Balai benedicere is a little sanctuary of peace and shade. The owners are warm, welcoming and will do their best to make you feel at home. They have a wonderful staff so everything is there to enjoy your stay.

The owners and staff put in a great deal of effort and were very accommodating. The home cooked meals were delicious, and the natural surroundings tranquil. The pool was also perfect for the very hot days. Simply put, It is the ideal place to relax and unwind for a few days.

The property was beautiful! Very unique home with lots of art work and vintage items. It was decorated well, clean, and well maintained. The room was super comfortable and the pool was met with a scenic background of trees. Therese, Arman and the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They were so kind and made our stay very pleasant! Would definitely recommend.

A Bed & Breakfast stay that offers exceptional vacation experience.We came as a family of 6 plus 1 child. Mr. Arman and Mrs. Therese Martinez and all of the staff are very friendly and accomodating. Serene and quiet place to stay plus the rooms are clean, cozy and comfortable. Much like your home away from home. And the food they offer are superb especially the vigan longganisa, turon and leche flan😊. Parking space is for free. Will definitely come back.

I think a hammock will be a nice addition at the pool area. Haha. And since the place was so beautiful, I was always afraid of hitting their things :)) Otherwise, a great place to stay at.

Starting with the booking, the hosts promptly respond to your inquiries and the payment was seamless. Upon arrival, the hosts greeted us and guided us to the parking space. They also have allocated a space for us since there was another guest arriving on the same day. They toured us to the different areas of the compound, introduced us to their helps, and somewhat got acquainted with their dogs. Haha. They have a shelf full of books and nice reads also such as by Arthur Clarke and biographies of prominent people. There are paintings in the bedroom and living rooms. They also have a book narrating their story. It also contained the "must-see" of La Union and the eating places with their recommended foods! The pool was clean and the food was great! The vigan longganisa was my favorite. The place was peaceful and pristine and the hosts were accommodating and mindful of our needs. When checking out, there were no problems and they were very nice bidding us goodbye. Overall, it was a great stay and we will definitely consider Balai Benedicere when we visit La Union again in the future.

Family owned private resort with many details to comfort, service and quality. We were welcomed by the owner, Therese who did everything to ensure we are comfortable. It was a wonderful experience for a short stay at this beautiful place while heading north.

Everything! The property was safe. They have really good amenities, interesting pamphlets, and activities to make your stay interesting. Above all the staffs and the owners were very accommodating. It was a cozy stay. The best! I’d love to visit this place again. Worth the trip.

We couldn't control that our neighbors played music in the morning. You can also hear cars outside, but it's not too bad.

As a couple looking for a place that's quiet, close to nature, and to relax, Balai Benedicere not only met our expectations, but well exceeded them. It's definitely the best B&B we've stayed at in the Philippines, and one of the best stays overall on the islands for us. We came because we saw pictures on Google maps of beautiful trees. Imagine waking up and seeing the light shine through the branches, the birdsong accompanying the morning rays that have yet found its full strength. I did a short meditation by their beautiful pool observing the glow emanating from above, like an invitation to all that's good. It was a magical morning spent in near stillness, a bit of yoga, and a cooling off swim. The attention to detail of Therese and Arman's abode is exceptional. They gave great directions, thought ahead for their guests, kept signage in strategic places, and chose decor that showed they really cared about the sanctuary they shared. Therese, Arman, and their helpers were all very warm and helpful. Arman even shared some freshly made hummus, which was a delightful surprise. The rooms have everything you could possibly need. You get a free breakfast with coffee and tea. There's a record player singing some soulful tunes, checkers, a great book selection, a guitar, it's pet friendly, and the surrounding environment promotes peace and serenity. Take me back!!! It's not beach front, but it's a short drive away. It's not for parties or large groups either. Really, it felt like a get away. It was a retreat we'd recommend to anyone not seeking crowds, parties, bars, drinking but would appreciate silence, reflection, self-care, and interesting chats.

We had a wonderful experience, breakfast if great (special sugar from Ilocos sur is a must-try), exceptional hositality and we felt right at home. We wanted to spend more days in this tranquil home and we'll definitely come back.
