How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The exhaust pipe from the neighbors’ electric generator (there are power cuts in el nido) was located right across the street from my room and the fumes were getting in
The staff is so nice and helpful and the guesthouse is very comfortable, with an AC that is pretty silent and really well located in the center of town while still quiet at night. Room was quite spacious and spotless clean. Also there is hot water.

Room was a lot smaller than the 40m2 it supposedly was. We live in 36m2 ourselves and this was much smaller, there is only a foot to two feet around the beds. Balcony is miniscule, as good as unusable.
Location was quiet compared to rest of El Nido

You can find ants on bed sheet at times, but from my experience, that is very normal there and was not a problem for us at all.
Very good price for what was provided. Location is superb. Staff is friendly. Very clean. Spacious for the deluxe room. Free coffee, clean hot and cold water for use at all times.

No hair dryer as advertised, water pressure in the shower was so low, we had to use the bucket and deeper , only one electric outlet and unstable WiFi
Great location right in the heart of El Nido. A few minutes walk to shops, bars, and pick up point for island hopping. Amazing staff , polite, and always willing to help, also hot and cold water dispenser outside our room, which was great.

The air con is very noisy but sleeping without it is impossible The shower is above the toilet which is inconvenient The room is quite small But you get what you pay for! You want more, you pay more!

It’s quite noisy at night if your room overlooks the main road. I’d recommend trying to stay in a room that doesn’t overlook the main road to avoid this.
Great location next to the main town in El Nido. The staff were lovely and the room was very clean. We had all our basic amenities and the air conditioning worked very well. There was filtered water in a cooling machine just outside the rooms which was a huge plus for us - no need to buy bottled water everyday! It’s simple accommodation and we enjoyed our stay.

No WiFi in the room. Very noisy around. Booked with balcony, had no. Water to shower smelled bad.
Location was good, could get to everything quickly. Water and coffee was available all the time.

Too close from the very near the main street which is never getting sleep.
The staffs are super nice and friendly. They are probably the best in the town. Their hospitality is amazing. But you have to endure the noise from the outside and room is small for two people. It is still one of the recommended inn in the downtown.

communication could be better. I was on my last day for free cancallation, 1 week in advance(wanted to stay one day shorter), I called about it and they told be it would be fine, so I didn’t cancel. (I didn’t have the option to change the numbers of days online) and got no confirmation, later again I asked a few times on the booking chat and again I didn’t really get a real confirmation. When I checked in I mentioned again about it and they seemed surprised… So I hate to say it but I’m kinda disappointed, paid the extra day without staying. Otherwise I would’ve given an 8!
Great location, staff is friendly, free water and coffee. views are great as well when you go out of your room.

Room was very small, hard to fit stuff for 2. Balcony very very small, good enough to dry clothes, but not to sit or stand. Instead use the terrace. Aircon was very noisy but necessary. Price is El Nido range, that felt pricier than elsewhere.
Great view to the karst rocks from open terrace at street side. Good shower, free coffee and the owners organise trips, bike rental etc for a fair price. Fridge in the room a plus. Easy to walk anywhere in minutes. Our room was facing away from the street...means good night sleep.

The wifi doesn’t work that well. Balcony door did not lock and bugs came through the gap in the door.
The accommodation had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Great location - right in the heart of El Nido town, close to lots of shops and restaurants etc. The staff are attentive, helpful and very friendly.

I wasn't crazy about the shower in bathroom situation. But that's how many showers are here.
