The view of the mayon volcano has been blocked by the 3 storey building you have to move around to get a beautiful view of mayon volcano.

Place is like your home. with beautiful bougenvilla flowers and staff is accommodating

The location is difficult to find if you don't use Google Maps. Not all residents in the area know about the guesthouse to point where it is. Even if you do use Google Maps, there are spots where internet is unavailable and the real time location does not show.

There were multiple common areas and one would immediately infer that this place was meant to connect people together. In one common area, the open window has a direct view to Mayon.

Only difficulty is you need to walk 10 minutes to get a tricycle. A telephone system could work with dedicated tricycles to call them at your place?

If you are looking for place like home away from home, don't look any further. Shared kitchen with stove, fridge and free coffee allowed us to make our own breakfast. Our room was very comfortable and clean with Inverter air conditioning and private bathroom and shower. Hosts and staff very attentive and friendly.

You can already see the Mayon from the roofdeck or 3rd floor. Very accessible to SM Legazpi and to other tourist spots.

The towels and beddings have strong scent of fabcon...im allergic to it..and I smell a bit of rust in the running water especially in first opening but as the water flows the smell disappear...the fridge in our room does not function..over all we enjoyed our stay at Balai Tinay Guesthouse

Very homey, we are tired from trips but the accomodation is very welcoming and we feels like home that we have a good rest..the ambiance is quite and with beautiful blooms of flowers in the terrace, lots of plants around...with ample parking slots for guest with vehicle..with free hot and cold water to drink in the lounge area..allowed to order grab delivery but we are not able to eat there since our schedule is roll at dusk then go back after lunch and recharge then at 5 pm we are on the roll again returning after dinner outside. The accomodation have more lounge area in any floor, there are lots of board games to enjoy...but we'd rather watch Netflix😆..Mother has no problem getting up and down the stairs...our unit has a separate backdoor entryway to the lower dining area..really we enjoyed our short 4 days 3 night stay at Balai Tinay Guesthouse..the staff are polite and helpfull.

Plenty of space to relax outside of your room. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Washing facilities, free tea & coffee. Free water, hot and cold. We used the fridge and warmed up some food. Great rooftop terrace that has a fantastic view of Mt Mayon. Very clean and our bed was super comfortable. AC was so quiet ( the best we’ve had in the Philippines) We had a lovely stay and would have stayed longer if we could.

The hostel was exceptional. Excellent staff. The room was beautiful. Lovely shared facilities. Would work well for families/couples/friends. Really kind staff who went above and beyond for us. We left something precious and the staff helped liaise with where we left it and even helped us afterwards by couriering it to us. So thankful! Thank you very much! Would definitely recommend this hostel. Helpful at arranging tours. Easy location near lots of food areas in Legazpi.

The best accommodation I found so far in the Philippines. Great atmosphere, close to the centre of Albay, modern rooms and super helpful staff. Additional plus is the fully equipped kitchen if you fancy cooking some dishes.
