How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Liked everything.
Important to me, an excellent working air-conditioning. Quiet location but very close to the main restaurant street. Very flexible owner in regards to checking in and out. Great beds. Clean premises.

The bathroom can be a bit small. It would benefit of shower curtains, an inexperienced person could soak the bathroom.
The family running the homestay is amazing! The room is very clean and location couldn't be be better!

The towel rack and sink basin in the bathroom needed to be fixed.

We liked everything.
Great location, near to the port and fresh market. Friendly staff. Given Coron's frequent power outages, the accommodation's generator greatly improved our homestay comfort.

The homestay is located at the town area. Close to many restaurants, shops and the pier where you can find boats for daytrips. The staff was very friendly and did their best to assist us. I went diving almost every day so it was helpful that they have a balcony where we can hang our clothes to dry.

The room fully meets the description. It is simply furnished but functional and very clean. The location is really good. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. I would definitely come back.

Alfie’s & Bambi’s hospitality was absolutely amazing. From the moment I left arrival hall I felt I was looked after, making impossible possible to make my hols memorable. Getting to know each other over delicious crab that I was shown how to prepare. Such home stay is what makes them stand out! Cannot recommend it uiii

The room was quite big and the a/c worked well. Everything was clean, the staff I met were friendly and helpful and the location is near the port for island hopping tours and bars/restaurants. Water and coffee making facilities were available, too. Very simple place but more than enough for a few days in Coron, especially if you're there just for the excursions.

This stay is in the middle of the town, so you can reach out to everything in the city by foot. Not only was the room very clean (No Bed Bugs etc.) and constantly cleaned for us, also the staff there is outstanding and supports you with everything you probably need (Thanks Alfie). AC and Hot water works perfectly, no shortage of water or energy supply during our 10day stay. We highly recommend this place for your stay in coron!

Very simple stay located in a great area of coron right near restaurants and shops. I loved staying in this area of coron and am very happy we opted to stay in a small guesthouse versus a resort. The staff was very helpful in helping us plan excursions and arrange a taxi to the airport. I will say, this room is very very simple and is basically just a room with a tiny bathroom.

I like that it feels more like home. The owner and the staff are gracious and easy to get along with. They always make sure that we have everything that we need. Good internet connection, with sufficient water supply for drinking and everyday needs. Unli coffee for coffee lovers. The location is a stone throw away from the docks where all the tours arrive and depart. It is also in the center of the town proper so it is easy to find and buy stuff that you need, at walking distance from all the best resto, bar and market. Difinitely a budget friendly homestay.

It can be loud at times from the other room.
Location was central and close to everything. The host provided exceptional service and was very helpful. The free unlimited water & coffee was very nice to have as well.

Kuya alfie helped me upon my arrival. The owner, Bambi, was so lovely to speak to and always so welcoming! Aircon works so well. Power of the shower is very good. Location is close by to the port where the tours take place and the lively town. The room is clean. They let me do laundry for a reasonable price as launderettes are quite pricey in coron compared to el Nido. Very comfortable stay in the heart of Coron. Would return again!!
