The location. The food. The cats and dogs. The interior. The fresh cool air (not to mention the aircon was fast cooling) The staff/ owners. Everything was surreal. Feels like home.

The space for luggages, but it’s advisable to just have backpacks with you instead.

The property is just newly built that time we booked. It was unique and the way the space was maximized to have 2 beds is truly amazing. Felt like you’re not in Iloilo.

I don't like to give great reviews as it makes it more difficult to book again.

Anj and Greg were so helpful, even gave me a lift into town. Nice to chat to other guests and enjoy the common area. Very comfortable and I would definitely recommend Balai Lawaan. Although it's a bit out of town there is ample cheap buses and jeepney going to the terminal and Iloilo.

I think the 3 things that could have made my stay even better were: 1. Mosquito repellant/killer in both the room and the restroom (maybe a katol or something similar since mosquitos tend to bite me a lot haha!) 2. just an option: an electric fan in the room, for guests who don't want to use the A/C all the time. 3. again, just an option: a thicker blanket/comforter For me all these are just options, but not must haves, aside from the first one! :) In the future, maybe the restroom can also have an enclosure for the shower, so the toilet can stay dry. :) But this is also just an option!

This homestay was great! Anj, the owner is very accommodating and really makes you feel safe and relaxed, and like you're taken care of. I couldn't recommend this property enough! I'm so glad I got to meet her and her family and also have a very relaxing stay where I felt comfortable. The cleanliness is also something I really appreciate. Anj was truly like a mother to me also during my stay! I knew that I was safe in the city and that I was safe in their home. Thank you so much for the hospitality and warmth. I loved the layout of the area as well, lots of places to relax, read, hangout, absorb the peacefulness away from the main hustle and bustle of the city, and feel fresh air and the breeze.

The CR is outside the room although it is non-shared. We appreciate though that they are putting wood slabs for privacy.

Ms. Anj and Sir Gregg were so helpful. They were so accommodating and very attentive to our needs. This place is well recommended because it is accessible to a bus terminal, food restaurants, and malls!

The host (and her family) is very hospitable. The room is spacious. The house is just nice 😀 The breakfast options are great. The place is close to a transport terminal. Though adjacent to the city center, if you wish to spend a little for transport but you have that feeling of exclusiveness then this one is for you. Wifi is strong for those who needs to work.

We have extended our stay! Well, we feel comfortable with this property. Totally home stay. It’s a home away from home. We have all we need. Accessible to common commuters and it’s right where the main bus station is located. You also have food options around. 7-11 just around the corner and small restaurants. A mall is just a few miles away. Cooking facilities are available where you can cook. Overall, the facilities and the property is a perfect homestay for couples and backpackers. The owners are wonderful. They are awesome people. Thank you guys for the amazing stay.

The location of the property where the the bus station is located. Accessible for commuters going to the city proper. The property is in the right place where common commuters would need. The property is really cozy. Comfortable stay and you have all what you need for a homestay. The property owners are also very kind and responsive in our communications. I would definitely book again for another stay. Highly recommended for couples and backpackers.

I suggest they put a table & chair in the room, because guests like me also work online while traveling. I know medyo masikip na sa room for this, but those are really essential in a room. Thanks ;)

Definitely exceeded my expectations. Very homey feel, you can really relax well and you'll feel like an extension of their small family kasi nasa loob ng vicinity talaga sya ng tahanan ng host. So you would also feel safe and feel like home ;) The hosts Ms Anjie and sir Greg are very kind, warm and welcoming. And I'm so touched kasi fave color ko pa ang color ng curtain, pillows and bed sheets during my stay. ;) I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Iloilo...
