradise like location that you have dreamed but didn't know it existed. Beautiful and comfortable huts. Bathrooms and showers very clean and practical. Small size of the structure makes the experience very nice, quiet with stilll some very good time with the other clients. Snorkeling absolutely fantastic with a shipwreck on the beach. Don't hesitate to go Snorkeling also from the beach in front of the village, there are huge colorful corals and multicolored fish. We could swim with a giant turtle 🐢 met when kayaking in the next bay after the village. Food is very well prepared and good. Some complain that they had to wait... sorry for them, most likely they had an urgent appointment 😅 . Snorkeling equipment provided, kayak for rent much cheaper than in other structures around. The 2 only others "hôtels" are accessible for a drink, lunch or dinner... this allows for variety... Transfer by boat is free of charge if you do during check in/out time. Tom is very reactive with messages to give you all information you need. For us one of the best travelling experience ever!

Isle of ManCould do with a few more comfy hammocks as don't like the net ones.
Beautiful place and excellent location. In El Nido its hard to find somewhere to sleep that is actually on a beautiful beach. Also there's not many places left in the world that are truly back to basics in a pretty much prestine environment.

GreeceWe visited end of November '22. This place is what we were dreaming of.The beauty of the tropical scenery, the tranquility, everything is dreamy there! The Backpacker's paradise is the best spot on the island, with the best beach to swim properly. We walked to the other 2 camps and we realized that the beach wasn't as good.Lucky us!There's even a shipwreck very close to the shore so you can snorkel there anytime. The huts are beautiful and comfy. The whole area is very clean and well maintained. Most important, the family that runs the place made us feel so welcomed.Everyone did their best to make us happy. The kindness we received was something else. Dad helped with our transfer from/to Teneguiban and Mum's food was super tasty everytime! Can't wait to go back! Love from the 2 Marias

FranceWe had the best 4 days of our whole 20 days Filipino trip here on Darocotan island. Life gets simple, reconnecting with nature through its paradise beaches and jungle, soothed by the sounds of nature. The infrastructures are simple, a bed with a moskitoe net in a bamboo haus on the beach and we loved it. Food was very good although a bit more expensive than what you will usually find in other places probably because the food is brought by boat. We were surprised to discover this ship wreck right in front of the resort, full of corals and fish, although the visibility is not the best. This place is a gem. Thank you to all the staff that made my birthday memorable ❤ it was wonderful !

France1 day before the arrival day to get any information about « How to Come » it’s maybe too late. There’s a lot thing to know to go there. Transfer, price, distance, hour of FREE transfer boat. And the price of the boat during no Check-in hour.
Perfect little place without crowned tourist area. Nature, silence, few people. Beautiful beaches. Sleeping listening the wave. Staff very helpful. Breakfast and dinner excellent !

United KingdomNo electricity apart from 6pm to 10pm + lots of mosquitos - both of these are not anyones fault and just a part of island life, just be prepared for this.
Andy the manager was very helpful in arranging things for us. The team who cook, clean and arrange boats are very friendly and helpful. I am already recommending this place to my friends, it is so underrated.

AustraliaNo wifi and poor satellite service. This is totally fine however it was very difficult to contact anyone in urgent situations. If you’re someone who needs electricity all day, this isn’t for you (I think this added to the experience tbh).
Loved how private, secluded and beautiful this island was. The huts were super cute and the beach was steps away (as it’s also tucked in a little by shape of the island, we didn’t have any wind when other parts of the island did). Tommy was incredibly helpful at all times, very responsive (even at the most awful hours of the night). Everything was perfect. Food was also very good and nice portion sizes!

Czech Republicremote island, small cottages, nice bathrooms. it’s right on the beach, there is also the ship wreck with very nice and healthy corals just couple of metres from the beach. the staff was very kind, the food was amazing. it’s little bit tricky to get to the port, so it’s better to contact the staff in advance - they will call you the tricycle who actually know where he is going.

United KingdomThe only thing we didn’t like was that the resort said ‘Adult Only’ online and on Booking.com but on this night we extended our booking and some children came and were screaming in the day and night which ruined our last night! Apart from that everything was amazing though!
